    MOV is for absorbing sudden spikes in voltage, it should be connected in parallel with the supply, AFTER the fuse! So that when it flashes the fuse will burn out.

    Mov diac की तरह का बरताव करता है। अंतर सिर्फ इतना होता है कि diac पैरलल लगा होने पर fuse के खराब होने से पहले शॉर्ट हो जाता है।जबकि MOV में फ्यूज पहले खराब होता है और MOV सुरक्षित रहता है। यदि फ्यूज नही होगा तो खुद शॉर्ट हो कर सुरक्षा प्रदान करता है।

    Mov से पहले fuse लगा हो तो MOV खराब नही होता।पुराने जमाने के हरा रंग के BPL फ़ोन में पाया है कि पीसीबी जल गया लेकिन MOV खराब नही हुआ।
