Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

Wheelie control, 35 degree lean angle, cruise control, light weight, beautiful looks, affordable, reliable. Honda’s out for blood with this bike.
Ima get one. This solves my major issue with riding. New amputee left leg. Cant shift. Dct for the win.
Honda have your back then
I bet that feels good man, being able to still ride thanks to technology. What a time to be alive! :)
Thanks for sharing that insight. I’ve got 2 hip replacements (right side), but I’m grateful I can keep riding. Blessings my friends.....
Awesome to hear. I’m happy you can still get out in the wind. Have fun on it!
Damn dude I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m glad you have this to look forward to. A friend of mine lost his right leg. So he can still ride anything but can’t use the rear brake. Easier to get over than your situation though.
Oh No !!! Now I don't want a Harley anymore !!!!
Wait a minute, I never wanted a Harley in the first place....
I had two Harleys my first and my last
I’ve never owned a Harley, only Honda’s, but I don’t mind harleys. I’d take this over a sporty though
I'm a big Harley fan, but this bike looks like a fantastic deal! Hopefully it will be one more thing that forces Harley to drop prices. I love Harley, but I value my money. It's a bad relationship.
@@mikew.197 If you don't think your Harley is good value for money, Harley can probably sell you an accessory to help you change your mind....
Definitely going to upgrade my Spirit 1100 for this when it’s available
Dude, fuск the fake HD/Triumph/Indian heritage. Honda's been around for a really long time without disappearing or changing owners, and their heritage is being mechanically superior to any other large scale OEM while providing unbelievable reliability. I ride '83 CM (Rebel's grandpa) and it's the best thing I've ever owned. This 1100 thing? Awesome. Can't wait.
Yep Vlad ... Agreed.... I ride a Bolt... But Definitely want to take this 1100 for a spin
I had an 82 Honda Cx 500. Loved it. Really like the look of this bike.
@@evanmcknight2566 I am about to switch either to CX500 ot VRX400 c:
I have to say, i was never into the honda bikes , but having worked for honda and seeing the anal retentive levels of quality control that goes into their manufacturing process, lets just say my triumph is getting dressed up and ready to be swapped
So my 81 shovelhead gets rode daily. Fuck all these companies trying to make there bikes look like....a Harley. Wonder why?
I'm an older longtime harley rider, and I can't wait to check one of these out. That's a sweet looking bike.
No, it's an ugly computer generated design. I still like the classic Sportster although I never really owned a Harley.
The Sportster 48 is a tough act to follow.
I've got a 20 Breakout 114. I love my bike but this bike is neat as hell. I still wouldn't trade my Harley for anything. Hondas are good bikes but Harleys have a soul. That's why they cost so much.
@@white_devil73 I’m with you in that I wouldn’t trade my Harley in for a Honda. I do however want to check one out. I’m pretty sure HD will get on the water cooled bandwagon, it’s only a matter of time.
What’s that saying? No one has Honda tattoos.
@@theone2be33 can’t argue with that.
It's a Honda - and that's enough 👍😎
The reputation sells a lot of bikes.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Yes, Honda - quality, reliability, but not prestige brand, HD - Great Image but very costy to buy and service, usually one or two steps back in technology comparing to modern brands
Perfect bike: great look, advanced and solid tech. And affordable price! Well done, Honda!
This is a cruiser that I would be interested in. I like how it has a more standard riding position. Thanks for the great video!! :)
Thanks for watching! It's a lot lighter than that Sportster you've got.
This is my next bike. I'm 59 and I like the light weight and yes the look of the bike. Can't wait.
My father says the same thing. He’s thinking about selling his 98 Valkyrie for this. And that’s says a lot cuz that’s his baby
I hear ya on the light weight. I'm 51 now. My last bike was a VTX 1300R and I was planning on stepping all the way down to the Rebel 500. Even after hearing about the 1100 I figured it would be too heavy. It's over 150 lbs. lighter than the VTX was, so I'd sure like to get one.
Never even considered a cruiser bike until this one came along. I will have a look when they land in my dealer’s showroom.
It seems to the reasonably priced, light cruiser that can be ridden sporty in the twisties. It might attract riders from different genres of motorcycling for sure.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Yes, kinda like the Ruckus looks like the "Hummer" Rugged bike of their Scooter series, The 1100 looks forth-with the same.... the "Hummer" of their up-coming Cruiser line-up.
That maroon/burgundy color with a dark tan leather seat would be perfect!
