    What cracks me up is him talking about how a properly sharpened knife wont hold an edge, when in reality its the exact opposite. Watch outdoors55 when he properly sharpens a dollar store knife and cuts a 2x4 for 10 minutes and it still cuts paper afterward. This thing creates a jagged burr that will cut things but as soon as you run it through something beside paper it will fold over and its dull again. Not to mention the horizontal scratch pattern on the bevel, eliminating the teeth that form at the apex through actual sharpening with a stone. I would put money down that a knife sharpened on a stone to 1k grit and stropped would outcut the same knife "sharpened" by this thing. Im talking sharpness and longevity of said sharpness.

    • @bradbuckner9496
      @bradbuckner9496 6 месяцев назад

      Yeah. Rubbing the heel of the bevel on the wood and not the apex. What a fraud. And you R just dumb.

    • @Bubbachichi
      @Bubbachichi 2 месяца назад

      I said this exact same thing on one of his shorts and he just replied "Wrong." and called me and other commenters calling him out ignorant. Also not to mention the fact that a two pack of those is 60 dollars, which would be the same price as a worksharp guided field sharpener, which has diamond plates, ceramic rods, and a leather strop. I 1000% percent agree with you here, this guy is in it for the money, not the community.

      @@doransponsel4813 I own one of those. It's crap. I thought that maybe it was good when on the field for a quick touch up, well not even there. Take a mini stone like a fallkniven dc3 or dc4 or any other combo stone and it's as fast and creates an actual correct sharpening+honing
      Basically this thing is a V sharperner + a butchers steel . Nothing more.

    The outdoor55 guy just showed how an edge so 11:20 sharp will hold edge longer. Perfect bevel edge, burr removed . This guy has sharp knives but they have a burr and thus will need honing more frequently. He also has a small serrated blade via his pull through. His knives are sharp, but need frequent reshaping/maintenance and knives will not last as long. His boomer ego comes out at end when he starts talking sissy. Pull through sharpeners are quick and dirty sharp, you use them more frequently and knife blade does not last as long. Save yourself the marketing person up-charge and have your angle maintained with an Amazon made in China pull through. Also if you like pull through ease, buy cheaper no name stamped blade knives and cut away, just be ready for frequent resharpening.

      I've seen a number of your comments and they usually say something about boomer this or boomer that. So you dislike someone because of when they were born? How old they are? Do you also dislike people for other things they can't control, like their skin color or being handicapped? If you don't like these sharpeners for your zombie apocalypse blades and mall ninja katana that's ok. You don't have to post comment after comment hating on the guy.
      I've been sharpening knives, axes and hatchets since I was a little kid growing up on a farm butchering, hunting, bailing and splitting wood. I definitely kept my knives sharp in the Marines and didn't carry around wet stones or other contraptions at the time. These sharpeners would of been ideal to hand out to everybody on our deployments.
