      How do you know he's a decent professional policeman? All the man did was make a statement and answer a few questions. He's probably not even the investigating officer in charge of the docket. He looks more like the local station brigadier, it's management, but it's nothing special.
      This is how we end up appointing corrupt officials, because after a few grammatically correct sentences we're ready to give the awards and leadership positions.

      My guess is they won't do much from here. They'll present the docket to the prosecution as it is and risk an acquittal. The longer it takes to reach trial the more evidence is likely to be lost. The SAPS is famous for selling physical evidence (guns) when the case is taking longer.

    I HAVE YET TO SEE OR HEAR SOUTH AFRICAN AUTHORITIES DOING ANY DETECTING WORK ,INVESTIGATE , ARREST AND PROSECUTE SUCCESSFULLY ANY ONE IN SOUTH AFRICA WITHOUT AN INFORMANT, A WHISTLEBLOWER AND SO ON.

    • @mahlatse1787
      @mahlatse1787 Год назад +1

      What's that supposed to mean? Informants are an important tool in any police investigation, without them most investigations go cold same day of the crime. They keep people talking, eventually necessary in for reaches the rights ears.
      Without informants police will have no leads. Real life is not like in the movies where the detective looks at a bullet casing and knows who exactly did the crime.
      In real life you collect physical evidence from the scene and wait for informants to give you leads on suspects, hopefully you'll be able to match physical evidence from the scene and that found on the suspect or his property. Informants are able to go where police may not be able to go and start conversations that a police officer would easily be detected if they were to ask.
      That's how you build a solid case. There's no magic that police officers in other countries use.
      Every police officer should be required to have at least two informants. A police officer without informants is useless.

      That’s pretty much everywhere in the world bud ha like 80% or higher of the convictions here in America come from people telling on people. And then there’s a percentage of dirty police work. So…numbers ain’t great here either ha . Tough job

      @@mahlatse1787 you're right. I'm not South African, but I've noticed that South Africans are too negative about their police officers, even those who evidently don't understand how crime investigations work.
      You jump into it following the inputs of 'couch investigators' and you'll lose it all in court even if you've arrested the right suspect(s).

      Don't share your ignorance with us. Bail doesn't they won't be prosecuted. Police investigations usually take time, may go as long as five years. Do you expect people who haven't been convicted of crimes to be kept in prison for that long? Bail makes sure that they'll avail themselves for prosecution when the time comes.
