I really want to see Sorkin write a West Wing style show where Stalin defeats all his opponents using facts and turning their logic against them in epic arguments
Cringe and moral disgust are different, but Sorkin finds a way. I only learned from this podcast that the list of casualties included Vietnamese soldiers as well. It was a tribute to the fallen on both sides. Now, the fact that Sorkin made it the climax of the movie means there's no way he didn't know about the original. He chose to omit the people we were exterminating. Considering that this was some of his better work, and you can really tell he's going out of his way to try and be fair to, and adopt the perspective of, radicals, who knows. He tries, but he just can't wrap his liberal mind around, uh. Anything that conflicts with his worldview. Sorkin turning this story into a celebration of liberal institutions is genuinely profane. Amber's claim that there were no political victories in the 60s only makes sense if you forget black people exist. But. It's hard to get mad at Amber and other Marxists for having contempt for the New Left, considering the only reason opposition to Vietnam ever got as intense as it did was the draft. Though maybe that's overstated, too. To my knowledge, the largest protests in human history are still the ones that the Iraq War drew. Millions turned out worldwide.

It always genuinely astounded me that two Hollywood guys, admittedly not sound specialists but they've been around show business forever, could produce a podcast with such poor audio. Either one of them is inaudible or the other is blowing out your ears.
If only Michael Bay was available to make this movie, it could have been fucking legendary. Sorkin couldn’t have made this movie more nauseating if it was shot using nothing but constantly shifting Dutch angles.
We really don't know if the leftist movement of the current time is going to make any difference either. Hasn't so far. (Eastern mysticism does not lobotimize one's politics. I believe money usually does.) BTW, I think Sorkin screwed this up too.
It's legit hilarious to me that the type of morons that fall all over themselves to cry sexism anytime you critique a woman are in fact being quite regressive in they cant imagine anyone would ever respect them as an equal and gender had nothing to do with it. Try to be less close-minded, work on yourself.
Is there like a contingent of this audience that hate watches the pod? But like they don’t hate watch the podcast in general, they just hate watch amber? It seems like a trend to me
I'm going to guess that the self described "bad extemporaneous speaker" means that it is clear that focus on media events as a cayalist, even by a genius at it like Abbie Hoffman, was demonstrably ineffective considering current conditions. Shes a big "working class movement" woman. How far did the 7 move the needle over time? They were noble, but they didn't work.

A sorkin movie about the Tito-Stalin split

She's got some Nazbol leanings but to be fair the system stopped at Civil Rights. It was symbolic like Malcom X said.
now I want to see a cartoon where Aaron Sorkin is put on trial by the Chapo Boys
Matt and Felix as prosecutors, Will as Judge, Jeff Jacobi as defense attorney.
"The Devil and Aaron Sorkin"

So you're going to do a Charlie Wilson's War episode right?
Please.
Man, west wing thing is brilliant. I have been binging all the guest star episodes.
I'm just starting from the beginning. It took two episodes for Sorkin to get psychotically pro-war, and to reveal his deep-rooted 50s-style sexism.

Back in the '80s, HBO made a movie about the trial of the Chicago 8 which is much, much better.
Kramer Vs a reluctant Kramer
For the love of god, get Josh Olson a better mic and put a compressor on him. I've tried listening to the West Wing thing and he is fucking inaudible.

volume equalization can be a life saver
Like at times they go into sub audio frequencies and then piercing screeching howling that perforate your eardrums. There's no volume control

Thinking of Mark Strong. Too many Strongs in Hollywood.
he has a definite RADA vibe tbf
Why does Amber constantly interrupt people?
Because will keeps interrupting her
Its a podcast lmao.

Chapo is the media dipshit
Actually Chicago 7 was a well-acted pretty harmless court drama but usually his political films are bad.
I didn't even know Jeremy Strong was in this until I heard them mention him, which shows how incredibly he was acting.
I dunno, rewriting history is pretty bad
“Quote, Russian Jews suffering under the communist regime.”
Jesus Christ, Amber going full fucking tankie. 🤦🏻♂️
Tbf it's the ADL. They want to destroy any threat to capitalism and Israel.
Poe's law unfortunately
