@@anunachoirI don't think I could have gotten through it. My other half got me a CD which I think was called 2002? And I'd get to Selley Gardens and I fall asleep having cried in pain. As a musician and musicteacher after 40 years I have to say that this song, the harmonising and the perfektionism of pitching the tones with grace and beauty is maybe the best I’ve ever heard🙏🌟🌺! The great talent of Lynn is incredible and McGlynn is an outstanding genius of this genre👍🙋♂️(Said from a former studiomusician from Sweden🇸🇪)
@@anunachoir Ahh I see. We have a lot of good singing groups up here in the north. I think that most of adults in Sweden are singing in some form of groups/choir, everything from barbershop singing to bigger choirs. THANKS for your reply and of course I’m a subscriber of your wonderful channel👍🌟🙏
Civilized music for an uncivilized time. This is absolutely heavenly and refined...which goes a long way towards explaining why you can't find it on the radio. :-/
Two things, 1: This is one of my favorite songs, and what I like of this one is the peaceful theme, and the dissonance that resolves to beautiful harmonies. To me the singers sound like angels. GREAT JOB!! I would like to hear more songs like this later please! 2: I like how you answer regularly to comments. Thanks and keep it up.
Gosh How I love hearing Anuna sing. Beautiful bell like tones and no dreaded auto-tune like another so called 'Celtic' group I know. Lovley lyrics and harmonies. Going to sing Winter Fire and Snow tonight at a music party where we are all bringing our party pieces. Listening to lots of Anuna to inspire me and help quell the shakes.
A pale bird flies over open sea Singing sweet soul music to me The ancient winds crying cold and flying free Carry winter whispers through the trees A soft voice murmers a haunting melody As it flows to the river from a stream The gentle breeze carries youthful memory Through the shaded valley of my dreams I have come through the darkness Touched the moon's new fallen dew I have found there a place Where the wild song echoes, echoes in my heart There the dawn is wide with the scent of spring With a red sun burning on the tide In the hazel forest the blackbird sings Of a secret place I keep inside I have travelled far, I have made the road my home But that music never will depart I have walked the shoreline where seabirds cry alone But a wild song echoes in my heart I have come through the darkness Touched the moon's new fallen dew I have found there a place Where the wild song echoes, echoes in my heart Where the wild song echoes, echoes in my heart
I have come through the darkness...Touched the moon's new fallen dew. This is what you expect to hear once the road of your life ends... If there´s a heaven beyond, Anúna bring us a sneak peak of it...
I think there's freshness to this recording that makes it sublime! I didn't notice a 'glitch' at all. The make-ups a bit heavy but I'm not listening to that, lol!! Wonderful! I can't stop listening to it!!!
Whow. The ancestors of music understood the caresses of Love & music so much better then the screaming vocals & instrumentalists of today. Give me the glass like quality of these vocals any-day over the noise belters.
I don't find anything wrong with this at all. So what, about flaws? IT's beautiful to me....I play it often and have shared it. Let's not be critics always...just musicians and music lovers. I always hated contests.
where was this filmed? the place is fantastic and so magic!! (I can imagine faerie folk standing beside the singers!!) Which is the female singer's name? :)
Personally, I am still deciding whether I like the solo part split between two singers. I love the part where there is a male/female duo as it really adds a dimension to the song... Vocally I feel the 'attack' on the note at 0.34 is a bit dodgy but other than that I love the sound (overall). Nevertheless a hauntingly beautiful piece!
Goddammit, I want to live in Ireland. I know that this isn't what "real Ireland" is like, but just the fact that they can dress it up this beautifully makes me yearn to live and die there.
Such a small "blemish" at the 2:32 mark, (very curious as to what that is,) but very forgivable, as overall this is indeed a haunting piece. As always, the composition and arrangement for voices, et al, is superb. I love the video work and the web in the breeze is just the perfect touch.
Something in the audio, sounds like the soloist may have jumped an entrance early but caught herself. Something so minor that when I played this for my wife (without mentioning it) she didn't pick-up on it. I am a singer and choral director so I tend to notice "details." Thanks for responding and not taking offense. As always, I love Anuna and the composer's compositions.
Vim pela abe, que canção linda♥️😣 amo músicas assimmm
Abe sabe o fala .q Que coisa linda essa música❤️
My wife has passed. This music helps my troubled heart and soul.
+Christopher Sharp terribly sorry to hear that Christopher.
Me too, and amen to that. 🤲
I lost my husband. This--this is the music that plays in the place where I go to meet him in my dreams.

There are no words for such beauty in vocals, setting, and pictures. ❤
2:30 I just died and went to heaven! The vocal harmonization is beyond this world.
This is how the fairy people sing. Thank you for sharing this beauty, and keep up the good work. Warm greetings from Spain!
Simplemente, maravilloso.
One of many Anuna songs that got me through a 3 month hospital stay. Would fall asleep to it....calming and the best medication.
Best thing you could tell us Lesley.

You are very kind Stefan. The piece was written for Rajaton from Finland so it is Nordic in intent.

So accurate now in 2020
Lynn!!! Wow!! I didn't know she was with this group too!!! I love her voice in both this and when she was with Celtic Woman!!!!! :)
I just love their music; it’s so beautiful and, at times, haunting.
Oh, my! Once again, this is sweeping me away into a realm of unspeakable beauty. Thank you!!

WOWZERZ!!!! Great voices. The lead has the voice and face of an angel...

Everything they do is magical.
All that is best about Irish music!

Nice comment and I would recommend you listen to Anuna's 'Inishfree', a beautiful rendition of the poem by W.B. Yeats.
I listen to this almost every day.
ive not heard this group before.
impressed !

Wicklow Mountains, Ireland? The lead singer is Lynn Hilary (former Celtic Woman singer)
Beautiful.. :'3 I am speechless!

wow this has a similar sound to the vocalists for Riverdance
That's because the vocals on Riverdance were written for this group.
@@anunachoir I KNEW IT!! I recognized those vocals anywhere
Anuna/Michael McGlynn: Is this stunning area of the Wicklow Mountains only accessible by hiring a car? Or is it close to a nearby town?
+Henry K Car - lots of hills. Its usually too wet and cold to get out of the car, so maybe this is the best way to look at it in the end.
+ANÚNA I'm one of the few Californians that actually enjoys cold air and wet weather....as I don't do very well in warm climates.
Henry K It looks like Lough Dan to me. It is easily accessible by car via Newtownmountkennedy (longest Irish town name I think)
Has this been used on a film soundtrack or end credits or am I imagining that? I googled it but didn't come up with anything.
