      Hey there! I stumbled upon a new project called the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike and it seems quite intriguing. It features dual modes for both indoor and outdoor use, and the indoor recharge feature is definitely a game-changer. The brushless 750W motor, 80Nm torque, and top speed of 20mph are pretty impressive too. With the Smart Saddle Detection+ feature, it's not just a regular eBike, but also a fitness and technology blend. The ability to convert indoor calories into CO2-free miles for outdoor rides is a fantastic way to make a positive impact on the environment. Overall, the Freebeat Morph eBike seems like a promising and versatile option!

    According to the online stuff, Saris' trainer has a max wattage that is unreachable at the current time. Their max wattage goes up to 2,000 watts and some publications claim the max wattage that tour de france competators on a sprint can hit are 1,500.

    I have a Tacx Flux S and it works well enough for a budget direct drive trainer. My only complaint would be the training floor with it not being able to hold power in bigger gears. Otherwise, solid just works, machine. Upgrade maybe after 22’ season.

    Just moved over from an old Cycleops (Now Saris) trainer to the Tacx Neo 2T. The Tacx is a much quieter trainer, and the road feel is definitely a cool option. Great review of all the trainers though, it seems to me that most serious riders ride either Tacx or Wahoo, and with a negligible price difference now it seems like it just comes down to personal preference. Have you listed your Zwift tag? I’d like to follow you and see what kind of numbers you’re putting up.

    I have the Tacx neo smart first one not 2 series , I love it , space is limited in my house so I can’t leave it set up so it folds up and I put it back in it’s box which tucks away neatly in the corner, thinking of maybe upgrading to the 2t series next , this one (fingers crossed 🤞🏼) is still working away nicely 👍🏻

      Went with the Tacx Flux 2 since it has a heavier flywheel. The only negative I would say for the Tacx Flux 2 is that you'll not be able to get the Wahoo Climb. That looks like a super fun upgrade in the future. Let's hope that Tacx will develop something similar!

    Totally unrelated, I know, but the first time youve reviewed the kickr headwind you showed it in front of the bike. In this video I've noticed its on the side. How well does it work from the side?? I can only use it like that but ive been holding a purchase because I'm afraid the airflow will mostly miss my body. Thanks

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  2 года назад +1

      I have moved it all around but mostly sitting on the side like you see in the video. I don’t have enough clearance in my room to put it in front of me plus it can get blocked by the desk. So you just gonna have to experiment with your setup to see what works best. I also have another fan on the other side and sometimes I have both running. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

    • @PedroPrego
      @PedroPrego 2 года назад

      @@SmartBikeTrainers for me it can only work on the side. What i was asking is your feedback regarding cooling. Does it still work okay in terms of cooling? Or does half of the air gets thrown in a way that does not really hit the rider?

    Hi there. Let's say I want to try zwift but I don't want to commit to a smart trainer. I have basic cyclops fluid trainer if I added a computer to it would I get a decent first experience or should I go to a bike shop to try a direct drive trainer?

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Год назад +1

      If your bike shop can demo it for you with a direct drive trainer that would be ideal and will give you the best experience. Or you can get a Bluetooth speed sensor to connect to the device you use to run Zwift and you should be able to try it out. However there won’t be any interactivity between your Cyclops and Zwift so you won’t feel resistance changes with terrain changes in Zwift.

    This guy is a hack. He just listed a bunch of smart trainers. I have the direto XR and it's trash. It's not smart. The resistance is rarely right and it's been decertified for competition because it's less than 2% accurate

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  2 года назад +3

      The Direto XR is +/-1.5 % claimed accuracy which falls within the +/-2% accuracy claim Zwift has in its racing rules. Sounds like you are confusing it with a different trainer.

    How do these compare to the feeling of riding on rollers? I always hated riding on a trainer but an hour in rollers was easy. I do already have the trutrainer rollers would I best to just add the power flywheel. I just want to connect to swift and do simulation riding.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Год назад

      There will be an adjustment period for you. These trainers are rigid and don’t move much like you do on rollers. For simulation type riding and ERG mode training, I find the trainers to work better than rollers. However, for just riding using level/resistance mode, I think rollers are outstanding. If you decide to add the power wheel, you will get many of the benefits you get with a trainer particularly since you are a custom to riding rollers.

    • @RinerDC
      @RinerDC Год назад

      @@SmartBikeTrainers watching some of your videos. Trying to figure it out. So if I add dual sided speed play pedal to the trutrainer smart roller. I should have no problems with the power output at low speed.
      2. Having said that I’m looking at $1900 for those upgrades. Do you think the kickr rollr is a better option? I could get the dual side package for $1700 I think it was.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Год назад

      @@RinerDC the ROLLR with the powrlink pedals is a solid option and will give you a very close feel to riding rollers without having to worry about balance and you will find erg training to be better as well. Not sure if that helps but let me know if you have any other questions.
