I hate this for Florida and all the people affected with these storms. I just got back to Ga from Asheville. I spent Friday and Saturday helping clear roads and cleanup so new temporary roads can be built. It’s horrible up there. Wishing you all in the path safety and good luck.
Appreciate your selfless act. For all we know, Helene could have park itself over GA and ravage the state. I'm sure the good people of NC will come to your aid during bad times just as you did for NC.
@@troyounce7935 Thanksfor your service!
What did the most damage, flooding or wind?
@@christheghostwriter flooding without a doubt, rivers washed away entire towns
Asheville, Spartanburg, and Greenville never get it this bad. It just goes to chow global warming is not fake. I hope they have a speedy recovery.
I've been a weather centric guy for 50+ years, and Brian Norcross is simply the best. Period. Thanks, Brian.
He's a bafoon that is a liar concerning the government corporation weather control for dummies!!
I remember you Brian, the only weatherman that encouraged us to prepare for Andrew….good to see you are still at it-thankyou
Exactly!
This is fake news. There is no storm. All of this is to divert from the rigged elections.
Yes especially those who lived Down south I'll never forget COUNTRY WALK 152ST 152AVE..
This man is a weather genius! He save many lives during hurricane 🌀 Andrew in 1992 OK❤️
I agree 💯. My husband and I lived through it.
Same, lived through the eye. It was horrifying! Total devastation.
@Billo1281 Dang, I wish I could have been in it. I'm in Tampa now, so hopefully, I can experience this one!
@@snowynights8795 Would not wish for that. Especially if on the coast. You will lose everything.
my father was the first human to take off in an aircraft after Andrew, Tamiami airport was hit hard and my dad was Metro aviation, he cried as he flew over the destruction and I have many photos from the air of the destruction, he told me that the media was flat out lying of the number of deaths, I was 17 then. He saw bodies in homestead all over the place. they are lying to us now too
The best hurricane specialist I know! So grateful to have found you - will always have a special place in our hearts here in So -flo!
The MOST soothing voice in spite of what is coming up for Florida!
Here in Fort Lauderdale we wait to see if it moves south to affect us..still get wind and rain regardless..
@@thedbcooperforum exactly!! I don't know why I feel like this going to shift further south than anticipated.
@@THEREALQUEENLEYA we can only wait..I'm setting up my generator now preparing the lawn etc..

Bryan Norcross is amazing in providing the public with weather information and educating us at the same time. Many folks are grateful for his guidance during hurricane Andrew!
Appreciate you and your knowledge Mr. Norcross. Will never forget how you helped us during Andrew, thank you for all you do!
I grew up watching Brian Norcross. I trust whatever he says.
Thankfully we still have NOAA in 2024.
Project 2025 will kill it, because "science is ungodly and bad." Stay tuned.
I like how he explained that. What's going to happen if they get rid of NOAA like they want to? I guess we just won't know until it's too late to evacuate?
I remember Brian N from hurricana Andrew. A soothing informative voice, no panic hysteria
Milton has increased quickly since Brian's 11am report. Went from 65mph sustained winds up to an 80mph Category 1 hurricane in just a few hours. Slow down there, Milton old boy!
Love love this guy.I watched you during andrew.actually listened to you.Stay safe and appreciate all the updates.
He is awesome!
I was stuck working in the hospital in Dade 24/7 before, during and after Andrew. This man is a treasure.
Same here, during Andrew in Cutler Ridge he was our voice of information.
Me too ! He was such a great help during Andrew, Love you Brian stay safe
Thanks for the update.
Having experienced Hurricane Andrew with Brian, he was the voice of reason in south Florida at the time. God Bless him.
You a relative?
Excellent info. Thanks.
Thank you Bryan, for the comprehensive update! You are the best national metrologist when it comes to this type of storm. Thank you for your dedication, hard work and time to keep us all safe as we can be. The rest is up to God!🙏 So thank you again, God bless you and yours!
