Another thing guys with long hair might not know is that you should only comb your hair with natural materials such as boar bristle brush, wood, horn, or even acetate combs. Synthetic materials harm the hair by causing static and having harsh edges that will tear the hair.
I would love to see The Longhairs make their own wooden combs. Many wooden combs look too feminine and not manly at all. Wood is a natural material that does not cause static and it helps spread the oils in your long hair. It's also a great detangler!
Horribad Gamer ...the Wet Brush, brush works great. After watching the Longhairs Wet Brush video I bought one... Not saying all natural may be the better route though...
You didnt sell me on the hair ties or apparel.... but this i might have to try. Wood shop sounds like a good scent. Morning Wood would have been a better name... very masculine.
Jack Russo I, for example, have an oily scalp, but the ends still get pretty dry. It takes a lot to get the natural oils from the scalp to the ends (down by the sternum.)
Another great and informative video as always. I've been using the Biosilk silk therapy serum in my hair the last few months and have been pretty happy with it. Yours looks pretty sick too though so I may have to give that a shot even if it is quite a bit pricier.
Just ordered the citrus one since most of my other products end up smelling like that anyway! I'm counting on you guys! Once I get it I'll post a pic on instagram at my 4 year growth mark and give my honest opinion if anyone cares haha.
Thanks for the tip! I have very fine corn silk hair and washing it make it fly away once dry. This may well get rid of the frizzy fly away hair when I wash it every 3-4 days. P.S. Been letting my hair grow for 3 years 3/8 buzz cut to middle of shoulder blades now.
El Rubio! Thanks for the tips about hair oils. I've been growing out my hair for going on two years now, planning on ordering some of your hair ties soon! Quick question -- Do you iron your hair to maintain the straightness? Or is your straight hair natural?
El Rubio! Hair looking great as always. Got a question for you. I have the far opposite of your hair, crazy curly, and I don't want to destroy the lushness of them by brushing it through. How should I apply the oils? Right now I do it after a shower by finger brushing and scrunching it in only.
+The Longhairs i think it would look breathtaking. i could actually try to dye your hair with photoshop speaking of which: any input regarding dying hair without any harm? i actually heard someone saying that honey could lighten hair a bit. would love to have some golden brown highlights once its a bit longer. too bad it'll take another 3-4 years to reach my hair growth goals considering my slow growth. anyways, Longhairs, keep it up - been following you ever since i started from 0 (went bald 2 years and 5 months ago) cheers
So I've been wondering my hair is so untamed and grows upwards rather than with gravity... Probably from that Castrol GTX Super Synthetic 10W-30... Oh, wait... That's when I started to go bald.
Awesome channel guys! Being new to this whole longhair thing, I am confused whether or not I should use conditioner and oils, or if oils is just a type of conditioner? I usually just use shampoo and straight after I use a conditioner, which I then wash out. But in this video, you're using it while your hair is dry? Do you do both (in bath and after)?
+Roflpopz Gaming yo!! Nah you would want to put this on outside the shower after you have washed. You can apply with damp or dry hair for a smooth and silky finish.
I've been using Jojoba oil for several years, and its one of the best discoveries I've ever made. Since discovering it, plus pretty much throwing away any shampoos with SLS (sodium laureth sulphate) has increased my terminal length. For about 15 years I could't grow my hair longer than about 35cm. Since using natural oils and doing away with the SLS shampoos, in favor of just conditioner on its own, or shampoo from health food store my terminal length has increased by nearly 10cm.
I use Silk Infusion by CHI. I know you guys are trying to sell your own product, but I hope you'll be honest - is this much different? How is it better/different? This sure is a ton more expensive 😁
Christian Taylor Compare the ingredients and search for any research to support hair actually absorbing nutrients by diffusion, and if any actually make a difference. Hair cannot actively absorb any materials because it is not alive.
Been growing my hair out for 5 yrs. Trimmed the bottom last year about 4 inches. It past my waistline and "chopped" 6 inches bc the bottom became too thin. I had alot of hair fallout from the roots after shampooing & conditioning... frustrating. Is that normal? I shampoo 1-2 times a week. My hair is your lengh now.
Should I rinse my hair with warm water or wash the coconut oil out with shampoo? I have extremely dry hair, its sometimes a pain in the ass to keep it moisturised.