It looks like a weapon for the post-apocalyptic world - I like it.
Oh I’m definitely interested given it’s a 1100. I like the look of the Rebel.
@@FranBunnyFFXII gee whiz..... I might sell my vfr1200f for this beast.....
I’m 75 and I’m buying one as soon as I can get my hands on it. DCT, only way to go.
yeah man, my left hand and both my Knees are a bit messed up from previous bike accidents, and is getting very painful to work my Clutch on a daily basis, DCT will def be very helpful
Within the last year, I sold my 2017 Harley Low Rider. It was a great bike, but at 666 pounds and my being 64 years old with a little arthritis in the knees, it just wasn't nimble enough for me to feel comfortable with. I am definitely eyeing the new Rebel 1100 as the one word constantly repeated on various reviews to describe it is "nimble". At 180 pounds lighter than my Harley and with its technology and light handling, it will permit older riders such as myself an avenue to continue motorcycling. 2022 price in my US home state of Arkansas is $9399 for the manual version and $9999 for the DCT.
Super happy to hear your input. Most wonderful to listen to your unbiased insights! Cheers
I seen someone complaining about the lack of chrome, personally the lack of chrome is a major plus point to me. Blacked out everything, nice. I'd want to chop the rear mudguard back a bit and bin the silencer though, otherwise I'd be happy to have that on the driveway.
I have a 2020 Rebel 500 and absolutely love it. The Rebel 1100 WILL be my next bike, either this year, or next!
Me too
me three
I'm currently looking to buy Rebel 500 as my first bike. As an owner of 500, do you think I should I go with 1100 instead?
@@iLite_555 No. I would not recommend the 1100 if this is your first bike. You will have MUCH more fun learning to handle the 500. That is plenty of bike!
I bought one off the dealer floor. They seem to be in short supply. Haven’t seen one since. I love it! Gobs of torque right where you want it! It can cruise and melt your face all on the same ride! I haven’t replaced the pipe yet. Trying to keep the neighbors happy, and I use earplugs anyway. It’s got a fantastic growl from the air cleaner so it sounds great from the rider position. Don’t like the looks of the pipe but waiting for Yosh to come up with one.
As a 270 degree crank fan myself, I think this will be great! All the comfort of a cruiser, without the V Twin vibration. Easier to maintain, more compact and nimble. Very cool, Honda, very cool.
Yes, I am patiently waiting for the release. I have been looking for a light weight cruiser but want power this looks like it will work
Cool bike, but what I really like is your presentation... Your knowledge, your passion, your honesty and creativity ... Impressive 👍👍👍
HAVE TO AGREE, YOUR PRESENTATION ON THIS BIKE 🚲 WAS VERY SOLID. HONDA IF YOUR LISTENING 🎧 GIVE THIS MAN A BIKE!!! HE JUST MADE YOU A SHIT TON OF MONEY 💵💰 I JUST BOUGHT 3... TWO BROTHERS ARE VERY HAPPY AND SO AM I. LOTS OF MY FRIENDS WILL BE GETTING THIS BIKE NOW THANKS TO THIS GENIUS RUclipsR💯🌍 DOMINATION HERE COMES THE NEW HONDA 1100....💪
I bought a Honda DN-01 six months ago, love it and when its time to upgrade ill definitely get the auto 1100
DCT? awesome! Right up there with the coming of the electric starter. We all know what that has done for the new and aged...
Good looking machine👍
Got damn I’ve wanted a rebel for like 3 years now and I’m getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger
Same here, at least 2 years looking at a 500. Pulling the trigger this year on the 1100.
I bought mine back in July. I love it.
I can't wait!! Told my dealer already!! My left ankle is fused so changing gears really a pain, I have a DCT 750 now but I am really excited about the Rebel
I have the 500 Rebel and love it. What to see this 1100 Rebel. This looks and sounds awesome!
Looks nice,You did a great review and I appreciate you.
Cant wait for this thing
😊 I think in love!!! Had a Wing in 76 went to a can am Spyder and a new hip!! In 2008 and now with DCT and a reverse WOW !!! Rebels & Wings How can it get any better than that 🌝
I really like this new Rebel, would love to own one. I’ve been riding for just about 50 years and currently ride a Suzuki Boulevard C90t but would like something smaller and lighter. I think this fills the bill!
