I love wearing Naxos, its complexity is unbelievable for me. In an hour or so, it gets sweeter, but not too much, so maybe it can be layered with a tonka bean-based perfume? Love this series!
Yeah I think either a tonka or vanilla perfume would work best for me!

There’s a fragrance called "White Forest" by Björk and Berries that supposedly smells like a combo of Bal D’afrique and Gypsy Water. Have you heard of this? I want to try it!
Yes I've tried it! It's similar to Bal d’Afrique, but BDA is better imo. White Forest is definitely more piney, and there is a balsam feel to this scent, making it smell a little bit like a candle. BDA is more citrusy and has more of an addicting sweetness
I agree, BDA is a bit more rounder and creamier, but I have White Forest as well and I love it! I use it in the spring and summer, on daily mundane occasions that don't require my most expensive niche perfumes 😄 they're really very similar though

Rouge Malachite smells lovely i may need to try this again and decide if i want to get it. i wish i could try hufflepuff here in europe. Sadly i didnt enjoy Ani i got no vanilla 🙈 it was also linear on me. XNihilo is a house I dont own. Vanille leather was okay but there was one note that bothered me and it wasnt the leather. Omg girl my favorite Xerjoff is also dama bianca!!! she changes 3 times on me! nothing has 3 different stages on me like dama bianca! ive never smelled a Byredo i also dont like lemons in perfume and i found one Karosene Unknown Pleasures and from the black tea it works its amazing and doesnt smell like cleaning supplies. love this video!

You are one of the perfumes reviewers that I trust SO hard. It’s funny to still see some differences in our likes which is all good ! Some of my favorites are :
Nishane : Hundred silent ways X. Ani unfortunately smells like essential oils to me.
BDK: Tabac Rose, so excited to try Vanille Leather.
Xerjoff: Bouquet Ideale. Dama Bianca smells like cleaning products to me (my savage hot take). That citrus is off putting to me. I REALLY like Naxos, so so sexy. I need to compare to Moon Glory and Tobacco Honey because I really want a honey perfume. Would love to hear your thoughts if you’ve smelled them.
Byredo: Biblioteque. I unfortunately can’t smell Bal dafrique :/ I really want to try Animalique!

Honey isn't for me, so I haven't been interested in Tobacco Honey, Moon Glory is very unique. Honeyed exotic florals with a woody base. The honey has a little bit of an animalic vibe to it giving it a carnal feel. Different to anything I’ve smelled before, I'll continue to revisit it. Because honey isn't something I gravitate towards, it isn't for me, but it's something I recommend testing for people who do :)

Side Effect is very nice but it sticks to fabric for way too long. After one wear I could smell it on my couch for 6 weeks.. I don't want to smell it for that long.
Vanille Leather is like Love Don’t be shy but with violette instead of Orange blossom. It is totally not what I expected. Blind bought it and wow, so bot for me! 🙈😂

Naxos was an eye opener to xerjoff, I love wearing it in day time on its own but occasionally layering it with lavant to move it in mild citrus direction rather than sweet

Im a dude. And so Xerjoff Naxos and the Byredos are the only ones that resonate with me.
But despite me loving Naxos at first, its not full bottle worthy for me any longer. I passed on it for a full bottle of More Than Words. That uber-sweet and strong honey, jasmine and lavender combination just grates way too much on me. Lavender is overall my favorite note, but I don't think it belongs in this uber sweet and honeyed composition. The Achilles of the composition.
As for Byredo, Bal d'Afrique and Pulp are my favorites. Gypsy Water is way too weak in every way for me.

You have me dying to try Vanille Leather, but I haven’t found it on Twisted Lily, So Avant Garde, or LuckyScent (all the usual places I look for BDK). I wonder why it’s not sold on those platforms. 🤔
At the moment it’s exclusive to BDK and Harrod’s I believe, but I’m sure it will eventually hit other retailers, similar to how the launch was with Ambre Safrano. I’ve seen decants on Decant X and Etsy :)

I sampled Naxos and loved it! Not sure if I would wear it enough personally to justify a full bottle but I enjoy it. I haven’t tried these combos but I wonder if Naxos would layer well with Mon Guerlain Intense or Boucheron Ambre d’Alexandrie?
Oh also maybe Zara Rich Warm Addictive or Banana Republic Tobacco & Tonka?

Ex Nihilo "Lust in Paradise" is my favorite from the brand. ""Fluer Narcotique" is nice and is very similar to Parfums de Marly "Valaya" but I prefer Valaya.
I got a sample of Ani and while I do think it's beautifully blended, after a while it just smells like Bath and Body Works Vanilla Birch. I've loved that scent for YEARS but at this point I'm kinda done with it 😢
