Great set of video’s about Kalamaki. We are visiting again after about 12 years. My husband has since developed a gluten allergy so your videos have been really useful. Thankyou x
Aww thank you Lucy, pleased you have liked them. It's good to hear they have been helpful for you too. Never thought about the gluten intolerance stuff when doing them but its good to know they have provided useful info on that with the menu's.
Thank you both for all the videos of Kalamaki. We will be visiting for the first time in early August and are so looking forward to it. We intended going to Ellie's place before watching and now we are even more so. Thanks again folks :-)
Thank for watching Craig, glad the videos have been able to help you out. Yes, definitely get to Ellies Place, the food and staff are top notch. We both hope you have a lovely first time there, hopefully you will want to return after going.
Great video, cheers. We're off to Kalamaki in 4 weeks and will be trying out different restaurants. Having been before, we would recommend Ambrosia too. Also Paolo's, and for value for money the Olive Tree. Thanks again!
Thank you as always Sian. We didn't really have a bad meal the whole time there and there was a few places we didn't do videos for too. Can't really go too far wrong with the restaurants in Kalamaki.
Thank you both for the food tasting and restaurant reviews it’s been a pleasure to watch all of your posting’s on Zante, They have been well put together and edited we are going in August and will try the melon bar for sure looking forward to your next adventure . Happy holidays YAMAS🏖
Thank you Pullman 52. There is still one more episode to come though, should have that one done for next week sometime. I need to get started on it though but it should be done for next week. Pleased you have enjoyed them though.
great vid thx for that,we goin in few weeks 1st time to kalamaki nice to see few restaurants and food prices seem very reasonable lookin forward to it keep up the good work,
Thank you Phil, glad you found it useful. We'd have loved to have done more but the video would've gone on forever and already felt I was pushing it at nearly 40 mins long. There are so many good restaurants, you probably can't go wrong with your choice.
Thank you Mark, yes these 5 are definitely worth trying out, but there are so many in Kalamaki. You do get your favourites too though and want to go back to some of them. Yammas.
I'll try and keep that in mind of we get back. Yeah Pandesia was quite quiet but it was a lot busier than when we went the same time in 2019 which as nice to see.
@@continentalcoxons Loving your videos as we haven't been to Zante for 3 years because of COVID but so looking forward to it! Thank you for sharing your experiences!!
@@SimonWestPhotography just pleased people have enjoyed them as much. Thank you for the lovely comments Simon, we really appreciate each and everyone of them, well, the nice ones anyway.
'Chicken Gordon Blue' on that menu looked great..hehe. Great video series as ever Jamie & Jacqui! :) get yourselves to Skiathos in September and we'll get a mythos 💃🤣🍻 yammas! Fi x
Love some of the ways they spell things on the menu's 😅 We will see what kind of deals come up and if we can get away. Thanks again for watching, one episode left to go 🥺 Thi k it's just about done but think I now have covid again. Jacqui tested positive this morning and I'm feeling pretty rough too.
@@continentalcoxons ahh no! Sorry to hear that Jamie, hope Jacqui's on the mend. Sending good vibes and of course, if you're there we shall surely meet and find that slutty cat with a mythos or two 😂 Take care x
Loved this video, thank you. Sad to see the next one is the coming home video. Looking forward to seeing your next destination, do you know where you're going next?
Aww thank you Zoe. Yeah it's been fun making these ones and we had a great time there. Not too sure where we will be next. If we are lucky we may get away in September but we always usually book a few weeks before and just end up where we end up. All being well next year, we could be on a huge trip last 4/5 weeks which we planned before covid but got cancelled. We will see.
@@continentalcoxons sounds great! Will definitely keep an eye out for that one next year. We'll look forward to your September holiday as well. We've booked to go to Skiathos next year, so once we watch your final Zante one, we'll go back and watch your Skiathos ones again :)

Thank you for the videos on Kalamaki and more so this one about where to eat. Will be our 1st time next year even going to Greece 🇬🇷 very informative videos. Is Kalamaki a party place only I hear it’s more for the younger generation. We are in our 50s love music but not wanting a Magaluf atmosphere like back in the days 😜
Kalamaki is probably perfect for a first visit. There's plenty to ifnlife there but it's not like Magaluf at all, just a nice level. Magaluf style would be Laganas which is about 3 miles away. Kalamaki probably more for couples and families. Just a nice atmosphere. Some fantastic restaurants. Thanks for taking time to watch us 😊
@@continentalcoxons only having been to Turkey for the last 10 years we have no clue what to expect. I do hear the people there are very friendly more so than the Turkish who are wonderful. How far is it to Laganas? Is it walking distance or do you need a taxi? 😊
@ceceliarussell4820 it's only about 3 miles away. It's just one big strip full.of loud bars and drunken youngsters in Laganas really. Kalamaki is a much nicer vibe. The people in Greece are some of the friendliest you'll meet. As it happens, we are away to Turkey on Saturday.
@@continentalcoxons well that reassures me. Kalamki I’ll be staying in then ☺️ sounds like more of my vibe. You will love Turkey if you haven’t been before. What part are you going to? That you too for your quick replies. ☺️
@ceceliarussell4820 yeah I've been to Turkey twice before, Jacqui hasn't been though so its a first for her. Just busy packing a few bits as we message. We are going to Dalyan, not been there before so looking forward to it. Heard good things about it. Keep an eye out for the videos maybe late autumn time Ince we get the Vietnam series wrapped up
Make sure you get given a proper bill. First and last time we went their Claude was fixing something his wife came over and told us the price. No paper bill. It was quite a lot more than we'd spent in other restaurants. Wasn't anything special. I understand places can have off nights but it put us off going back l.
Loads of great restaurants here. Ambrosia was bland when I went - Milos is good, fabulous steak at Bullhorn and lovely staff at Olive Grove. Too many to mention…
Brilliant videos and loads of information. I intend to visit shipwreck beach, so can I drive there and walk down or is access only via boat? My tourist provider advised me to use cash card when paying (its like your bank card) but do they prefer cash? Holiday cant come quick enough having seen these vids. Downside, I'm going solo.
Thank you, pleased you are enjoying them and helping you out. You can only access the actual beach itself by boat. We actually preferred seeing it from the cliff to be honest, looked spectacular from up above. We use a Revolut card which is great, can top it up through the app and just about everywhere accepts them. Think everywhere we went we used our card without problems. If you need any you can always draw some out from the card. The Greeks are always really welcoming so you won't ever feel alone.
I'm glad you never put the olive tree down as a good one it looks great but food sucks I think most of our meal was from Iceland's supermarket frozen food section expensive for what you get. Denny Inn hotels has done the best home cooked meals here so far at half the price. Very family friendly..
We have actually eaten there a few times over the years and the meals we have had have been fine. I think sometimes it all depends which dish you get too. Some restaurants we ate in that I thought were good but jacqui didn't have the best of dishes which kind of put her off.
Been to the Olive tree, about 15 times over the years, never had a bad meal, and its always queued up to get in, so more people like it than other places, I like Diaz and Parthenon too