Just ordered one, coming off a Rocket 3 GT which I have put 6,000 miles on and thoroughly enjoyed but at 66 need something lighter and as you said arthritis and hip issues means this much easier to ride. Spec'd the bike up with touring pack and mini bat wing screen and still got a decent wedge of change for part ex...about 3 week lead time for bike, accessories maybe a bit longer. Great job Honda, been riding 40 plus years, owned a few Hondas and never had any major issues. Great review, in my opinion you got it spot on.
My wife has had her Rebel 500 for 2 years and 8000 bulletproof miles, but she's been wanting to move up. Perfect timing.
The sad part is her bike will be faster than my Harley! LOL
The 500’s aren’t bad though. Not insane but they have decent pep. The 1100 doubles the power though, without weighing a ton more. It’ll be a pretty peppy bike
As a short rider cant wait for this bike. Moved from a shadow 600 to vtx 1300. Went on long cruise with friends and saw the limitations of the 600. My vtx 1300 has power in every gear and able to pass. Love that bike but would be nice to have lighter big displacement cruiser. The shadow feels like a toy after riding the vtx.
yeah, I'll probably buy it - will get on a waiting list and see
Thanks for the info. Bike is very interesting and I like the tank style/ design. Good video !!
What a great looking bike.... I would buy this bike in a heartbeat
I have a Honda Rebel 500 and absolutely love it....light, agile, nimble, can flat-foot when stopped with ease. I definitely plan to trade up to the 1100 when it arrives at my local dealership
Thumbs up again my friend , I will be looking at this , the Indian Scout , the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster ...the tank position throws me off but like how it looks set up for touring ..stay safe everyone!
Y’know , I find that You meet the nicest people on a Honda ...
I'm getting this motorcycle for my next birthday. Looking forward to it.
I currently ride a Honda CBR and I gotta say Honda is amazing. Maintenance is easy.
Already looking for a Honda dealer to get me one, this is the bike u want to own and keep for long long time, has the perfect amount of power, beautiful design, the best tech in their segment, it has it all, and you know reliability and low maintenance are part of the deal, cant wait to get me one
Never gave the rebel a thought until i saw a new 500 on the dealers floor and i really really liked it. An 1100 depending on price here in Norway i might seriously consider selling the sportster
I had the same reaction to the 500. Saw pictures, did not like it much at all. Saw it at the dealers, bought one. And now I am trading it in for the 1100.
@@Duckie313 I especially like the extra stuff like the small fairing. now just to see who will make the best aftermarket exhaust
@@Nifilheimur I am very torn between the bikini-fairing and the mini batwing, I might just get both and swap between them, if it isn't too much work to swap out. I ordered mine with the bikini-fairing, I know that looks good, I have it on my 500, suits the bike so well. I like the idea of the touring fairing, the mini batwing looks nice in videos, but I want to see it in real life before I order one. Some wind / weather protection would be nice though in the area I live, we do not get the warmest summers here. We'll see, always have the option of getting more stuff to stick on the bike in the future.
@@Nifilheimur I'm getting one and changing out the muffler. Can't wait.
@@ecrusch are there any aftermarket cans out already?
31yo here riding a Z900.
I’m looking for something more comfortable as my next bike and the Rebel 1100 is the only cruiser I’m interested to look at.
It’s definitely aimed at Millenials with a more modern, blacked out look and good performance.
You can’t go wrong with rebel!!!
interesting. I have the Z900 and the Rebel 500. They're both pretty comfortable especially with a corbin replacement seat for the Z. Are you looking to trade in your Z?
@@ongmoto yes I’ll trade it. I want something with cruise control and ideally better wind protection for for longer rides.
I was looking at the Tracer GT but they raised it from 14.5k to 17k here in Canada for 2021.
@@jgodin03 got a madstad windshield and a crampbuster on my z900. Not the best but look at those before taking the dive.
Yep. I'd buy one. I like the style plus the 1100 inline twin.
I bought a Honda Rebel 1100 DCT. Best bike i ever owned. I like the non-harley cruiser look. It sounds great also. I bought lots of accessories and feel this bike is a resl winner. Its balance is real good and i do dlow speed manuevers all the rime. Thanks Honda!
Well done! At first I thought the 1100 Rebel had some mixed up lines, a bit confusing to look at. But it's growing on me. It's a must see and test when it arrives here in Denmark
Wow nice ! I'm still leaning for the Indain scout this spring.......for now
I just Dig the sound it puts out more of a traditional vtwin
I gave back my Yamaha XSR700 to my dealer, and put a deposit on the Rebel. I'm 52 years old, I have had several motorcycles, but I think I'm ready for a Cruiser thag has this level of sophistication - and reliability!
i have a 2018 ATAS DCT, and i love it! For sure i will get this Rebel 1100!!!