Does breakage cause flyaways? if so i have a lot of breakage... I especially get a tone of flyways at where i part my hair and it gets a 1000 times worse when it's windy.
About a quarter size to each side of the hair. Also depends on much hair you have, you may need more or less. You can use it every day but best for when your hair is feeling a little dry or wild. Will hydrate and smooth the hair. It's fantastic.
My english Is not that good (i'm mexican) but i try to understand your instructions. Just a question, can i use argan oil every day even if i wash my hair every three or four days?
Been trying different oils from coconut to avocado as well as grapeseed oil. Grapeseed is light and has almost no smell. Avocado oil has a slight avocado smell but I like avocados so no big deal it is a bit heavier than grapeseed. Coconut oil has a really coconut smell but not overpowering and its heavier then the avocado. I have yet to get any of them to the perfect application. I like the way those store bought serums work and look but I do NOT want the silicone on my hair. I'm trying to get that look and control without the silicone but also not look too greasy. Needless to say I'm struggling a little. At 43 I've been growing my hair out for over a year and never had long hair before. Any advice anyone has would be appreciated. One of the benefits for growing out my hair is my 9yo daughter has basically the same head of hair I do and we've been struggling with how to keep it looking good for well 8 of her 9 years. So anything that helps me will help her as well.
I have about 2 and ha li f years of length n it has a fried look just at the last 3 inches in the back. But no split ends. It's like that part is having a hard time absorbing moisture n nutrients. I've been using Keratin treatments in the shower n then using food grade coconut oil just on those spots. I also did an argon treatment too. But it's getting better but still doesnt look as healthy as the mid to short sections.
I workout everyday and I need a shower after I workout. How do I avoid washing my hair in the shower? ...am I supposed to wash it with water? wash it with water and conditioner? shampoo, condition and wash? or wear a shower cap? and wash, shampoo and condition every 2 days or so? Please help Im confused
wilso44jt You can do as Braiden, or use a shower cap, but you can also wash with water and use conditioner if it was not previously greasy. If it is greasy you should use shampoo, but you can wash out sweat with water :)
Sometimes if the ends get very dry you may need a trim. My long hair got very weak at the ends after 2 years without a cut, and the hairdresser had to take off 4 inches. But it looks a lot better now. I'll get 2 inches cut off annually I reckon.
I don't understand: - Why not spread the oil from the roots all the way down? - Why start with a comb, and end with a brush, why not brush from the beginning?
the scalp produces sebum, wich is its own "oil",you feel it more when it hasn't been washed in days. Long hair tends to fall short of oil, being the tips the dryest. first moisture to the dryest parts, then even out until the roots
THATS IT
IM GROWING OUT MY HAIR
+Penner Winter YES!!
You still going bro?
Lewis yeah already 8inches
Go for it
DO YOUR BEST HOPE IT'S STILL GOING WELL💪
Bro when are we getting an official longhairs shampoo and conditioner?
well, how things have changed
Another thing guys with long hair might not know is that you should only comb your hair with natural materials such as boar bristle brush, wood, horn, or even acetate combs. Synthetic materials harm the hair by causing static and having harsh edges that will tear the hair.

Horribad Gamer Thanks for the tip. Never considered that.
William Parker That bush didn't work for me at all.
Horribad Gamer actually it will only tear the end causing split ends nothing a little trim cant solve
Found you love you , got hair had no clue about nothing your thanks keep it up
thanks for the tip bro 😎
Any time!
Got my package and my hair is natural wavy and waist length, been growing for three years.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil...Works great and I have grown accustomed to the smell. Just don't cheap out when buying a bottle.
My brother and I just got this and it is truly amazing, my hair is so smooth and healthy. Thanks so much Longhairs for this product
Thanks bro’s. Love your channel. I’ve learned a LOT here.
Fantastic
Where do I order this oil and hair ties? I have very long and thick hair
Great advice, but a bit SoCal-centric ;). Not all of us have year-round swimming weather
You didnt sell me on the hair ties or apparel.... but this i might have to try. Wood shop sounds like a good scent. Morning Wood would have been a better name... very masculine.
KingOfKings hahahaha
Haha nice name suggestion and would be stoked to get you on board.
How about Wood (Good) Morning?
i have terrible dry hair thatswhy I never tryed have long hair bought now Vollare coconut oil is it any good?
Great videos and information. I love my hair more than any woman.
Thanks!
This is true or false
Do you put this on your hair everyday or every now and then.
