This isn't a trip down memory lane because I never stopped listening to these songs. Dance and Techno were my jam in the early 90s.
Kevin's beatboxing is supernatural, his beat in C & C music factory is absolutely insane, it sounds like 3 drummers at once.

I keep rewatching this because Maggie's excitement is so contagious.
I love this medley as well. I was in my 40's when I heard this music. I love all decades. Not to boast but I will turn 70 next month and I am still a countertenor. Guess, my voice never changed at puberty. lol

As for Pentatonix, since I first discovered them a few months ago I'm always amazed at how they never cease to amaze me, lol!🤯😊 It seems that there just isn't anything they can't do/sing if they want to.. and as people go~ no, I don't know them personally, of course, but from all I've seen & read, they just seem like they're very genuine, kind-hearted, good people.😉💖

I will be 66 in August, and I am the opposite of you. My voice entered the baritone range at 11, and it just got deeper from there. I can comfortably do the "Oompapa oompapa mau mau" in Elvira. I can also rise up to a moderate deeper tenor, say Mitch, at the bottom end of his register.
I was a cocktail barman in a nightclub in Essex, UK, in the 90's and this brings back so many memories.
Every time Maggie pauses because she's so excited about the song they just sang, all I can think is "just wait, it gets better!"
Look at us, losing our collective minds over how cool all this music is.
Even though these songs are 30 years ago, all these songs are timeless. :)

Kevin does do all those sounds live. Along with the others providing some sounds to. The bass, I forget his name, adds effects too. His bass is so good that it makes the effects sound fuller. When he's not doing bass stuff Scott does fills since he was originally the bass for their trio.

PTX is my happy place and your reactions make me even happier. Thanks for sharing them. Please consider doing a segment on their cover of Kiiara’s Gold. The original is a strange song, but their cover shows us the beauty hidden within. Mitch is featured throughout, but each performer is, as usual, essential and impeccable. Going on a binge of all of your reactions to acapella music. PTX brought me to you and I just subbed because you remind me so much of Hailee Steinfeld's character from Pitch Perfect 2. When I was in middle school, when “Blue” came out, I thought it sounded like, “I’m blue and I believe I’m a guy; if I was green I would die.” Lol.

Cece Peniston’s song Finally was one of the hardest club bangers during the early nineties. I’ve experienced it live in the clubs and glad I did (dating myself, I don’t care)
I know I’m late to respond to this but I just watched again. I’d forgotten how much she went on about not knowing the song Finally. I’m a kid from the 70’s and I remember Finally being a huge song after my high school days. It was one of my favorites and extremely popular back then.
