Now I've ridden Steel Vengeance and it's amazing, but I'm always going to have a soft spot in my heart for this old girl. (Also, I love that one of SV's slogans is "a mean streak lies beneath.")

It's so nice to see how Henry really had a true bond with the ride, even since it opened in 1991. I mean to ride it for over 25 years is impressive, and I can see why he'll miss it so much. I mean it's still a classic wood coaster, and to be able to ride it many times in the span of 25 years, you're gonna have a special relationship with it for the rest of your life.
Today we pay respects to our fallen hero Mean Streak. Even the trims on this ride could not stop it from hauling. Then a madman named Allen Shike decimated the once beloved structure. RIP.
his bones must be made of steel. but for real, mean streak isn't the worst. it's more bumpy than flat out rough and the layout is seriously ruined by the breaks on the first drop.
This ride is shit, It's not bumpy, bumpy is Blue Streak or Racer and Kings Island or Hurler at Carowinds (I know I'm gonna get killed for that one) Rough is Le Monstre at La Ronde or Mean Streak or White Canyon at Yomiuriland

I never personally liked Mean Streak but I honestly didn’t have that big of an issue with it. It was rough but more of a bumpy-rough, sort of in between rough and bumpy, something similar to The Beast but a little worse. But like I said, I’ve ridden some coasters that are far, far worse. Son of Beast, White Canyon, Rattler, Wildcat...and another Wildcat.

@Bleed Orange I rode it, I hated it, classics are forgiven but when it's a packed day and Mean Streak still has no line, that must mean something. Now Steel Vengeance still gets 2 hour lines and the area it's in is booming with popularity.

I don't know how he done it. My wife and I went on it back in 2008. That ride was so rough, it literally felt like my brain kept hitting the back of my skull. Had such an headache when we were done.

Basically, from what I can tell on Reddit, he rides the other rollercoasters now because Steel Vengeance is painful for his legs. After all, almost everybody loves Millennium Force.
I'm one of those that thought Mean Streak wasn't that bad. Now if you want pain, ride the Rugaro (formally Mantis). Never thought a Steel coaster could be so rough.

This was my 3rd favorite coaster when I went, behind Magnum and Millennium force. Maverick was not finished being built when I last went back in 2006.
Mean streak is technically still there but it has a new layout and a new name. It's now called steel vengeance
That launch is just a much better experience than the lift hill walk on top thrill