Boys, please grow your hair. As long as possible!
It's manly and beautiful in itself.
Not just that, but guys should enjoy it while it lasts... it’s an unfortunate fact that most men will experience hair loss at some point
@@masonf7332 yep my hairline is receding from 1 side
I have oily hair, you should only use this product if you have very dryed Out hair.
Jack Russo I always use oil while it's still damp after washing and then reapply after it's dry
Not necessarily "very dry". Think of it as vitamins for your hair.
Jack Russo I, for example, have an oily scalp, but the ends still get pretty dry. It takes a lot to get the natural oils from the scalp to the ends (down by the sternum.)
Love your Videos. You just amazing
Thanks

+Zeldafan355 give it a go man. You will not be disappointed.
El Rubio is looking like Jeff Hanneman now.\m/
Daniel Hernandez2 yes😉
Daniel Hernandez2 or the Guitar player from Sanctuary
Never thought about that, he kinda does though
Zach Wylde in his younger days as well, texture and color wise, it's in pristine condition!
never thought about that either, agree with that even more
I'm a 16 year old growing out hair and I use mustard oil before showering some times and use a hair tonic after shower.
Just ordered the citrus one since most of my other products end up smelling like that anyway! I'm counting on you guys! Once I get it I'll post a pic on instagram at my 4 year growth mark and give my honest opinion if anyone cares haha.
And what's your instagram :) I'm interested in seeing what you think of it :)
+iwannaquickscope hell yeah man we care. Would love to know your honest feedback.
Thomas Raes it's aafwl
This is the true meaning of “surfer dude”
I use a blend of canola, sunflower, and frankincense oils in my hair and beard. It doesn't leave it greasy.
I love your golden hair! :O
Hi. I'll love make a braid in this blond hair. .. 😀 so beautifull. Sorry my english. Kisses from Brazil
+Telma tranças braid it up!
i know how u feel 😍😉
Thanks for the tip! I have very fine corn silk hair and washing it make it fly away once dry. This may well get rid of the frizzy fly away hair when I wash it every 3-4 days.
P.S. Been letting my hair grow for 3 years 3/8 buzz cut to middle of shoulder blades now.
You have the best hair ever. I envy you! 🙂
I’m 4 years in! It’s not as easy as I thought 💭.
Great video man.
Wonderful video! Really love the informative side of your videos
Thanks man. Got to teach!
1:55 that much water made me Thirsty.
Also the faces in black and white were real bonuses
I love uuu
OMG! Thanks guys. No wonder my hair is taking so long to grow. Gonna visit that web site soon enough.
+TheAcarch2 sick!!
Hell yeah brother! Been waiting for these oils to drop!
+Ian Flürrance they've dropped hard!
Just to make sure - when I apply it to my hair, I leave it in for the remainder of the day?
+TheBeaconofHope yes sir
El Rubio! Thanks for the tips about hair oils. I've been growing out my hair for going on two years now, planning on ordering some of your hair ties soon!
Quick question -- Do you iron your hair to maintain the straightness? Or is your straight hair natural?
+Colson Bellmor yo yo! Never ironed man, it's straight as straight.
Citrus was sold out but Wood Shop is my second choice anyways. Excited!
Killer man let us know what you think.
You could be a jojo character with that hair
It will takes to me 12 months to go to get as long hairs as yours .. i am 18 months !!
El Rubio! Hair looking great as always. Got a question for you. I have the far opposite of your hair, crazy curly, and I don't want to destroy the lushness of them by brushing it through. How should I apply the oils? Right now I do it after a shower by finger brushing and scrunching it in only.
i consided your hair to be perfect, elRubio - if it was just black :D
it would be very interesting to see your crowning glory in a black color
+Илья Якушэн dude that would be nuts
+The Longhairs
i think it would look breathtaking. i could actually try to dye your hair with photoshop

anyways, Longhairs, keep it up - been following you ever since i started from 0 (went bald 2 years and 5 months ago)

What about Olive oil? Is it closer to argan or almond oil?
A fierce flow bro!
Thanks man!
Good cabinet space there bro
Lots of bowls
Any tips for keeping the oil away from your face so you don't have acne breakouts?
How long is your hair?
@@TheLonghairs past my shoulders
I use castor oil. I’m planning on supporting you guys after my bottle runs out but does castor oil have similar benefits to argon ?