I will be getting one!! Been waiting for a good cruiser style with DCT!!
I had planned to make this my first brand new bike. But I'm waiting to see my virago bobber completed as my second bike . Already love my Shadow Aero. This is a far better sale report than the robotic Honda reveal post. Look forward to a test run, but I'm genuinely more excited by my Virago bobber plan.
I had the CMX 500 Rebel for a while. It was quite a lot of fun and I learned a lot on it. I later switched to a HD Sport Glide though, because the Rebel was a little too small for me overall. The one big flaw the rebel - in my opinion - is the metal bar dividing the seats. You can not place an extended saddle on it because of it which is really sad because an extended saddle would elevate this bike to new heights.
I'd try one of these just to try out the cruise control. I'm not big on fly by wire but....I like cruise.
Great lean angles too. Nice specs Honda 👍
I bought the Rebel 500 Last summer and loves it. It is my first bike so my knowledge of bikes is not exactly good. But yes, I will defenentlie check this one out next summer😎🤙
I just ordered one.....
Taking delivery early February!
Woo Hoo !
Absolutely a game changer
I love the look of this bike with the fat tires front and rear, and I have long since preferred parallel twins to v-twins for the Simplicity of maintenance
And with the writer modes in cruise control standard, I'm not sure I can get to my bank to make the loan fast enough
There seems to be a ton of enthusiasm for this bike. I think that it will sell like hot cakes.
If I was looking to replace my current bike (a Kawa) this is the way I would go. Always loved Hondas and owned several over the years and this new Rebel has everything that I look for in a bike. Including good looks. Propably won´t go and test ride one, though as that might be expensive...
Very interesting! Will test ride as soon as possible in the spring! 187cm so will see how i fit.
Would love to get one in the future, to me it looks great that all black is very nice. The touring outfit looks really good and 1100cc is more than enough. If it works as good as it seems it’ll be a home run on Honda’s part.
Oh yes ! I'd definitely migrate from my current Honda Rebel 500 to this nice Rebel 1100. I will first check that DCT system, seems to be quite convenient for city riding, but I don't want to lose the sportiveness of a manual transmission bike !
I'm a new rider and my first bike is the 2018 MT 07 but I started by looking at the Rebels first but decided I needed a bit more power. If I decide to go with a cruiser it will most likely be the Rebel 1100. Price, tech and reliability can't be beaten. I would rather enjoy the riding season by riding the bike than just constantly fixing it. And that weight and it really is a superb deal.
I'm 65 years old and honestly, this is the bike for me going forward. I didn't want to fork over $20K for the Goldwing DCT - this provides me with another option. Great video.
Really nice one!! Good job Honda!!
Last year i got a 2015 Honda cmx250 Rebel. It's red and has lot's of old-school chrome!
I've had my 2018 Rebel 500 for a season.. was looking to upgrade. This looks like the upgrade for me
just sell your 500 and put that money towards the 1100
After a long period without bikes I’m looking at getting back into the saddle I’m thinking of a triumph bobber or a royal enfield but this Honda at the right price could be my next ride , I will definitely check out Honda Sweden and see if it’s coming to Scandinavia.thank you for the video.
Great video 👍 Like everything about the Rebel except the chain drive. Probably a price point reason.
The Rebel 500 is one of those bikes I saw images of, and was not sold. Went to a dealer to look at Triumph, same dealer also does Honda, saw the Rebel in real life, and bought one. And now I have pre-ordered the 1100, I am loving the Rebel lineup for sure. Seating position suits me well, and the 500 at least is such an easy bike to ride. I am pretty sure the extra 30 kilos, and oodles of power in the 1100 will not be a problem for me, if anything it should be even more fun than the 500. :)
I had gone through total hip replacement surgery eleven years back. I have been riding Bandit 1250s.
I am really impressed and convinced to get this Honda 😃
Selling my Bandit 😆
I just put down a deposit on the DCT model.
Here in New Jersey, here's the price breakdown:
Base Price: 9999
Freight: 695
Dealer Prep / Rigging Fee: 595
Documentation Fees: 256
Sales Tax: 755
$12,300.00
Love the look really thinking about getting one debating between this and the Vulcan S
I'm currently riding a Honda nc750x with the dct gearbox because of a neurological disease I have, but it's getting hard to move around even though ove lowered the seat height.
