Thanks Frankd! Well, it would be best to have the model# off of the compressor, do you see one somewhere on the main decal somewhere? If you don't have a model# we can still find you a replacement Pilot Valve I'm sure. Click on the below link to view the Valves on our website, first:

Does it look like the "RCB-style" Pilot Valve in this video or is it different? Hopefully you can tell which style it is by viewing them on our website at the above link; I'd be glad to help you from there.

thank you for getting back to me the model number on the compressor air compressor specification is TB - 5520 GP

Is it made by "Lofftol or "Emax""? The only match I get on Google anyway is the TB-5520P compressor that does use a Honda GX160 engine. This is the only model I can find that's similar to the model# you gave me (click on the .pdf link below to view it):

If this isn't it, then you can certainly email us a photo of your original Pilot Valve to customerservice@mastertoolrepair.com and we'll do our best to match one up for you.
      Thanks!

thank you for the information very helpful some compressors also have a setting screw on the side that will adjust cable setting that goes to the carburetor so you can set the speed of the engine just thought I'd mention that

This is true, thank you for mentioning this! Depending on the type of Pilot Valve on the unit, you may have this throttle/idle adjustment.

Great, at least you've been able to narrow it down to the basic style of your original. Honestly at this point all you need to do is confirm the PSI settings you need (cut-on pressure and cut-out pressure) and what type of inlet and outlet thread you need. All of the Pilot Valves on that page on our website has this information in the description. Hopefully one matches up with what you need!

If I were to buy a new one do they come pre-adjusted or would I still have to do this adjustment myself?

    • @MasterToolRepair

These Pilot Valves come pre-adjusted, or rather "pre-set" so you don't have to. You would simply choose the Pilot Valve with the correct pre-set pressures, and install it on the compressor (along with the unloader tube and throttle/idle control).
