Excellent top 5. Iron Fortress is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the underground. That guy is beating the bushes and pulling in gravy from everywhere! Caligari still delivers the goods don’t they? I mean when it comes underground goodies he is the plug. I hated to see Cerebral Rot go but this is the next best thing. Keep those tapes coming man!!!!
thanks for the love! Glad you are enjoying Iron Fortress releases… those bands are amazing! Top 5 “demos” for me this year (non Iron Fortress) are Death Possession, Malefic Oath, Necrotic Ooze, Termagant, and Cadaverous Odour. I could go on and on about death metal demos cuz that stuff is my bread and butter but those are some slimey choices I recommend!
Great choices, Patrick! Perishing and Purulency are high on my list too. I’ve also really liked the EP’s by Cavern Womb, Vicarious Slaughter, and Whisper. Great video, as always. Cheers!
I kind of forgot about Cavern Womb. They are definitely in contention for the end of the year list. I haven't heard VS or Whisper. Thanks for the recs!
@@heavytherapy Yeah man, I get so many great recommendations from your channel, it’s cool to be able to send a couple your way. VS is some of the heaviest death doom you’ll find, IMO. Just crushing. And Whisper are esoteric, cosmic death metal. Given that you like Cavern Womb, I think you’ll dig them as well.
I have a cheap Crosley record/tape/cd player that I sometimes use for tapes only. I also have a wireless/wired new tape player called We Are Rewind. It has been worth the price so far. I need a real tape deck though. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!
I certainly hope I could tell. It's easy to imagine, though, with enough time and technological improvements, that I, or anyone, could, really, be fooled. And, even now, it's nearly impossible to know for the lay person if they are using plug-ins, or real analog distortion coming from pedals and amps, you know? The only honest answer is: Honestly, I'm not 100% convinced my my ability, no.
That Corpus Offal demo is excellent, looking forward to check out the rest of your picks!

Yeah, that Perishing is really good and I caught them live a couple months ago!

Nice reviews…helpful…but could you tell which bands use AI generated music and the ones that don’t.
