So... I can only do Teaser from legs long on mat start point. Does this mean I am relying on hip flexors? I can't Roll Up either (never have been able to) and I attribute that to biomechanics: I have long, skinny legs and light hips and bulky short torso... Rolling Over is easy for me... Any thoughts from fellow instructors??
Hi Tessa, thank you so much for your comment! Ideally, an fellow Instructor would access you to see exactly how you are moving but these are general areas that you could work to master the Teaser on the Mat: 1) Abdominal strength 2) Spinal Mobilization 3) If your biggest challenge is to maintain the V shape, you can practice it with the knees flexed 4) Practicing it on the Cadillac can also be very helpful, since the springs can help you control the movement We hope this helps. :)
The teaser tutorial is very helpful. I look forward to watching more cueing for other exercises.
We're glad to hear that!
