I recently attended the UCI five-day vendor fair for the first time with my crochet and stationery items! I learned so much about my products, and how people interact with my booth which I'm excited to account for in my next event. In this video, I walk through events that happened each day of the market, my total sales, and what I sold :).

i think mass producing a free pattern thats not yours is illegal..
Did you happen to ask the pattern creator permission? If so that’s amazing of her to allow you to do that! If not, it’s not right to mass produce something that’s meant to be handmade IMO.

I originally thought that this video was so cute, however you thought to manufacture someone else’s design. As an artist this is heartbreaking and in another video you comment on how you wouldn’t share the manufacturers you use because it’s like letting someone copy off your homework. That’s just wild. You should not manufacture this product even if somehow she does give you permission now. And be mindful in the future because you could be sued. I hope you learn from this mistake and create your own designs.
Thank you for your comment. After posting the video I understand the severity of the situation and will not move forward in selling them. I never meant to cause harm to the original creator and have definitely learned a HUGE lesson! I appreciate you pointing this out to me as well, because it is ironic how I said that now that I am thinking about it more. It made me see it from a different perspective of what the pattern creator must feel! Thank you for not being rude in the comment and giving the constructive criticism 🩵

Hello! love your booth layout and so happy that the duck was selling great for you! But you don’t clarify if the creator of the duck pattern was aware of or ok with you mass producing their pattern. As a crochet artist it is super important that you check with the artist first before doing something like this. Patterns take so much time and creativity even for something small like the duck. Yes they may take up a lot of time to make so many by hand but that is where the true value of making something by hand is. Its in the time and effort it takes to create them. Anyways I really do hope you reached out to the creator. Keep up the hard work!! Much love!! ❤

You can get sand/gravel at home depot or other stores like that. Those bags tear so fast because of the weight. We've bought buckets for our next event and will strap them down with cords.
buckets are a good idea! I ended up returning the bags…😅. I’ve also seen people use bricks and tie them down!

get a sumup! They take everything (now also have tap top pay) and register all items sold. And it was only $19
I ended up getting sand from Lowe’s & 1000% recommend lol. I had the little circle weights and they’re never enough 😩.
Also if you have square (I’m only 4 mins in the video so far & wanted to comment before I forgot lol), you can put all your items in and track what you sell that way. I even use it to track my cash sales so I can look back at the end and see what items sold best, how much was cash, etc :)
idk why I didn’t even think about buying sand LOL! I have Shopify, and I know they have their own system, but for some reason it wasn’t clicking with me😅

Yes! I had them at $35 but then raised them by $5. Once my duck plushies come in I might even raise the price a little more😅😅