I would like to also call attention to mentioning Mike Buresh, our local number one in the country meteorologist!! Action News Jax! 🙏🇺🇸🙏✝️
Sincerely, Roberta Michelle Anthes, Jacksonville Florida
Thank You for all your news. I depend on you 100%
Bryan is unquestionably the best in the business. He has made his life’s work understanding hurricane behavior. He has always shown the conscientious attention to explaining weather behavior and conveying it to the lay public without the unnecessary drama. He was mentored by the ‘greats’ at the NHC back when he was a very young man. That dedication saved lives and property by urging preparedness in South Florida when we got a direct hit by Cat 5 Andrew. Can never fully express the respect and gratitude for being our ‘voice in the dark’ on that terrifying night.
Bryan is the best. He answers any questions you have. He got south Florida through Hurricane Andrew years back stayed with us all night! 🙏👍
Wish fox news had the same quality as fox weather!
I wish NBC ,MSNBC and CNN at least told 10% of the truth😂😂😂😂😂😂🫵🏼🤡
@@AmericanMade-tp6wd what is a news source you can recommend?

@@AmericanMade-tp6wd I know man. He won by A LOT! 🤡
😴 I'm sure Russian and Chinese propaganda are what @AmericanMade-tp6wd got his news from. These losers hate US uniting and like the idea of Americans caught in natural disasters.
Stay Safe 🌀🙏
Simply the best for last 30 plus years. Fox should value this professional.
Thanks you for sharing with us
Wow...great work from a true tropical wx legend. Will never forget being a kid in S Fla and his geting us therough ANDREW when he still worked as a local Miami TV met.
Brian PLEASE explain in all of your updates not to just pay attention to the twirly thing or just the cone - for over 20 years and up to yesterday - I cannot believe how many people think just the center of circulation is the hurricane - Please explain that sometimes outside the center can be more dangerous - look at HELENE! I feel like this is not explained enough because everyone only shows the cone and the red twirly!!! I cannot tell you how many people don't understand how vast a hurricane is - Helene was 400 miles at one point! That is how many miles it is from areas hit in TN to Tallahassee!!! This is important! Thank you - I have been watching you since Andrew! You are the best!
Neil Frank Award, Peabody Award, Emmy Award, and more, awarded to Bryan Norcross. Such a legend!
Good news/bad news--he's about to earn another one. Love you, man.
Bryan's appearance on the Weatherbrains podcast gave me even more respect for his forecasts; he is a calming force in the chaos that can be tropical weather.
Thank you Brian for keeping us safe in Andrew 1992 and again in 2024!
Thanks Bryan....
I met you back in the 90s in Miama!
You are the best Brian. Greeting from South Florida.
I want to know when the meteorologist are going to start talking about the government cloud seeding?!? I just saw a video from a woman in North Carolina after Helene they couldn’t get help, but they sure were cloud seeding right behind her in the video. Wake up people the government is making this happen! There’s a special place for the meteorologist that are talking about it and informing the public!!
If Milton hits the southern third of the cone, it will be similar to Wilma, 2005. We were surprised that it crossed the peninsula and remained a 3 through its exit in south Florida. In southern palm beach county we were without power for 14 days. Crossing the bottom of the peninsula doesn’t slow it down because it’s not only flat, but very wet swamps with very warm water. Be ready.
Yep. Wilma was scary for sure. Hunkered in room with my dog for 6 hours. October 24. Lost power for week. Weather temp was so cool afterwards. With no light pollution- millions of stars at night
Bryan stayed up all night broadcasting comforting those enduring Andrew-. He is indeed the best
Thanks Brian your the best.
Waves of aircraft. That makes me a little suspicious.
OMG! I just recognized your name from 1992s. That's why you sound so knowledgeable. Now , I remember when over 15 years ago!? Hello from South Florida!!!
He seems so nice and peaceful, really good weatherman 🎉
“Your government”
NOAA is a government agency that keeps us safe during weather events.
The Republicans say they will get rid of it when trump wins.
