I got one of these a few days back in a trade and its still blowing my mind. Im no super shredder but iv spoiled myself with a decent collection and need somthing decent to play my best. I can 100% play my best on this. Lol i told my amateur luthier friend about it and he legit got mad at me saying he cant compete "those chinese factories and their free shipping." I was like you gotta pay a fat import tax and these are from Indonesia dude... i haven't heard from him since. These are the real deal. I got a couple warmoth(spec'd to the 9s), a bc rich mockingbird legacy ST, an ibanez AZ242f, and a carvin dc400. This thing 100% hangs with those. All it needs is some new PUs. They clean up alright, but definitely shine with classic/hard rock. Once you drive em to metal territory they mud up. Sheer mud butt...its still absolutely insane. Dont be suprised if you hear about a bunch of luthiers wanting to "see what Indonesia is like" and next thing you know the factory burned down...
😁 With these Roswell PUs: I'd set them very low, so that it's about 7 mm in between the Strings and the PU. Then crank the gain in the amp. With my my high gain settings that work great. 😉
@@DanielKraemerMusic lol yeah i think you mean .7cm... right now both the buckers are right .4-.5 and the single coil is crooked. Lol do you set them all like that?
@@DanielKraemerMusic im no super shredder like i said in my long rant, but i do have some decent stuff. I have 3 S. Duncan equipped guitars...( Duncan custom/aph-1n, dave murray pickgaurd - 2 mini hotrail HBs flanking a JB jr, HH hyperion set) a guitar with dimarzio D-activators, and my carvin with its classic C22s. I think it may be worth mentioning that im uses to great stuff, but i still need to lower mine like you said...im about to!
Hello Daniel, I was wondering, am I imagining or are the non roasted necks are ever so slightly thinner than the roasted necks? Or perhaps it's just coincidence with my 2 guitars? Another question regarding the bridge height, do you loosen the strings and remove the springs when adjusting bridge height? I heard it's not a good idea to adjust under tension. Thank you and much love. Thanks you to I have my Fusions.
Thanks a lot for your message! ☺ My impression is, that with all my Fusions, the ones with the eb fretboard have slightly thinner necks than the roasted ones. And I do adjust the bridge heigt under tension. With strings and springs...🤭 It's not something i would recommend in particular, but i do it and I've never had any problems 😆
@@DanielKraemerMusic Highly appreciate your input, you rock! Anyhow, as I expected, there will be a be a new dillema in the future when purchasing Fusions, because the roasted neck with the roasted head look slightly better/more mature but the non-roasted is thinner and I also prefer the ebony fretboard. It also seems as if the roasted neck may be a bit smoother when gliding on it, but I haven't had any issues with the non-roasted. I'm trying to stop myself from buying another Fusion until Fusion IV comes out but it's too tempting to get one now🤪
Do you prefer the Floyd Rose 1000 over the Wilkinson 50IIK 2-point tremolo? There is currently a nice Fusion III HSH with Wilkinson tremolo and a Fusion III HH with the Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo, both kust for 299 €. The HSH also comes with locking tuners, the HH with something near the nut (I don't know what it is called.) Thanks. :)
Well, I prefer the FR as it has a locking nut. I'm using it quite heavily in some situations...with dive bombs and shit, the g strings can get slightly out of tune with the Wilkinson. But other than that, the Wilkinson is great. Love the single coil as well. I really wish they'd oequipped the HSH with a locking nut....
Hi Daniel. I've a roasted neck version and mine does not stay in tune after the slightest use of the tremolo, not to mention that dive bomb you did. Did you ever experience that on a Wilkinson equipped Fusion and have suggestions to fix it? Thanks!
That's hard to say...Never had that tuning instability problems with the Wilkinson bridge. Did you mount it floating or is it laying on the body? The only thing I'd recommend is stretching the strings a lot, especially with new strings, until they will stay in tune. Other than that, the reason for tuning instability when using the tremolo is probably the nut. At least from my experince. Maybe you can check if the strings going through the nut properly...
@@DanielKraemerMusic Thanks for the reply, Daniel. One thing I noticed after looking into forums is that I didn't fix the saddles properly with the top screw after adjusting intonation. After that it got better (the tuning doesn't go so off as it did before) but still the low E and the G strings mostly don't stay. I will check the nut. Didn't think of it as it is supposed to be a TUSQ nut but seems the last thing. Strings are well streched. Thanks again for the reply!
I just got my fusion today with the Wilkinson bridge and the bridge feels too tight and the trem arm cavity seems to be rubbing against the body. Any suggestions on how to make the bridge more fluid?
Hi Aftab Lateef, I'm sorry to hear that! I didn't have any problems with the Wilkinson bridge so far... Can you send a pic or a video of your bridge in Facebook?
I just received my fusion 3, although everything seems nice, the whammy bar cannot be attached in it's hole. I try to screw it in and it doesn't hold it at all. I think I will send it back. It's a shame.
I had that a couple of times with the Wilkinson trem. There I had to loosen the Hex screw on the back of the brdige. So if you have the Wilkinson bridge, you can try that. Lower the screw on the backside of the bridge (inside of the guitar body). Then you can turn the tremolo arm clockwise a million times, and it should be fixed. 😉🙃
@@DanielKraemerMusic You just saved my guitar from going back! I had it already re-packed and I gave it a last try, by doing what you told me. That's it! Thank you very much for your help!!
Great demonstration and playing. I removed one of the springs from the Wilkinson tremolo and only used 2; it works well.

With the ebony ones do you get a lot with fretboards that are not completely black but have some lighter brownish parts?
All black ebony isn't available anymore. If you do see a new guitar with all black ebony its been dyed... luckily it doesn't affect it in any way.
I want to buy this as my first guitar, is it good for beginners?
This guitar is really good...I'd recommend it to anybody, not only beginners ;-)

Is the finish just a vinyl cover?
It's a veneer.