This new Rebel dct may well be the solution to my problems.
Can't wait to try one.
This bike looks amazing. Well done Honda!
Got cruise control on my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and that's the best thing about it.
I'm new. I started out on a Harley sportster 1200. I love it. It's not about the power but how you control it. IMO. I'd get this bike though. Looks cool. As I age I'm sure I'd like the automatic ability. Especially with slight carpal tunnel
Thank you so much for another informative great video !
I have the 500se , more than enough , been riding for 43 years , ride on 😎
I already placed my order to Honda Taiwan right at the moment it launched Rebel 1100. The price is NTD 498,000 dollars or equivalent to U$17,800 (2021/1/24 exchange rate) dollars. Only DCT-version is available now. I know it is way too expensive compared to the MSRP in States but this is the fact I have to live with. Expected time of delivery is in Q2 this year.
This bike will sell like a cup cakes.. i want one.
I bought one and the dealer took four more deposits while I was there!
Blacked out looks nice
I’d buy one! Actually might sell my HD Road King. We’ll see!
I would definitely buy one I own the Africa twin and love it this would be a great addition for street riding in my beit collection
solid review and this should be a winner......
Definitely would like to have this one.
I’m looking forward to checking this bike out.
Its no brainer, was going to by a honda shadow, and i saw it in 3 colors, the green just was it. 45 min later i was ridinf it home and boy, is my favorite toy. ❤It
I was planning on getting a scout bobber in January... was lol now I'm going to be looking at honda
I've had 8 bikes for a 150cc 2stoke to a 1300 tourer/cruiser. My favorite is/was my Honda ST1100, but is really too tall for me (tipped over more than once). I've rented Harleys and enjoyed the cruise control, now I can have a reliable Honda with a good sized engine and cruise control. I'll have sell or trade the two I have, but I want one!
My first bike was the 250 Rebel & I loved it saddly sold it and bought a Suzuki M50 before hearing about the 1100 even though I got the M50 for super cheap with low miles. I have been looking at a 2nd bike going to dealers and sitting on a lot of bikes like Vulcan S, Bolt, Bonneville, Shadow & Rebel 500 but it's all about how fast they go off the line and I think the 1100 is gonna give the M109R B.O.S.S. a run for the record books
The tank frame area is similar to my 1999 Bandit style, all those older riders who owned a Bandit 20 years ago will be into this. great price and looks. £9,000 in UK, £9,900 with DCT, for comparison a Streeetbob is £12,300. Sportsters not available new soon in UK.
I'm all about it. A few mods to personalize it and it's perfect for me.
I will be buying one. it’s a no brainer. Honda reliability and affordability Whaaaaat! Can’t go wrong ! Thanks for the video.
One thing about Hondas, they always look better up close and personal than they do in pics and vids, so if you like the looks now, you'll love it we you see it. It's a light bike, I wonder how it feels on the highway when passing a semi. I like the maroon, w the batwing sissy bar and bags.
Definitely added this to my list when I move on to the A license in a few years.
The only real issue I have is with the blacked out engine. It looks too much like a toy to me. But if they added a steel coloured engine option with the red paint oh boy would I have some serious decision paralysis haha!
This is a cruiser that I would be interested in and I can't wait to try one.
I am taking an educated guess and say that in Canada the prices will be around 11k for manual and around 12k for the DCT version. Think NC750X prices in Canada.
And oh, nice video. Cheers!
Yeah...... A lot of the spread of bikes that used to be..... Aren't anymore.... Speaking of the CTX 700 and 1300\s...... Oh well ,they were odd-ball touring class rides anyways. For what it's worth .... if the XVS950 runs you about $9200, I think the 1100 should run around 10 G's .... to be fair in CDN $
This is gonna crush the market. Good you on you Honda for pushing everyone into the future. This might just bump the scout out of the garage.
Around £9000 + OTR costs in the UK my Source The Bike Market online nice bike :) No HD dealer anywhere near me. But a Honda dealer 8 miles away happy days !
Yeah, having a dealer nearby is definitely a factor.
My local Honda dealer, within spitting distance from my house, used to sell HD, stopped earlier this year. I don't mind, I am getting the Rebel 1100. ;)
£8999 on the road in the UK.
BEEN WAITING ON THIS ONE FOR a LONG ass time. Nice!
