John Sjöberg I've never owned one, or known anyone with one, that I can remember. I had rats as pets and they ate ANYTHING so it shouldn't have shocked me so much. It's a rodent after all.
One of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs! I love the diversity of creatures you have. Can't wait till next time! Definitely be sharing this video with a lot of friends. Amazing footage.
I don't know if the hamster roach hunting was inspired by my email at all but that was super adorable! They got a little workout and a nice crunchy roach. Protein and enrichment all at once! I'm glad that the little fluff is doing well in your care.
Long videos! Yes! I got a smile on my face when I saw '23 minutes'. Made myself warm and comfy in bed, all ready for 23 minutes of pure enjoyment. Thank you!
Bruh snakes are less maintenance than a potato I swear u just buy it an enclosure with a heater and it sleeps everyday and dont make noises and eats once a week That being said its not like u cant handle a snake They are pretty passive But i wont say that about big snakes that have the potential to size u up
But all ya gatz tu doo tu take kare uv u potato is buy one and put it in a freezer :P But snakes are pretty cool. I’ve never had one before but I want one. The problem is muneez and family. The only thing I’ve been able to get in the past 8 years was a fire belly toad. Which I still have :)
Awesome vid! I always envy your collection and find myself tempted to spontaneously buy half of TSS! Also, does that Cresty need fattening up a bit? He looked a tad thin to me (but I've never kept Crested Geckos before).
@@ganjalfdergrune4279 they actually don't mind not having a lot of space. They really don't mind being handled either :) They're really cute and they like looking at us humans. They're very strong also, great for our gardens. The last two I caught (because I didn't want them killed, sad thing about humans) one was a tiny little black guy with white, he preferred to be in the front yard away from the birds, hence being inside our old house. The female I could was beautiful tan with a big booty! She really liked her container. Unlike the small black male, she webbed it up and wanted to make it her home (She may have been pregnant or going to molt) but she didn't want to leave her container. She really liked looking at my partner, and was super comfortable with me but much to her dismay, I will not keep them. I found a green and reddish brown one a couple days ago that really liked my coffee cup. He was happy for me to grab him off before he drowned and happy for me to teach my child about him, and I put him in our flower bushes so predators wouldn't find him :) Jumping spiders are one of my favourite spiders and always have been. They're just as inquisitive of us as I am them. I can't stand that people will kill them 😔
I like when the roach goes in the cork tube like "oh this is nice and dark" then feels some spider legs and nopes out of there! For the fruit flies there are many plants that attract and consume them!
I personally was terrified of spiders/tarantulas but I quite enjoy watching you handle them which is weird I’m slowly getting over my fear of them thank you
Hoooly mother of god, 6:04 that is A LOT of spring tails 😱 (right side) !! How do u get so many?!?! where do you buy :) (or are they even springtails?)
I really enjoyed this whole video. A lot of animals eating is always really heartwarming to watch especially the hamster running after his roach. This was really full of suspense!
Great video as usual! May I give you a tip from my own experience? :-) My Theraphosa stirmi died when I kept it too dry (I moistured it every three days) because it got stuck in its molt. Lindas substrate looks a bit dry, so maybe you could moisture it more often. Greetings!
My uncle has hamsters and a bearded dragon but i've never seen him feed the hamsters anything other than seeds and vegetables so I thought they don't eat insects. Im going to give them a locust next time im there
Not really after his post fight press conference and his decision to fight again so soon. Im sorry my comments still hurts you so much that you have to stalk me on here
Alexander Brown This is a channel where a Croatian guy feeds bugs. Don't be pissy with me because you're too stupid to take your beef to the private messages.
I hope a young child/adult isn't watching this video to read such filthy language. How is that fair to Dark Dens viewers to read such filth? Take it elsewhere.
Yeah they are, but not aggressive and can't climb glass so they are easy to keep if you have experience. We don't have any regulations in Croatia for these animals
No. You don't need a DWA licence for them in the UK. The DWA list hasn't been updated for years. I have a Sicarius thomisoides. They are not aggressive at all and are simple to keep. But you still shouldn't go poking your fingers in there. Their venom can kill.
Sicarius terrosus (six-eyed cave spider) is a highly toxic (and somewhat infamous) spider of the sicariidae family, whose bites, however rare, are characterised by significant necrotic pathology and potential mortality. This is largely because of the presence of sphingomyelinase D in its venom, in the form of Phospholipase D StSicTox-betaIC1. This has been shown to cause dermonecrosis in mammals as well as being a potent insecticide. Additionally an StSicTox-beta IF1 variant is present, which similarly catalyses sphingomyelin hydrolysis, does so with low effectiveness and does not cause dermonecrosis, blood vessel permeability and platelet aggregation. Two cytochrome C oxidase subunits (catalyses reduction of O2 to H2O) are found in this venom, as well as reserves of NADH dehydrogenase. Source: venomtech.co.uk/news/2015/01/sicarius-terrosus-venom/ TL;DR: The sand spiders have one of the deadliest venoms of all spiders. The effect like leprosy on steroids and ebola combined.
Can you record a video "cleaning up the enclosers"?.. For example that spider with a lot of web. How do you clean it, or its not necessary to clean it? Thanks
I only happened upon this channel because I recently discovered I could keep pet jumping spiders. I never knew I even liked any spiders. But now I spend an unhealthy amount of time watching all kinds of arachnid videos. Petko is my absolute fave.
Great vid! Not sure if you addressed this in an older video but where do you get your enclosures from? Especially those smaller plastic ones like you keep the Sicarius thomosoides in.
Another great Video 😊. I have 2 Slings. A Caribena Versicolor & a Psalmopeous Cambridgei so I like to see yours. I love my Slings so much. I have a Juvenile Brachypelma Emilia arriving soon also & I can't wait. Your videos help me feel more confident I can ensure my babies thrive xx
Hej, Petko, kako si? I have a question for you. with all the experience you have with new and old world tarantulas, what would you say is the best beginner old world? I know thats like saying "what is the safest bomb?" but if you had to pick one old world to bring someone over from new worlds, what would it be?
I love how in the description box there is a list of scientific names followed by just "hamster".
I think the scientific name is Phodopus sungorus :D, i have 2 phodopus roborovskii they are super cool!
Hamster
That is a winter white hamster,a little bit bigger than the Robo. My girlfriend has both of them 😜
Haha lol is true
I don't know, I kinda liked "Crested Gekon" myself.
;)
The Hunting Hamster
Coming soon to a cinema near you
John Sjöberg that was awesome wasn't it? I've personally never seen a hamster eat a roach! I had no idea they would eat roaches!
My sister had a friend who was friend with a girl whose hamster would eat almost anything you fed it, so I'm not that surprised by this
John Sjöberg I've never owned one, or known anyone with one, that I can remember. I had rats as pets and they ate ANYTHING so it shouldn't have shocked me so much. It's a rodent after all.
So cute 💯💯💯

