No worries, you can overclock safely.. I own the monitor and I leave it at 144hz.. The disadvantage of 165hz it's that the response time rises a little.. From 5.2 to 6 ms what means a little more motion blur but very negible really.. On the other hand compensate it by more refresh rate of 165hz but really not worth it in my opinion cause 21hz more it's just marketing.. Really no difference from 144hz.. Just enjoy it whatever way you decided..If what you want it's improve it more, then buy a rgb strip from 10$ and put it behind the monitor.. That would increase the contrast ratio significantly getting deeper blacks and more vibrant colors.. Just a tip 👍
When installed it looks a lot less jarring than one would think. Old gamer here when using it all I see is the almost bezel-less screen and I'm happy I got it

Thats probably because he took the picture with a camera or much worse, a phone. I have the xb1 and true, there is backlightbleed on the sides but its not gamebreaking. Backlight also happens to apppear on darks scenes and Im sure you wouldn't be playing on dark scenes all day long...
@@TheDevestatorX thing is that if we continue to accept these defects on such expensive monitors, manufacturers won't fix the problem. Any bleeding at all should be unacceptable at the price point. It can be rectified if people stop allowing them to get away with it.
I acknowledge your opinion. I think we have to just bear with it for the time being. Its not just a few that is affected, its all of the monitors, so its safe to assume that its a birth defect that comes in with the production of the ips panels. Hey Dude. I recently purchased the mpg27cq. screen was nice, especially with the curve. but mine had 10 or so dead pixels and well as severe backlight bleed because of the curve. I'd probably steer away from the msi as they are not a monitor panel manufacturer. go with the XB271HU (IPS)
Is it safe to overclock this to 165hz? what is the disadvantage of it? will it reduce life span monitor? heat? i own this monitor but i never enable the overclock mode because im scare if it not good for monitor health because i paid this monitor with high price
Hello from Malaysia. i am looking for part, display board for xb271hu. If anyone have this part pls leave me a comment.
Why is it an LCD ?!
fuck it i'm buying it
Ah yes, 80 kg monitor. Be aware, this will break your desk 😂
Mine stuck at 60Hz 🤦♀️
Are you using Displayport? If not than you will only get 60HZ.
This monitor would be perfect if it didnt look like that one edgy kid during his "phase"
Trisii Boi tf dude? How do you get that in your head after looking at this monitor? what the hell man.
When installed it looks a lot less jarring than one would think. Old gamer here when using it all I see is the almost bezel-less screen and I'm happy I got it
Is this the first gaming monitor you've seen?
so true. wanna buy it, but that's rlly turning me off. Wtf were the designers of that thing thinking
Meh, there are worse ones out there. The thin bezels make up for any design shortfalls this thing has.
this is literally a paid ad...
Can that monitor be attached to a arm mount?
yes you'll need a standard VESA mount
Is it still worth to buy?
this monitor released in late 2016; mine is a late 2019 model and im still very happy with it however there are very likely newer monitors in the space now for cheaper with the same/better specs so do your research :)
got this monitor for 30$ lol
do you know if the predator XB271hu monitor runs 120hz on ps5
it doesnt. u need displayport for over 60fps. the hdmi only does 60fps . i tried :(
@@caffeinefix2751 wow thanks. U saved me some stress
@@caffeinefix2751can it do 1440p at 144hz in Hdmi, for windows not ps5.
just look at the backlight bleed at the end, that's disgusting for a monitor at that price
If these continue with the ips panels, I hope they make another brand new one, without the defect.
The Black levels are horrific in general too. The monitor is good for bright content but dont buy this monitor and expect any dark game or dark movie to look good.
Any backlight bleeding?
Only some batches. You're playing the lottery with monitors. Recent ones don't seem to have this problem though
Mine from 2018 got bleeding right bottom
Same here. Barely visible though. Also, i believe the refund process is not worth it. You might even get a worse one.@@lomstertv366

This moniter isn't 144hz refresh rate... It's 165hz
@@David-Kynastondoes this monitor do 1440p with 144hz on hdmi only
