I would never wish this on my worst enemy! That was my moms house. It was hot, it was scary and it was sooooo lightning fast. As much as I panicked, Gods hand was on my shoulder. The first thing I did right was close the door where the origin was, basically containing the flames to my Office/"Man Cave", the second thing I did right was shut our kitchen door. This prevented the 1500+ degree super-heated smoke funneling up our back staircase at incredible speed of entering our 1st floor flat. The upstairs tenants had a quite different outcome. They left their back door open, well, you figure out the rest.... Jimmy
This may be the first time I have seen a department on you tube be aggressive and put a fire out. Most times I see a foundation when the firemen leave. Good job boys.
That's a huge house... If the guys hadn't knocked it down so fast, there'd have been a real fight on thier hands. It looks barbaric when they do all the smashing and cutting, but it sometimes makes a big difference in the outcome.
