since I'm not new to emulation, I rather just download them one by one and play lol I played on linux steam os, so this amd z extreme should be just fine. but hey thanks for showing it! it's cool that they made it for the ally

How does the legion go compares to the steamdeck in terms of emulation and overall compatibility with games ? I assume it should be better since it runs on windows but i read that apparently the steamdeck is a better handheld for emulation mainly due to emudeck working better on it since the window version is still in beta 🤔 Also can you use a dock or a cable to connect the legion go to a screen or tv and play with a controller other than the legion go's joycons ?
Well the steam deck gets games certified for it. While the legion go or ally are just pure windows devices so just about any game will run but how well depends on your settings. As for emulation did say I haven’t had any issues but that’s just me. And yes you can dock them and use another Bluetooth controller if you would like.

The legion go. The big screen and higher resolution is great for gaming and watching content like RUclips. The built in kick stand is awesome as well, I use it very often. And I’ve come to actually like the detachable controllers, I 3D printed a holder and makes it more comfortable. Plus Lenovo is true to keeping the legion go going with all the support they put into it.
Aloha and great video exactly what I was looking for. Q? I downloaded however it keeps showing update the 3.0 and have to manually do it? I have been working on this for 3 days. I have i installed it and lost all my roms and bios. Would you kindly help?

Soooo I downloaded emudeck, but inside my emulation folder I do not have a bios tab…. Should I just create one? All I have is tools.
I would actually try uninstalling and reinstalling it. It should have a couple folders if I remember right.
Having an issue with Xenia in emudeck on Rog ally. It quits the game with some sort of graphics related error. Graphics device lost due to internal error. Any idea why this is happening?
I would make sure your graphics drivers are updated, and windows too. Maybe google the game and the issue you are having. I’m sure you are the first to have this issue. But I have not run into something like that.
Pls answer me i have lenovo legion go when i in install the emudeck it all right except when i arrive to collecting drives name the drives doesnt appear at all and the app couldnt read my drives what i should do 😢😢
It doesn’t show any drives? Not even an SD card? Sounds like a hardware issue. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling
12:06 what did you do? did you right click on the psx? im not sure how to save that into the folder.
Yes just copy and paste the roms into the folders.

You have to find the emulation folder Emudeck made, that’s where you’ll find all those folders for each emulator. That’s where you’ll save the roms for each different system.
Can I do this process with a MacBook? Or right on the Lenovo ?
Do it right on the legion go, I only was using the laptop to follow along.
I’m stuck on the initial step “installing EmuDeck WE dependencies”. I’ve tried clicking both yes and no to the dns prompt. Anyone else having this issue?
it might be opening another window you are not seeing, and or once its done I believe you close the prompt and its continues
Hey my emudeck doesn’t install steam rom manager I’m deleting the emudeck folder and emulation and gonna try it again, any solutions to this problem
You might have to make sure everything is updated. I also believe you have to navigate to Emudeck and find the steam rom manager and manually install it, it lets you choose what rom manager you want.

So I use emustation instead of steam rom manager. So follow the steam rom manager instead
@@EdsTechTalk94 I ended up just restarting my whole legion and added everything again even got the yuzu build its floating but steam rom ain’t working so ima just add non game from steam and add those emulators cause it needs steam to configure so I’ll deal with that instead thank you
Give EmuStation a try. I like it a lot better for managing my roms. But it’s all personal preference!
Can I have my emulators on an sd card or only roms
You would just have to install everything to the SD card, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

What are you trying to play? Some of the emulators need a bios like a mentioned.
I’m stuck at “collecting drives names” when i press close it directs me to “select you rom directory” but i can’t select anything
I do not have any rom or emulator download yet.
@@JonasVerlinden-dc2blit’s asking where you want it to download the files you need for the ROM directory. You can make a random folder called Emulation. You haven’t gotten to downloading the emulators yet. Thats like the last thing it does.
Now if I could just find a place to find some switch roms.

I honestly don’t know. Maybe when they work out the bugs or never since it’s native Linux. But I wouldn’t let a beta hold you back!
@@EdsTechTalk94 How do Emudeck Updates work? Do you need to redownload and reinstall it or can you just do it within the system settings?
Emudeck updates itself once you launch it, it also has a section to update the emulators themselves too.

When i download a ps2 rom it shows it as a zip file. I added that to the ps2 folder but nothing pops up. I need a lot of help.
You need to extract the zip file first. That’s not apart of the tutorial as that’s more of PC sided knowledge. Plus I can’t encourage piracy as a content creator. But I’m sure you can google how to get them 😏

idk what it is i installed a rom but cant get the controllers to work properly, its uing right trigger as fast forward cant use abxy buttons properly either... feel like such a bot lmao
Sounds like you have the wrong controller configuration. Also when setting up the device did you click the correct device you are using?
@@EdsTechTalk94 yes I chose the right device, im about to try reinstaling it, when i launched a gb game it would say controller configuration not working, going to fallback which displays xbox360 controller,
Could be steam inputs messing it up. I know it gave me problems playing Xbox pass games before.
How much vram and watts do you need for emulation
Oh I have no idea. I’m sure it varies between emulators and other aspects.
On the emulation folder theres no folder for the bios for pcsx2
If you have a bios folder but folder for pcsx2 then I would just make one and add the bios to that folder.
I have no idea where to find rom. I think i have everything, but no games. or roms.
Just Google what game you want and you’ll find something.

Yes as long as it’s Bluetooth
How you change from easy mode
If you already installed everything just go to the emulator you want to change and then you can change whatever settings you want.
Change to custom mode
Is there a way to install it without a laptop?
Yes, you just do everything on your handheld. I believe I said I’m just doing it on my laptop for recording purposes.

It does take a few minutes to install. Make sure one of the two pop ups didn’t happen as I mentioned in the video.

Emustation opens then immediately closes
I would try and make sure it’s fully updated. And if all else fails try to uninstall and reinstall. Or you might not have a rom/games in the right folder so it’s just closing.
dude, when you upload a video make sure it is audible enough to be understood, my volume is cranked up to 60 and I can't barely hear you
You’re the first to mention this in any video, and I just recently started using compressors in newer videos to help with audio. I’m not a loud person in general, but I will keep this in mind for future videos!
Just a side note, I do record most of my videos at night after I put my daughter to bed so I do have to keep my voice down a bit. I plan on adding some soundproofing to help with this issue. Video hopefully soon on that 😏

Something is wrong with your speakers I can hear perfectly fine.
Yeah volume and voice is good.i would back off the compression a bit. Only let it 3-5 db gain reduction and dont record with it only in post. Hope this helps!

Yuzu requires a file to operate, I can’t remember what it is called. It’s basically the core file of a switch in order for any game to run on it. Also sometimes they require an update.

The “prod key” I believe is what it’s called. Also the game should be either nsp or xci to run.
