Today i took out a car that many enthusiasts rave about, a Focus RS. This Tuned Focus RS is an absolute monster in a straight line, but where it really get crazy is in the corners. With AWD, and a rear bias setup, this Tuned Focus RS will take you through a corner with an amount of finesse that you couldn't even put into words. Well, i did put it into words, kind of. I had an absolute blast driving this Tuned Focus RS, and i now understand why everybody loves these cars. Not that i ever doubted it was good or anything, but i finally got to see for myself. I said same thing, I have owned many “sports cars” that feel like a base model that was altered to make more power. Examples include;
Msp3 third gen, Ralliart
Mustang
Subaru wrx sti(worst one)
Mazda speed 3 2010 2nd gen
Ford focus rs
This car focus RS is by far the fastest smoothest hatch I’ve ever seeen
It’s like they took race car n dummed it down so we can enjoy a race car that also somewhat practical for daily.
I at first said even if I had 150000 to spend I’d get a ford focus rs.
But IFind myself looking at other cars still.
I have a 100% stock 2018 Focus RS which I drive infrequently. I drove my RS last night and forgot how fast it is. I gave it a little too much gas while turning and almost went into on coming traffic, lucky for me I reeled it in real quickly.
You need to tune it. Trust me..
Traded my ST last week for an RS last week. When I tested launch control for the first time that’s what sold me.

Great video! Nice to see you get super excited about driving this great car. I've owned my RS for over 4 years now. Still makes me happy every time I drive it. Mountune power mods and ST Suspension coil-overs really put this car over-the-top!

Love this video, griffin understands all of the the great things about the RS, refreshing really, there's been so many haters in my rear view mirror, hitting fourth hard from third and shit gets fast quick.

Such an interesting car. Basically outpriced its target market and was abused by dealerships resulting in a short sales life. Used market is definitely something to watch. Very nice mods as well, owner didn't pinch pennies. Great to see.
what do you mean abused by dealerships, not sure what you mean by that. but yea he has some nice mods on it!
@@GriffinBlanchard dealerships were marking up the MSRP out of the price range of many buyers. Nobody was allowed to test drive it either. Really a shame! Ford looked at sales and decided not to continue.

The torque vectoring on the ST is different to that of the RS, the ST does indeed have torque brake vectoring, but does nothing with the lost power, however the RS has full torque vectoring and will shift power to one rear wheel if needed

I just bought this exact car back in December from Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad.
Had mine from new in Aug 17, have modded the shit outta it and it is a monster in a straight line but absolutely off it’s face in the corners
Been debating on trading in my Focus ST for one. Best part most of my mods I have now I can just swap over. Should save me some money on re buying the same mods.

Just got one for myself, all these pops sound just like my car, which has the stock tune. It’s meant to pop like crazy from the factory.

There is absolutely no way this is 450bhp with that little mods and no e30. 370 max. I’m at a complete stage 3 and making 470 on 93 so i highly doubt this is at 450.

What's the deal baby!?!? Hey dude, I gotta ask....how is the ride quality compared to your FiST? I feel like a lot of people knock it for that (and the turning radius), but I often wonder if they are just overexaggerating.
ayyy whats the deal! the ride quality was a bit rough. the fiesta is more forgiving for sure. I think the 19inch wheels on the rs is what make it rough like that, so maybe just a quick wheel swap would fix it. But that being said, it feels fitting for it to be as rough and rowdy as it is, i mean its an rs. lol thanks for the comment man!
Everything is forgotten when you get in it in the morning and start it up.

I wanted to trade my 2016 ST in for an RS a few years back..but just couldnt justify the cost. For the cost of my FBO, big turbo set up..I'm still WAY cheaper than a stock RS and I'm quite a bit quicker. FWD doesnt bother me as I've proven on track and the back roads, AWD is cool but not necessary to be faster than others in corners if you're a good driver ^_^

stock turbo fiesta would absolutely not hang with this. hybrid or s280 would