One of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs! I love the diversity of creatures you have. Can't wait till next time! Definitely be sharing this video with a lot of friends. Amazing footage.
I didn't knew hamsters could eat roaches 😂😂
Juan Pablo Rodríguez Me neither 😅 But I gave mine a living mealworm last week and he loved it! 👍
Juan Pablo Rodríguez Me too. Truly a dark den hamster lmao.
Neither did I, at least I didn't know they're hunters. The hamster I had took some chicken I tried to give him once... for science! ^^
XD me either😂
Juan Pablo Rodríguez that was the coolest though, right?
I don't know if the hamster roach hunting was inspired by my email at all but that was super adorable! They got a little workout and a nice crunchy roach. Protein and enrichment all at once! I'm glad that the little fluff is doing well in your care.
I love your excited face when you get a good feeding shot!! Heehee 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 💖💖
Great video! It's nice to see how happy you are when feeding your animals.
Long videos! Yes! I got a smile on my face when I saw '23 minutes'. Made myself warm and comfy in bed, all ready for 23 minutes of pure enjoyment. Thank you!
Hey Petko, I've been watching since less than 2K, it's amazing to see someone's channel grow like this!!!
We missed you petko xD
Love your diverse collection! Especially your Ts!
Are there any plans to get any snakes also?
Paul Axel snakes are the best animal
No! Everybody should know this! The best animal is a potato!
Bruh snakes are less maintenance than a potato

I never new dwarf hamsters were carnivores..so I learned something new in this video😎👍🏼💯
I had 2 Chinese dwarf hamsters nd I never knew they can eat bugs!
They are still rodent but you didn’t know they eat bugs…. It’s kind of just common sense 😂 I’m pretty sure theirs no kibble in the wild…
I look forward to every new video you post. Keep up the great content!!!

Awesome vid! I always envy your collection and find myself tempted to spontaneously buy half of TSS! Also, does that Cresty need fattening up a bit? He looked a tad thin to me (but I've never kept Crested Geckos before).
Damn was about to send a elephant
:'D
What a great video! Hamster is so so cute!!! What a fierce little Hunter!
Hello dark den im scared of spiders but love your videos!
Have you ever thought about buying a peacock spider? They look awesome!!
I don't think he can because live animal export is illegal, but it would be cool if he could have one 👍👍
(Peacock spiders are native to Australia)
They are endangered also, it's illegal to take them out of the country
I think its a bit different to hold jumping spiders because they need so much space too jump around and they are so small...
@@ganjalfdergrune4279 they actually don't mind not having a lot of space. They really don't mind being handled either :)

The long wait is over!! Thank you petko for the best feeding vids;)
