Hekate course seems like it's all about theory, I wonder what are the practical implications of engaging with Hekate this way? Also, does anybody has any experience with another Blackthorne school course: Somatic Sorcery? It's hard for me to find any reviews. Especially as for a bodyworker.
Curious as to whether this course is appropriate for a beginner. While not a complete beginner, I would barely consider myself a neophyte. The impression I got from the intro video to the course is it’s more for an intermediate practitioner. Thank you for the review!
Jack's very modest. No, while I wouldn't recommend this as your very first encounter with magic, if you have been thinking about magic and gods and spirits and the meaning of it all for more than say, a year, while youay not be able to access every single detail of this course, there'll be so much that you can access that will be of higher quality than anything else out there that you won't even be bothered by what you can't yet access. The videos remain available after the end of the course, so as you continue to develop you can revisit and continue getting new stuff from the material as it becomes relevant to you (and you notice it!)
When you say „the course is for anyone“, would that include first-time practitioners as well? I have been looking for something practical for ages now and still haven’t found the right fit 😔
I think that first time practitioners will find great material here to get started and continue to find great material as the go over the material over and over again at regular (maybe yearly?) intervals, finding new interesting stuff every time.
FF, will you at some point explain and share why someone would choose to work with Hekate? Her history, why the old time civilizations would turn to her, and her application and personal efforts with a modern individual? A few years ago I felt a strong call from Hekate without being involved in that world much prior, and was first lead to the Jason Miller course that I ended up taking. I feel that there is definitely something to be said about original PGM versus new material such like JM’s. In the end, what I got out of the course is something I cannot describe and it leaves me questioning really, still, what and who is Hekate? I have worked with her for over a year but haven’t had many more than 3 close experiences that still leave me confused.
But here's the big question: does it teach basic devotional practice? It sounds like it covers a lot of ground magically-speaking very well which is great for occultists but I didn't hear much about how to engage with Her devotionally (which is a lot more important than most occultists these days are willing to admit). Now, granted, I would imagine that this would probably be one of the first things learned and maybe not seen as something to highlight in particular in a review but it is a deceptively simple part of the process that is way more crucial than is taught today
You're completely right on all accounts, and yes, I did believe that the presence of the devotional aspect might go without saying, focusing more on pointing out that if you're not so much up for a devotional practice but simply wish to learn about her and the ancient magical context, then that's fine ALSO 😊🙏
@@FoolishFishBooks Cool. Sounds like a pretty cool program then. I just needed to ask about the devotional elements because there is an awful lot of anti-devotional sentiment among occultists these days based in notions that simple acts of piety towards any deity are somehow incredibly dangerous and not for beginners (a sentiment that is historically-speaking just factually untrue and is quite frankly dangerous in and of itself). Now, granted, there are some (a small number) of deities that need to be approached with caution because of how They operate (a good example would be some of the Petro Loa in Haitian Vodou). But the idea that pouring a glass of wine in honor of Zeus and saying "Thank you!" is somehow going to "destroy your life" as one person I saw put it is just a tremendous overcorrection in the attempt to prevent a problem that really only the most foolhardy (and quite frankly immature) are ever going to encounter. The kinds of problems these people talk about just don't happen to people that show basic respect, practice due diligence in research, and utilize just a pinch of common sense.
@@WildMen4444 oh i completely get that. I've also seen some pretty dumb attitudes based on fear and a misunderstanding of what is actually the potential source of problems. No. I can safely say that Jack is VERY comfortable with devotion, and the devotional aspect is extensively covered in the course.
I offer 1-to-1 video chats, though I'm afraid they're not the cheapest thing in the world... If I had more time on my hands I'd make them cheaper, however at least this way people who really want it have the option :) foolishfish.simplybook.it/
It’s like opening up Hekate’s master key and deciphering the symbols found there, & then extrapolating it in to a language we can all understand, that is we can both apply to our individual practices, and that is conducive for the modern occult world in general. Thank you Foolish Fish for sharing your experiences with this book and course X 👏🏻🙌🏻😈🥰❤️🫶🏻✨💎✨

Thanks so much I can’t wait!
roughly how much time per week?
about 1.5 - 2 hours (plus your own practice)
@@FoolishFishBooks thanks. I’m going to do it.
This was the best course ive ever taken on line BAR NONE
When you say „the course is for anyone“, would that include first-time practitioners as well? I have been looking for something practical for ages now and still haven’t found the right fit 😔
I think that first time practitioners will find great material here to get started and continue to find great material as the go over the material over and over again at regular (maybe yearly?) intervals, finding new interesting stuff every time.
You need to do more videos with your face. You’re a good looking guy.
Heh! You're very kind 😅🙏
Is the methods the same methods in the hekataeon ?
This is it's own thing.
This course is focused on answering this very question.
Can we chat, you obviously know our subject, I look forward to hearing from you x
I offer 1-to-1 video chats, though I'm afraid they're not the cheapest thing in the world... If I had more time on my hands I'd make them cheaper, however at least this way people who really want it have the option :)

I'm sure Jason Miller would have something to say..
Beautifully put, @Benedicta! 🙏
