Unfortunate part of living in Florida ! When I was younger west palm beach got hit by 3 hurricanes in the same month ! It was insane
We pray for the safety of all residents in Florida. Also, want to thank Govenor DeSantes and his entire storm emergency team.
I live in GA and we already have our national guard and power companies have 90% of their trucks and crews ready to go--do not count on bumblin or kommiella harris to help--went thru helene and re4covered and not one person I know that was really affected by helene knows where to even apply for that measely 750 dollars she is so proud of.

Historically it’s not uncommon as it seems. According to weather.gov and only looking at Louisiana and Texas coastlines:
“Of the tropical cyclones that have affected the designated area in Louisiana and Texas, 38 originated in the Gulf of Mexico, 16 in the Caribbean Sea, 15 in the Atlantic, and 2 in the East Pacific Ocean. The earliest storm to arrive in the region was on May 30th in 1959 (Arlene) and the latest storm affected the area on October 28th (Juan) since 1886.”
They also went to state that:
“Each year, an average of ten tropical storms develop over the Atlantic Ocean, Carribean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico. Many of these remain over the ocean. Six of these storms become hurricanes each year. In an average 3-year period, roughly five hurricanes strike the United States coastline, killing approximately 50 to 100 people anywhere from Texas to Maine. Of these, two are typically major hurricanes (winds greater than 110 mph).”

I'm in Florida and the area I am in was not impacted by Helene and it shouldn't be impacted by Milton, either. Atlanta got hit harder by Helene than my Florida suburb did.

Florida Huh, isn't that a republican state what a coincedence! First Hurricane Helena in North Carolina and now a Hurricane in Florida, does not look suspicous at all! There is something called HAARP by the way, which can cause alot of damage.
