You are the Efficiency Expert of fragrances! I have grown so tired of sitting through 15-40 minute videos where maybe a dozen perfumes are evaluated. Typically, I'd need to sit through the sniffing, moaning, eye-rolling, then some adjectives, then more sniffing and moaning, a few more superlatives, giggles and a few more repeat adjectives to finish. I love Moresque “Lady Tubereuse” it is an Amber Floral with the holy trinity blended to perfection with an Amber base. Also intoxicating. Great list of your favourites.
I am on the hunt for Levant now! I’ve added a ton of heavier fall/winter fragrances and now need to shift to fresher florals for spring. It doesn’t stay cold for too long in Los Angeles!

Glossier You is so so good! I mix it with a Slow Burn from a small niche house of the same name. SB is all the cashmere and really works with the peppery You.

I think Red roses from jo Malone is very underrated parfum and it’s ok with me because I smell so unique and beautiful. The trail of red roses is very beautiful, feminine and pure fresh rose, I smell so good!!!

I just opened Ormond Jayne "Lavant". I ordered from Europe before I saw this video and I it is my favorite fragrance in my collection. I love it as much or maybe more than Armani Rouge Malachite, Musc Noir , Gris Dior and BDK Gris Charnel. I
want to try Glossier "YOU" because you made it sound so great. I do think Lavant is similar to Fleur Narcotique by Exnihlo, but Lavant is stronger. Thank you for your videos!! Baby Cat is hard to find in New York and Paradise Riviera is very sold out.

Great video as always. Been trying to see if you’ve reviewed the Chloe rose intense naturelle as we both loved the other naturelle. It got me thinking it could be a great idea if you ever get time to do some videos on specific fragrance notes. I’m really trying to find the perfect gardenia fragrance and fig. I heard of the usual suspects for both but would love your commentary to really help imagine the scent profile. Thankyou for all your videos, you’re doing a great job 😊
My favoutites for winter are Gris Charnel and Poirier d’un Soir, summer Hibiscus Palm and I also love Ex Nihilos In paradise Riviera, Blanc Polychrom. All year round Nuda Veritas. I also enjoy lately Memo’s African leather and Sherwood. I usually enjoy fresh florals a lot. I’d like to test Delina la rosee and valaya. I think I ‘m starting to fall in love with London and Zanzibar from MOAPC.

I bought Scherzo blinbly after your videos and I'm absolutely OBSESSED with it. It is seriously SO SO GOOD. I need to be careful because I only got the 14ml. But girl I'm absolutely in love with this perfume and I'm getting the 100ml as soon as I can afford it. There is really nothing like it.
I finally have a decent of Babycat. It is very good. Leather at first and it resembles That #5 perfume- Rosendo. But then it changes and the vanilla peaks through and a sweet, subtle touch of incense which is very much more subtle than that in Encens Suave. After it's on my skin a while it smells curiously like bread dough to me- not in s bad way- I was just surprised. Since I have a nice decant, I will stick with my still-beloved Lune Feline.

For Rouge Malachite, I found a really close dupe that’s actually marketed for men. It’s from a Azerbaijan house called Pilot 65, and the perfume is called Ambitious Pour Homme. It’s really the same as Rouge Malachite at a fraction of the cost.

You seem to like the same notes I do. You had me at peony in the beginning. My favorite flower. Years ago Banana Republic sold a perfume that smelled exactly like peonies. I loved it. My favorites in my collection so far are L’Interdit and Libre Intense.

Alien Fusion (Mugler) smells so much like Rouge Malachite. It is sadly discontinued. Glamour from M.Micallef is also in the same family as Rouge Malachite. They all remind me of Alien with a little bit of green or spice. Very nice.
Thank you for your list! I am the proud owner of Lune Feline, Hibiscus Palm, and Levant solely at your recommendation. They are my top choices. Levant Is wonderful. It is in my top five and everyone compliments me when I wear that fragrance. It isn’t loud, so I was surprised that others noticed it. It is nice to be complimented.

In my opinion these are similar (or have similar vibes) to Rouge Malachite: Marfa Memo, YSL Supreme Bouquet, Oros by Armaf. My personal favorite is Oros & I feel it’s the strongest & lasts the longest, which can also be its downfall as it can get a bit headache-inducing & loud, louder than Alien I’d say😂 I don’t think I’m gonna repurchase it, but I like the idea of it 😂 The other 3 are softer & smell more organic 😂 Overall I’d still choose Oros above them. You can always wear less or layer it.
Not sure if maybe somebody mention that already, but i recently tried a Kate Spade New York and I think it is pretty decently close to Rouge Malachite!!!

For similar vibe to rouge malachite, try Elie Saab essence no.9 tuberose. It is very beautiful and underrated.

I tried Scherzo just based on Josephine’s praises of it and I was not let down at all. It’s absolutely one of a kind. Yes it’s a rose frag, but it’s just so much more than that. From initial spray to the dry down the scent is layered and interesting. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it. I can’t wait to try another one of Josephine’s recommendations. ❤️
How strong is the oud in it? I have not found a fragrance with oud in it that I can stand (smells fecal and animalic to me) but as I understand most fragrances are made with the lowest quality oud or some synthetic accords meant to mimic oud.
Musc Noir is beautiful, sexy but approachable. Love it.

