Robyn saying they the children weren’t excited enough for the first baby announcement is the most irritating narrative she was able to perpetuate imo. He had a pretty normal reaction for a teenager who lived through poverty in a large family and just got ripped from his hometown and friends and had absolutely no say in the matter. Expecting teenagers to have adult-level empathy when their brains aren’t fully cooked makes zero sense and is such an unfair expectation to put on them. 29:58

Robyn takes, takes, and takes from the family and then demands people treat her like a princess. She is so entitled. From the beginning, Robyn consistently isolated herself & her kids from the larger family. We saw her reject Christine's offers to parent with her. In recent seasons, we saw how Robyn *never* contacted Meri - no texting, no visits - but Robyn sure put on a show about wanting Meri to "hang on" with her.
Princess Robyn needs to learn the world does not revolve around her. What you put into relationships is what you get out of them. And that explains why Kody and Robyn destroyed this family.

The divorce was not for the kids. It was so Robyn could get assets and get rid of Meri. The kid thing was an excuse. That's why Robyn wanted to have another ceremony.

I think Christine was struggling so much with jealousy because she had such a strong belief that polygamy could work and everyone be happy and equal in it. When her reality didn’t meet her expectations, it crushed her.

Later on, we find out that Kody had not been intimate with Meri for a few years by the time she got involved with the catfish.
I think he was willing to act like they had a functional marriage in front of the cameras. He changed his tune once the catfish leaked photos, voice messages and details about the relationship with Meri.
It was a huge blow to Kody's ego. He said that Meri planned to leave him for a man who was "better looking" and "richer".

Also, just so you know, it’s pronounced “TELL-all (as if it was one word).” Not “tell ALL.” Bc nobody would EVER tell ALL. 🙈🙉🙊😉 Love listening and watching you guys . . . About the church name, a documentary on the Centennial Park group from 2013 showed a baptismal service and they used The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when they laid hands on and confirmed the children after. I wondered about this for years!

I had a few experiences with observing a name and a blessing being given to older children in the mainstream LDS Church. First when I converted in my 20s I had 2 sons at the time who were an infant and a toddler. They were not immediately given this blessing, but about 2 years later our home teacher did. At the time of my baptism I was in the middle of a divorce from their dad. He was very much against any church belief in Jesus, so this blessing was not given until well after the divorce was finalized and I had full custody. I also remember another convert family in the same ward that the father gave a name a blessing to each of his children after he and his wife were baptized and confirmed. The children were ages 4 to 16 at the time. The kids old enough to be baptized were baptized later than their parents after they had been in primary and young women's ( respective to their ages ) and had "gained a testimony of their own", which was within about 3 to 10 months, with the teenage daughter being the last. This was the parents idea to allow the children time to decide for themselves when they were ready to be baptized and not to allow them to be pressured to get baptized at the same time as the parents just because the parents chose it. The parents led the way rather than forcing it. Sadly the teen daughter was made to have weekly worthiness interviews with a bishop who was very creepy and I do believe that was part of the longer delay in her baptism. He often made her abstain from Sacrament and would reference " youth being too impure and unholy to partake " from the pulpit just before the Sacrament was blessed and passed. He would say " before we Bless and pass the Sacrament let me just say to certain members of our youth, you know who you are, let me remind you that you are to remain in the sanctuary and not partake of the sacrament because of your unpure and unholy sinful ways, and let it be an example and a reminder to all that we must keep our covenants and obey the law of chastity". I wàs this family's visiting teacher and this teen girl was dating a boy from outside the church who she has been dating for close to a year. They were known to kiss. Her dad was very strict and they were always chaperoned but after she turned 16 and prior to the family taking discussions the dad had allowed the boyfriend to give his daughter a goodbye peck after a date. The bishop didn't allow this girl to be baptized until after she agreed to not date this boy anymore. I thought him terribly unfair in his treatment of this girl and looking back much of what he did as a Bishop "went on my shelf", especially how he treated her. I was still new to the church and had moved to this ward about 2 months after being baptized myself so I had no point of reference to know if this was normal. Looking back I wonder if I would have joined if I had witnessed this Bishop's behavior on my first visit to an LDS service. I can't say for sure what I would have done. I would certainly have asked questions about it, but don't know if the missionaries or someone else would have given me a satisfactory explanation I could accept or not.
In the same ward there was also a family that adopted a child through LDS social services. She was around 5 at the time and her adoptive father did give her a name and blessing. She had come from an LDS home born " in the covenant" but now she was in this new family with a new last name, so she was given a name and blessing. In her case and in the case of another family that adopted a baby. The name and blessing was given when the child was placed in the home, but they had to wait until the adoption was finalized ( 6 months later according to state law ) before they could go to the temple to have the child sealed to them. I have lived in 4 states ( in the south and north east, where Mormonism is very uncommon and most people and churches would call it a cult, and to my understanding some practices in the church are very different from Utah and the surrounding states ) Later as an LDS and in a different state I saw one other convert family give a name and blessing to older children, but it was only to the ones too young to be baptized with the rest of the family at the time of their conversion. I know that the parents who did this ( and especially the Dad's using their new priesthood authority) felt a very strong need to do this and in so doing include all their children in the new faith of their family. They also had a strong sense of pride in this being their way to publicly introduce the ward members to their children and express a sense of who each child was spiritually.
I specifically recall the father of the teen girl saying what a "good, modest and obedient spirit she was and had always been" and instructing her to "always continue to follow the promptings and moral compass Heavenly Father had instilled in her from birth" It's honestly the only name and blessing I remember the words so well because I was happy this dad had said it in the way of telling the congregation his daughter was a good girl, no matter what the bishop said. I was proud of him for doing that. I know it took courage and you could see on the Bishop's face he knew it was to combat his shaming of this girl and he didn't like it. The Bishop was also not one of the men invited to participate in this blessing or that of any of the kids in that family. Surprisingly ( to me anyway) this entire family still remain TBM 30 years later, all 5 kids have temple marriages to kids from the same ward. Most astonishingly the teen girl is sealed to that Bishop's son, who I might add is a very kind and caring man and not at all creepy like his parents were. He was always different than them. The 2 married after mission and moved far away. They don't involve his parents in the grand kid's lives, but do involve hers. Something I find quite telling.

