- A stereo demo of the Strymon Mobius - going through various factory presets with my telecaster-style partscaster, plus an intro composition that was fueled by inspiration from the Mobius :) What are your thoughts on this pedal?
Other effects used:
JHS Morning Glory
Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz
Strymon Big Sky (some plate reverb on most samples; a more extreme setting on a few presets)
Boss DD-500 (on Warbled Wax preset)
Strymon Iridium ('Round' amp)

Great demo! Love my mobius, worth every peny. When I'm not using it stereo, I run mine in the pre/post mode, with th 4 cable connection, so I can use modulation before and after my drive pedals. If you haven't tried it, I can't recomend it enough. It just takes the pedal to a new level, imo.
The Filter effect is amazing.
Very impressive indeed!!! Good job, Strymon.
I just ordered one. Thanks for the awesome demo ❤
Great demo!
Awesome review!!!
Very nice, man.
good job man thx for sharing ,
Great video
Thanks. Very useful
Thanks!
The settings that you use for the intro are presets? Thank you so much for posting this very inspiring and creative
Thanks for watching, all sounds used in the intro are factory presets also.
@@StevenRichisonGuitar Wow. The intro alone and this answer, after a couple of weeks trying to decide about buying it, just sold the Mobius it to me. I have zero doubts now.
@@javiergr190 I don't think you'll be disappointed, it's a great pedal :)
Just to let you know brother. I ended up buying 2. Thank you.
I cascade the both of them, very creative.
If using with the Strymon Iridium, would you recommend putting the Mobius before or after the Iridium? I've heard a lot of people put delay and reverb after the Iridium and it sounds great that way. What about the various effects in the Mobius? Thanks!
I put mine before my Iridium, and wouldn’t dream of doing it the other way around :)
@@StevenRichisonGuitar Have you tried it? Putting delay and reverb after iridium is based around the idea of recording in a studio, where delay and reverb is often added after the mic'ed amp/cab is brought into a daw during the mixing and mastering process.
@@RyanWalkerFireBender Very true, however the question was about where I recommend to put the Mobius in the chain, which is neither a reverb or delay effect. I find that modulation effects always play nicer before an amp sim.
@@StevenRichisonGuitar My apologies, you're absolutely right haha. I misread the original question and focused on the delay and reverb part, not the mobius part. Yes yes, I wouldn't put a mod effect after an amp sim either.
I have to disagree with putting a cab/iR sim at the end of an effects chain... You want the effects to manipulate the "colorized" tone, not colorize the effected signal... Pretty easy to check out the difference...
With all the other effects in play it's hard to assess the Mobius, even while clear what it's contribution is.
This thread has gone cold, but it's still out there, so I'll take a chance. I love your selection. I notice the speed, depth, level, param 1 and param 2 knobs are set to zero. The factory preset sheet from Strymon indicates positions for these knobs. Are those positions part of the preset and do not require user adjustment? That is, is what we're seeing on the screen how your unit is set for each of the presets? Thanks!
The knob positions you are seeing on the unit don’t show the actual settings, because I am using saved presets where the settings are stored.
@@StevenRichisonGuitar Thank you for taking the time to reply. Very helpful.
does it mean I can have only one effect at a time ?
Yes that’s correct, you can only use one effect at a time.
Question though: are we really hearing ONLY the Mobius here? Or are other effects used too?
See description
Does this have a looper ?
No it doesn't. Loopers are typically a feature of delay pedals, such as the Strymon Timeline :)
Where can I find exact settings of all your presents?
Thanks for watching! These are all factory presets. Check the video description for the list of presets used. Preset settings can be found here -

Thank you
How to use demo preset?!!