The devil is negative and the devil is a liar. Believe Jesus...He says; "Peace be still" to storms and they obey Him. If His Spirit lives in our hearts we can speak it with His Authority. God creates with even our very words. Be careful what you call into your life. We will live and not die...Amen. We will dodge a bullet. Amen.
🤪
@@abc456f what does that mean?
CONGRATULATION FROM BRAZIL.❤
Why are these storms moving east from Mexico to Florida. All other storms have started over by Africa and move west.
This guy is fantastic !
Lets all just watch with all these uncertinties . keep calm.
I live in Tampa Bay Florida 🌞🥵 thank you
Can you evacuate?
Our government is gonna do everything they can for you ????? .........I dont think so Bryan
Make sure you vote for the fool that will get rid of the NOAA and FEMA so that residents never stand a chance after the storms.
@@JG22-c5o You mean vote for the candidate who just offered a whopping $750 to devastated families after spending 650 million of FEMA money on housing illegals??
Yah ok stupid
Thank you Bryan like always on point!
OMG GREW UP WITH BRYAN DOING THE WEATHER HERE IN MIAMI!!!! don't know why i'm so excited, but I am !
Me too, in my twenties, met my husband that year, desert storm, first job, and new condo!!!!!!!! Yes, he was the go-to person for updates
Yeah and probably cat 4,, everything's been worse than expected including the heat, summer heat never ends, the weather is become untamed, anything can happen these days
It would be helpful to me if I knew the approximate winds speeds on the north and south sides. Also an hour by hour touchdown onto the coast line.
I live in northeast Tampa, and the last time I checked the track, it was dead center through my neighborhood
Can you evacuate inland at least?
What amazes me as people see this coming for days and they don't get out of the way. great reporting
It's impossible to know what areas will be safe this far out. Many people tried to escape Helene by heading to the mountains...
Thanks for telling us about the government gathering data on the storm. Who will do this when NOAA is eliminated?
Vote Blue!
Weather modification
Finally, pure facts! Some real data meteorology...no click bait, no shock and awe. Please keep them up! Thank you so much for not saying crazy key words. Now if we can just teach the new generations to be down to earth again!
They are getting good with their seeding control and creating these storms!
That tin foil hat is too tight.
It’s damn China!
@@kevinm3751 Ah yes, just like the green lasers from outer space that caused the fires in Lahaina, Hawaii.
Thank you sir
Will you mention that they control these storms hello?
Yeah. It's the shape shifting aliens. 🤪
Bryan, thank you. you have a way of explaining details without mincing words ❤
Lived in Florida for over forty-five years now. The hype around these storms these days is almost nauseating.
They complain about the increasing costs of damage and yet spend more and more on developing the coasts to attract tourists. My first storm was Camille and 55 years later the only thing I've seen get worse is the bill for repairs.
@@wataboutya9310 tell that to people who lost their homes and loved ones. These are dangerous storms even if you haven't been affected.
Im in Sarasota. This one's got our name on it
So there shouldn’t have been “hype” around Helene?
@@JG22-c5o Wouldn't need as much hype if people didn't allow money to make them forget about storms when developing along the coasts and the natural waterways inland. Water follows paths and if you continue to build in those paths there are going to be issues.
That was a really good and in depth discussion of what's going on with Milton.
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the info, Is dade county out of the woods?
Listen…
More like potentially under water
Hurricane category 1 now
Everyone get out of its path! Stay stay alert. Prayers for your safety. ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you, very good breakdown of the whole situation. 🙏
Thank you for this update
Got clobbered by Ian and is little doubt we in SW Florida are snake bit no matter where they say it goes I just expect to go over my home like a magnet. Boarding up and not sticking around to find out.
Excellent presentation 👏 thank you for helping us understand the whole process.
another seeded storm
@@qmaube1 Nancy Palosi was seen flying seeding planes, leather bomber cap and goggles 'n all.
Apparently they spray tinfoil dust around Trump too, from the stratosphere, to prevent his brainwaves from stopping the hurricanes, wildfires, and earthquakes.
