You bet! Great time was had by all.....We used the day to ask as many people as we could about the fault with the Scot as Paul was there as well, that helped a lot.....Always a good day out,one year we will go for the whole weekend........Best wishes Chris
There was some fantastic loco's in steam and on display.Big bonus for me was having a ride behind a Scot just like mine and comparing the two.Always a good day out, next year we will have our Scot there,I cannot wait.........Best wishes Chris.
It's an incredible set up they've got there Chris, good to see Paul there and hope that after speaking to so many experts, that the issues regarding your Scot will be resolved soon....Best wishes...Bob
We hope so Bob,problem is everybody has a different idea of what the problem is.But at least we had the other Scot to ride behind and listen too,it did sound like my loco but a lot quieter,on one of the shots I asked him to give it some but you cannot hear it that well due to the rail noise........Regards Chris.
Superb Chris, Never seen so many locos in one place in those scales All lovely ! The track is also fantastic , thanks for posting keep em coming ! regards Graham
Always a good turn out for this weekend Graham. It amazing every year we get so many new or different class loco's attending from all over GB...One year we will go for the whole weekend that would be good.......Best wishes Chris
Great coverage of this event Chris and glad you managed to give the Scot a run although you are looking much younger than I recall lol. Sorry we were unable to see you but another friend of ours was there and admired your loco so have sent him the link. All the best to you & Rosie, Brian.
Hi Brian. That is not my Scot but she looks very much like the shiny one.I was riding behind her to listen to the exhaust note and sound,it is a lot like mine but mine makes a roar as though steam is going by the rings, but they have been done so it is not that.We wouldn't bring our while it was playing up it could have damaged something........Hope you are enjoying your holiday?......Best wishes Chris
Oh, sorry Chris, just an assumption on my part...... should have realised when I never saw Rosie in the saddle!! Hope you get those issues resolved OK. We only had four days mate, got back last Thursday but it was much needed & enjoyable although we don't miss the caravan now, might have restricted us with Bala & Llangollen en route. I'll be in touch, take care, Brian.
That was one of the reasons we went Dave,so many good engineers all willing to help me out. Also having two more Scots there was a bonus although only one ran on the day.We will get it right,it just takes time going through all the possibilities.....Regards Chris.
They did look nice unfortunately one broke a boiler tube, you can see it go on the video,as the Flying Scotsman was leaving the turntable you can see the steam blast out of it's chimney....A sad end to his weekend.......Best regards Chris
Thank you Alex.Must be a very rare model in 7 1/4.that's the first time I have seen it at this gathering.I get about a bit and that was a first sighting for me...Lovely model! ..I will ask around to try and get some more info for you....Regards Chris
Some more info Alex...We believe the 8f is a Great Cockcrow loco,it is the only one that we know of built.Although another is being built in South Wales. The loco was built by doubling up the Martin Evans 3 1/2" plans. Also I have been told from Pete Lawson that a guy named Mathews has done a set of drawings for one,he has no more info at the moment...Watch this space lol!....Hope that helps....Have you loco's Alex?...Regards Chris.
@@wooltman thanks very much for that info I shall keep an eye for more info! Yes we have a 5 inch simplex and I am building a 5 inch standard 4 tank which may take some time inbertween working on my classic mini and voluntary work at the severn valley railway
