Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian, public speaker, and writer out of Houston. Ali’s unique style of stand-up began behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories.
People received their first taste of Ali Siddiq when he appeared on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and LIVE FROM GOTHAM, and in 2013 he was named Comedy Central's "#1 Comic to Watch". In 2014, Ali impressed comedy enthusiasts by displaying his ability to captivate an audience with his "Mexicans Got On Boots" tale, descriptive storytelling, with over 15 million views, of a prison riot on THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, the first of three appearances. His stories continued with his HALF HOUR special, which premiered on Comedy Central in the fall of 2016. Immediately following the premiere of that special, Comedy Central offered Ali an hour-special where he performed for inmates live in a Texas jail, sending Ali back to where it all started. The hour special, Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars, premiered in February 2018 on Comedy Central. In 2019, Ali could be seen as a Top 5 finalist on NBC’s BRING THE FUNNY. Most recently, Ali could be seen as a guest on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE.

The loss of a sibling is earth shattering. My older brother, my only brother died from brain cancer and it broke me. You don’t realize how much of your identity is wrapped into being someone’s sibling.

Hearing your story, in a way it's not just your story, It's a lot of people's story. This is the story of everyday Americans. The struggle is real, the desperation real, the love, the joy, the hurt it's all real. I appreciate that honesty. This is why whenever I hear someone from the older generations talk about how much safer it was back then I cut them off. We had wars and anyone that hadn't grown up with a silver spoon in their mouth were drafted. People suffered and struggled back then just as much as they do now. Those that say otherwise have just been blind to the suffering of others. It's narcissistic, ignorant, and naive. Please keep telling your story. Let them know what the world is really like outside of their bubble.

Baybeeee, the way you relived that like it was yesterday, your ability to process that in front of SO many people, many can't do that with even 1 on 1 with a therapist. You broke my heart. And the feelings/grief are/is so real that your whole face changed; like you were a different person, and on some level, you were...Every time you tell that story I'm sure Ashley smiles knowing just how much you love her. I'm glad you were there to have your own moment, so you didn't have to endure the trauma of watching it. Thank you for sharing your story. I'll use it in my session with my age-appropriate kiddos. Grief never dies but it eventually will get to a point where you can talk about it. The pain is still there, but you can process, acknowledge, and move on to another subject. Blessings brother, and thank you for spreading joy. Off to watch the whole special now! ;)

This is why you're my favourite comedian right now. You share your experiences honestly. I admire how you include raw, human emotion in your stories. Makes us feel like we're right there with you and reminds us that life isn't all chuckles. We should talk about the things that hurt us. While most comedians would never share their wounds with total strangers, you remain fearless in telling your truth. And in doing so, a sense of shared humanity is felt by all of us. Thank you for sharing this part of you with us. It can't have been easy reliving this awful moment onstage. I feel this new special is a Masterpiece and I remain in awe of your talent.

I still cry sometimes but I’m getting through it and I’m celebrating my daddy, the worlds greatest dad. A comedian is a story teller and the way they express them selves in laughter is a ART

When ali said hes a "MONSTER", that hit hard for me. 1 year ago today i lost my older sister to some bullshit cancer. 1 year later and that "MONSTER" feerling never goes away, you just learn to keep him leashed.
Prayers to ali and anyone else thats lost a sibling.

I’m crying for you my brother, because I’m the youngest of 5 siblings, I’m 64, I’m the only one to make it past 49. My brother, the 2nd oldest and my twin sisters passed away before I was born(my brother accidentally and my sisters with an illness. My oldest brother was a month away from turning 18, when I was born, and he was murdered 30 later. I didn’t understand growing up, why I thought my mom was so protective of me, because she hid her pain inside herself so well, that I didn’t even know about the fact I had twins sisters till I was 12 years old, when my aunts told me. I couldn’t even imagine the grief and pain as parents they felt. Not knowing the affects that my siblings would have had on my life. My brother was my best friend and my hero growing up, so losing your sister at 8, I pray for you, one love ❤️

I lost my baby brother too. He was only 18. I felt Ali's emotions in my soul. I've been there, you never really completely come back from this type of loss.

This broke my heart. Ali I am so sorry for your loss. I never seen a comedian so transparent with his audience.

I occasionally come back to this special and this part ALWAYS gets me. Tears every time. I don’t have a little sister but I have niece who is like a lil sis. And this part always makes me wanna call her and tell her I love her ❤😢

I've watched all 4 parts of the domino effect in one day. I've never seen anything like it. It's a rollercoaster of emotions. This part was, for lack of a better word, the highlight for me, because it's shows a man who is willing so let his emotions show and let's you share these emotions. My hat's off to you, Sir!

I'm so sorry honey, I pray that God is helping you heal the hurt. We feel your loss, and we didn't even know that little blessing to the world named Ashley 💕 May she be in God's memory ,and grace . This is why you're so loved . Ali is honest ,transparent and real . a very hard thing to do especially in our community in general.