5:33 Every broken clock is right twice in 24hrs. So, as weird as it may seem to agree with Cody you have to give him his just due when he is right. Recorded moments of Cody actually being in the right are very few and far between. You can't deny him when is happens, you gotta give it to him, but you don't have to do it cheerfully. If I had to acknowledge it publicly. I would do it as grudgingly as I could without getting myself into trouble, to make it very clear that I do not like having to admit to him, that he's right. As rarely as it is for him to be in the right, I would have to almost choke on every word of admission that I'm wrong, andCody's in the right of way.. 😆 🤣

It was never revealed in the show, but one of your fellow podcaster's interviewed some folks from the AUB specifically about the Browns and in particular Robin. That person revealed a lot including that the catfisher was a set up and she was allegedly an actual friend of a friend of Robin's who asked her to target Meri to knock her off Cody's pedastal after she so generously gave the divorce. Again this was an allegation made by a member of the AUB who had nothing good to say about Robin. She also revealed that at the time of Robin's sons ATV accident that on the show they said he was out of town ATVing with friends and then on the show during the whole divorce scenario they made it sound like it was his Biological father's fault, when in reality he was with Cody when he had the accident. The ER records were somehow leaked showing that. It was just an accident not to blame Cody or anyone, but in the show they bring up the accident being when he was ATVing out of town with others in the context of conversation about his biological dad and why they were so desperate to have Cody adopt the kids so if anything happened to Robin the kids wouldn't go back to their biological father. The interviewee was undeniably pro- biological dad and anti- Robin, so we must question the truthfulness of her allegations, but the ER report explained who was with Dayton so at least that allegation is substantiated with evidence, and the way it is presented on the show repeatedly nearly every season since the accident is intentionally misleading at best.

spoiler alert ... once Kody met Robyn he DUMPED all the other wives .... as we find out in other seasons that is when the real disconnect and favoritism began. The hurried move to Las Vegas, the establishment of separate households, favoring one wife over the others (as an audience we watched it all happen and could not understand why they did not seem to see it themselves). We know now that they played and acted the roles that were written for them to get around the Kody/Robyn marriage being monogamous.

Thank you for your insights! Question?
Before Robin joined the family, they were all in agreement on maintaining and respecting the equalities distributed between each wife. HOWEVER when Robin joined and we now know, they all knew who he truly loved and the iniquities. Such didst resemble in any way how he felt toward janelle christine and Meri.
With your vast experience, How are the Wives supposed to live with this reality? Thank you.

In Meri’s story about catfishing… it will come (out after Meri left Kody). The catfishing was a set up by Robyn & a niece or cousin for that person to contact Meri.. Meri will make several comments in the season 7 that you will watch next about how “Sam”seems to know too much about her. That she wonders if there is a bug in her house. 8:51 it's like Cody wanted to present the best example of a righteous polygamous family as he could for public consumption. I feel like he wanted to be like the "Big Love" family.. He wanted to have the older attractive 1st wife, and the younger super obedient 2nd wife tgat came from a prominent polygamous pioneer background with the super respected name that the mainstream LDS would recognize immediately . And finally the youngest, and probably the most attractive (to Cody) of all the other wives. Making her the perceived, and probably the actual "favorite wife" of all,l three.
Making it look like all of the wives were happy with the newest addition to the family. With all of the wives welcoming Robin and her children with open arms. While they had to watch Robin get everything she wanted,; like Robin getting t5ge biggest house ,and more of Cody's time than everyone else. Also having to watch Cody give more of his time to Robin's kids that he adopted,. While he spent less, and less time with his actual biological kids with his 1st three wives. It wasn't fair to his other wives because Stevie Wonder could see which one is Cody's favorite wife. 😎😂

It’s not like she met him in person and cheated on him. I just think she’s using that as an excuse. I just don’t think he ever really wanted a relationship with Mary. I think he’s just doing all it is and even the sister wives being on TV I think Cody just did that so he could get money my opinion personally, I think he’s a dog.❤

It seemed like the FLDS and LDS churches are able to draw people in on the pretense of the built in community and eternal family which the family is a moot point for me since you are going to be reunited with your family in heaven when your day comes anyway … those of us who are raised in mainstream Christianity aren’t raised to believe there are multiple levels of Heaven we’re raised with the concept of Heaven or Hell 😢❤
