So on the vespid front boss, in the new sm codex we might get a range refresh for tau auxiliaries as a massive tau fleet showed up in blood angel territory and they have tons of auxiliaries
I always imagined the Zoats to be refugees which are fleeing the Tyranid invasion. Some managed to gain control of Tyranid bioforms, especially those that are not controlled by synaptic creatures, due to the Zoat's telepathic abilities and by doing so escaped the Tyranid hordes. Many Zoats have been subsumed by the Tyranids, others escaped into the galaxy on biofleets such as Colossus while others still are spread across the galaxy. The very existence of the forerunner's ancient vessel seems to indicate that Zoats were active in the galaxy long before the arrival of the Hive Fleets. So, my scenario is this- the Zoats were a civilisation at the edge of the galaxy wo had advanced biotech. The Hive Fleets reached and consumed their planet but due to Zoat telepathic ability, many Zoats were subsumed rather than consumed by the Tyranids. They lived as a sort of parasitic race within the greater Tyranid organism, using their powers to "convince" the Tyranids that they were indead one of their synaptic creatures. Some Zoats took command of Tyranid bio-ships, like cuckoos taking over a nest, and used them to flee into the known galaxy. Others, such as the forerunner, had already escaped on Zoat made vessels. At any rate, the Zoats who were subsumed were eventually purged by the Tyranids once the evolution of the Hive became advanced enough to detect them. Those who fleed on Tyranid vessels were hunted down by the Imperium once they breached Imperial space, most notably the battle against "Hive Fleet" Colossus. There are scattered Zoats still active in the galaxy, such as the Archivist, but they are few and far between. The Zoats are largely a spent force now. To make real world parallels, I imagine the Zoats being like the various Germanic tribes, driven into the bulwark of the Roman Empire by the oncoming Huns (the Tyranids) as well as being a parasitic race that, due to a quirk of biology, managed to live within the Tyranid bio-organism until detected and eradicated, much like a bacteria or virus or other parasite living within a larger organism in the real world
The Hrud and Vespids are some personal favorites of mine. I've wanted to get a Hrud model for close to decades at this point, even if it would be too broken to actually run in anything. I'm okay with Vespids not having a lot, but it would be cool to run a Tau army that actually has more than just Kroot and Vespid auxillaries. Add a couple more, even if they're kinda trash.
to be honest, the term in this hobby "Can shred through space marine armor" is no longer impressive. After 14 years in this hobby, anytime I hear something like that, I can't help but roll my eyes and think "Well, at this point, what can't?"
Honestly true, after almost 2 decades in the hobby, we read that almost every weapon can do it, however, its still impressive they do it with bare claws, and it's one of their few base lore facts we have confirmation on

See, this is why you ALWAYS destroy any non-elf related xenos.
HA!
Never trust an elf.
@@DarkCatfishEspecially destroy elf related xenos!
Ive seen a few of these "little known xenos in 40k" videos but this is the first to actually show me things ive never heard of!
The Vespid have a yellow lantern symbol on their chest. I had no idea they followed Thaal Sinestro
Fantastic video and I’m happy I worked with you:3
Thank you for the AMAZING music, and for next video I shall be able to use more of it XD
I hope you guys enjoyed it!
The worst part about enslavers might be to if you are not "gifted" you are just like a lamp ready to be sacrifuced.
LMAO
rangdan and rak'gol. these are the two xenos races that we most need more lore about and need table top models and a codex.
I just want more insight into pocket xeno empires
I shall do a series of these I think! It was very very fun to make
Very nice!! Super excited to watch this!
Hope you enjoy it!
Remember the vespid communication helmets certainly aren't mind control helmets

The zoats tyrannic connections have been ENTIRELY retconned. They have 0 connection to the Tyranids ever since blackstone fortress revived the xenos
Loved the video man!
Appreciate it!
YES!
YES!
Seeing zoat now I wanna see a quadruped daemon prince
The crave. Always the crave
Soon!
Do a part two.
I shall!
haha artwork turned out nice on the thumbnail
Thank you for making another INCREDIBLE piece!
Now I can't sleep tonight and have to look under the bed hourly with my trusty Bolter in hand 😅
I am interested what happens when enslaver encounters a blank.
Bjorn and Grimnar kick total fucking ass. Both kicked the shit out of Magnus. Grimnar himself made the Grey Knights and the Inquisition his bitch.
💪💪💪
YESSIR!
Vespids 40s BVersion of Halos Buggers
I need hrud and rangdang lore
Cool video
I just want to see more xenos victories. Getting bored with the humans winning and not advancing the setting.
This video made me want to join the Deathwatch and purge all the Xenos for the glory of the Emperor 😤😤