I have to admit I was a little sad when you didn’t tell us to spread the fragrant love at the end. 😅 I wish I loved Babycat and Rouge Malachite, but they’re not for me. That’s why it’s so great that there are endless choices! I love Gris Charnel lately, Safanad, Alien Goddess Intense, and Bouquet Encore. I hope to add L’eau D’Hiver soon. I also bought several others over the holidays to enjoy, and my collection is growing! Ack!
I don't get good enough performance from original GC for winter wear, I actually wear it on hotter summer days. I think that Amouage attar was 12ml, but might've been 10ml too - really don't remember.
I'm another Rouge Malachite addict, waiting for the next best thing to take me over. Maybe YSL Babycat (haven't had the chance to smell it yet..)
P.S. Gris Charnel is utterly unique, but it smells fresh on me (and in the Baltics where I live we have too much cold already as it is :D)

Myth -ultimate light, clean girl scent. Kinda reminds me of biolage hair products.
Salt - Salty beachy floral
West - bright citrus with a very cool basil note. Slighlt sweet but leans unisex
7 Virtues (all made with essential oils)
Blackberry Lily- Blackberry with caramel and patchouli. This reminds me of a black berry version of Miss Dior edt
Patchouli Citrus-Bright peony and citrus fruit-chouli. Based on seeing your favorites, you'd like this I think
Good Chemistry
Sugar Berry- pretty much a slighly raspberry version of Pink Sugar. Almost an exact dupe
Magnolia Violet-This smells like a more Violet version of Daisy by Mac Jacobs

Suprême bouquet (le vestiaire des parfums) by YSL (by Dominique Ropion) has similar notes to those of rouge malachite (red pepper, Ylang Ylang tuberosa and amber).I think it is the closest one can get to rouge malachite :)

Although I don't have Rouge malachite, according to Fragrantica and because I have both (which in my opinion are very similar) I strongely recomend you Woman Intense from Ralph Lauren. I think it has been discontinued but maybe you can find it online. It is one of my favourites from around 300 perfumes in my collection. I hope you can get it, I think you would love it.

I love several of these, particularly Levant and NR Musc Noir, heavenly! I sampled scherzo and unfortunately didn’t work. On my skin it’s very dry and strong - almost smells like corn chips? Lol I’m not sure which ingredient but it was off putting. I’d say sample before you buy on that one, ladies.

I’ve smelled flament rose merchant of Venice remind me a little of Rouge Malachite not that it is similar but it got a hint of that malachite vibe.
If you love rouge malachite, try Ysl supreme bouquet.

I bought 2 samples from Ormonde Jayne based on your recommendations: Ta'if and Tanger. I have certainly smelled hundreds of perfumes in my life, but these 2 took my breath away. As you spoke about Rouge Malachite as the creamiest white florals, for me Ta'if is the creamiest rose I have ever smelled. And of course, Tanger resembling BR 540, but probably even better. I really must explore Ormonde Jayne more...
I also have Aerin based on your recommendation. Hibiscus Palm is fine, but I think I reached for the Mediterranean Honeysuckle more. And Amber Musc is a dream, I am scared to spray it.
Have you tried Isnard Fleur de Grasse? It is a beautiful clean jasmine with green tea note. Armani Prive Vert Malachite is also a very pretty green vanilla jasmine.
From white florals mixture I like Oud Jaune Intense, but I know it is a bit heavy.
P. S. M. Micallef Royal Muska is another musc fragrance which melts me 🤪

Honestly, I have both PDM Rosee and Original, the rosee mellows to a scent exactly like Chloe Rose, whilst the Orig dies down to Lancome La vie est belle. If u are looking for cheap alternatives go for those. I am still searching for my unique scent… 😢

I have not smelled Rouge Malachite, but somehow in the way you are describing it, it reminds me of Deep Red by Hugo Boss? And I feel like Hypnotic Poison and Pure Poison Elixir also fit the bill? I feel like these are very underrated because they are under the shadow of the original Poison, so people tend not to try them at all :p

You’ll have to try Vanagloria as Babycat is being discontinued. Both created by Dominique Ropion. He actually created Vanagloria first and they smell pretty similar but Vanagloria is softer and has more vanilla.

@@ladyYeniel all the European stores are out of stock. People have shared sales associated told them it’s discontinued and screenshots with ysl customer service saying it’s been discontinued. Some people think maybe it’s going to be reformulated since this has happened before with another one from the line.

I had heard this too, and also heard how similar Vanagloria was to BC.
I bought it and they really are incredibly similar. I have a 10ml decant of Babycat so I sprayed it on one wrist, and my new Vanagloria on the other. I prefer the opening of Vanagloria because it’s not as intensely leathery as BC, but I slightly prefer the dry down of BC because it’s a little more incensy.
However….go buy Vanagloria, it’s ‘almost’ identical and you definitely won’t be disappointed. ❤