So if it’s a 3 and they think it’s a 4 if it’s a 4 than it could be a 5, so all you folks who moved here from California maybe that wasn’t such a great idea!
Explained very well Thanks
Thorough analysis. Thank you.
Government ain’t doing crap
Brian that was amazing explanation. You have a fan 🎉
Bryan is the best!
Yes. We. Know. They should. Evacuate. Any. Way. It's. Sounds. Dob. Bad.
The original forecast that came out Friday pm took this storm well south of Tampa and with TS intensity. Every local forecast update is trending south with less intensity. Latest is Sarasota on south cat 2. I suspect the original will hold. Been in Fl too long to get caught up in the hype.
these are explanations of computer models. 'hype' does NOT apply.
@@stephenmorton8017 I respectfully disagree. There were some forecasters yesterday hyperventilating about a category 5 in the central gulf by Monday. A bit over the top I would say. Besides, if you live in Florida, you should be hurricane, snake bite, bug bite, sinkhole, flash flood, road construction, road rage, traffic crash, ECT, ECT, prepared 24/7 365. The only certainty here is uncertainty. We got more rain after Helene than we did during Helene. As I write this it is raining and the ditches and retentions are full.
The “hype”? Isn’t it smarter to listen and prepare than try to be “right” and a tough guy?
@@JG22-c5o Not a tough guy and always prepared. As the poor folks in the Carolinas, TN, Ga, and VA are finding out, help is slow to arrive when it gets really bad. I had no idea being ready to self rescue made me a tough guy.
We pray peace , we pray that the power behind the storm would bow to the name of Jesus Christ and be still
Brian was the best during Andrew in Miami. Bryan should be director of NHC
Holy CRAP! So much for starting out a slow Hurricane Season!...Then after this Milton bassid, there will be another one...really sux!

Bryan. Well done.
"Hurricanes are considered essential for Earth because they play a vital role in regulating global temperatures by transferring heat from the tropics towards the poles, essentially acting as a natural mechanism to maintain the planet's energy balance; despite their destructive potential, they are a necessary part of Earth's climate system"
everything is necessary when it comes from nature. That it is not always safe or convenient for human beings, it is another thing.
@@vaderladyl The point I was making is don't hate hurricanes, it could actually be much worse!
@@clausbohm9807 I never said I hate them. I am pointing out the reality of nature's decisions.
When will the radar waves, silver nitrate, aluminum and barium kick in?

GET THE PEOPLE OUT NOW.
Thanks for the analysis, Brian. You covered a lot of ground on all the variables, and I'd say you did an impressive job.
But some of the commenters though...................sheesh.
This trending, of the track shifting southerly seems like an early sign of good news that could be in store for the Tampa Bay Area. The tracking at the point that this storm approaches landfall, apparently is going to be influenced by strong shear and dry air putting pressure on it from the north, possibly weakening it and also steering it more in a southerly direction. Still a lot of other factors that could change where it comes ashore, and which populations will receive the really bad surge.
I've never seen a hurricane grow out of the Gulf like this and now there's two in two weeks?

We filling some strong winds here newport richey and weather havent got started with some drizzle rain and sky darkenin

I first remember watching this dude during hurricane andrew in '92. I was like 9 almost 10... The fact that 32 years has gone by makes my head 🤯😭💀😂🤪
I'm at north fort myers right now were in zone C but that would probably change the days after
The best weather reporting I've heard so far, a lot of wanna-be's on the internet - but then Bryan Norcross has been doing this for many, many years.
You know I want to say we have to take these storms serious. I did not prepare for Irma until last minute. Surely we get hit my roof damage .
I seldom see a hurricane in the Gulf form so far to the west and move almost due east. That being said, I hate to see Florida get hit again and will be praying for all in it's path but I hope it don't turn north - northeast. Yeah, I'm in Louisiana.
This hurricane may change its trajectory just sounding optimistic. Be safe everyone.
Milton is going to be a hurricane 🌀 this week that it could get some major landfall at Florida 🇺🇸.
