The romance reader in me is screaming enemies to lovers ranch edition lol. I don’t know why I have this strong feeling hat Ellie Mae is either a relative of Don( estranged niece or daughter) or she’s an old friend’s granddaughter who may have passed away and he feels obligated to watch after her. The way she snapped at Wyatt makes me think that she’s been told that she would fail and couldn’t manage a business on her own so now she has to prove that she can. That she doesn’t need help. Poor Wyatt is in the dark. He definitely doesn’t seem like the type of guy to lose his temper. I hope he can eventually get a straight answer out of Don.
I don't know what it is, but I'm really enjoying the flow of this let's play series. It feels like it's full of story, yet you present it in a way that is very digestible, even for someone like me whose attention span can be absolutely awful at times. 😂
You are correct that you have to have placed at the master level in all four categories to enter the Ultimate competition-- it also has to be on a Saturday. You can increase your chances of winning (by a lot) by having your horse in the Confident mood, which you can achieve pretty easily through the "encourage training" interaction-- and make sure their needs are totally met so when the Confident buff wears off, the horse will be Happy or Very Happy instead of Fine.
I think Don had good intentions on trying to get them together But Don didn't think before he got in the middle of two of them. But I think Wyatt likes doing things a little bit slower at his on pace since all his decisions effect his kids. I think both Wyatt & Ellie Mae was caught off guard by what Don was doing. Your stories are so good.
I love that Sims can sit on the ground now, but at the same time, sometimes it's bothersome. I had a Sim once sit NEXT to the kitchen table, rather than IN THE CHAIR, to do homework. Like.. really? 😂 On another note, I am still loving this series, and I kind of like that him and Ellie Mae got off to the wrong foot. Whether they get together or not, it's a nice change to the usual (and I am SO guilty of this too) 'omg you so pretty, I luv you' type of first meeting. Ironically I did something similar (or was going to, a blizzard thwarted my plans) with the new family I started, it's fun! Still love this series, there's something so different and magical about Chestnut Ridge even though we have other desert-y worlds. It really feels different. Can't wait to see where this goes next!!
I was so confused like of course, yes the floor is viable even though there are 6 CHAIRS 😂 And yes! I didn't want their relationship, whatever it is, to necessarily be easy and simple. It's complex, it's messy, it's riddled with miscommunication. Seems more realistic and different from how I normally approach things like this (whatever "this" is) 👀 I can only agree. I love Chestnut Ridge. It's one of my top favorite worlds now.

Idk what Ellie Mae is to Don but I have the faints feeling that this whole thing between Wyatt and her will be a enemy to lover thing on the Ranch but other then that loving your story telling style it is wonderful 😊
I find that you come up super fun/interesting concepts for story's and I love the way you tell them but you always add unnecessary romance that always end up turning me off. I still love your series tho, no diss lol.😊
The romance isn’t unnecessary, it’s in fact a huge thread in most of my stories. Those are the stories I like telling. Intimacy and love are part of the human condition, and they take many forms. And love is transformative in so many ways 🤍 If you don’t enjoy those stories, that’s completely fine, however this doesn’t make the romance components unnecessary.
