Just took a moment to think about how many more essential one of a kind items these settings add for beating OoT: Souls of Lizalfos, Stalfos, and Iron Knuckles to get to Ganon's boss door; Light arrows, bow, and magic to beat Ganondorf; Zelda's soul to start the Ganon fight; and finally Master sword to beat Ganon. That's 6 one of a kind items +bow and magic+ whatever you need to get Ganon's boss key to beat Oot. Kind of insane when you think about. MM on the other hand needs 5 one of a kind items I believe: Oath and the 4 notes needed to play Oath. So for the Giga rando that's 11 one of a kind items you need to find, with decoupled entrances. It's going to be insane.
@ZetaGirlPower ah yes, that's definitely important. So 12 one of a kind items total. Of those, the ocarina notes seem most likely to be impossible since a note needed for song of storms could easily be in a song of storms grotto with no other entrance. And the notes also lock a ton of other checks. Feels like they deserve guaranteed hints but maybe that'd saturate the hints with too many guaranteed ones.
I already knew the full decoupled combo rando was gonna be bad, but after how much trial and error it took him to find Zelda's Soul and Light Arrows when they were both known to be in Gerudo Valley... hoo boy

I love watching these, but always end up falling asleep for 10-15 sometimes longer. I get so excited to see when he gets items he needs, but inevitably it does happen during my snoozes as well 🤣
Sadly, most of the dungeon doors are not load zones, just load triggers for the visuals as the geometry is always active. They would need to recode the game and probably do a lot of editing of maps to be able to implement that.
