+Bruce McIntyre Each to his own Bruce. Eric is from the Pacific NW. So, seafood is not a big treat for him. And I don't think he wants to spend mucho-bucks eating out. It's hard to find good Mom and Pop cheap places to eat these days.

Hey man. This spring you oughta' head up to Duluth on Lake Superior and see how the big ships come into the heart of America. Then you can cruise on over to the headwaters of the Mississippi River. It's a beautiful spot to visit.

Loved the Hemingway house! I could live in that without any modernisation, old cooker and all! Loved the cats chilling everywhere. I hope they have a program of neutering/spaying to keep the population under control! It can get crowded very quickly! (experience talking lol!)

Years ago, I was in the Bahamas for a week by myself. It was such a romantic and beautiful place, shame not to be able to share the experience. I was surrounded by honeymoon couples, and was feeling mighty lonely. Usually, I prefer to travel alone, however there have been a few exceptions. I could imagine you would have had more fun at Key West if you had some company. Still looks like you're having a great time! Great video, especially seeing Hemmingway's. Safe travels....

BTW, JAX is the call sign for Jacksonville Airport and when flying we just say JAX center, JAX approach or JAX tower, whoever I am talking to. JAX has a very notable name for a notable cat!!!!

Eric, I CAUTION you against walking "JAX" on dry or dead grass area's. There are what is called SAND SPURS all over Fla.. They are small but it's like walking on cactus and they stick to your skin. Sometimes very hard to pull out. Same goes for your walking bare footed. Very painful. Safe travels for both of you. {Previously lived in Fla. for some 20yrs as both a civilian and private citizen as well as the USNavy in Jax}.

Very nice video about old Key West. E. Hemingway had a favorite bar there, too! On Mackinaw Island, Michigan, he used to frequent the Mustang Bar, just off of Main Street. You need to check out Mackinaw Island, I think you will find it fun, also!
Thanks for the tour. Haven't been there since 2005, when my girlfriend "made me" go. I'd have gone anyways, I love cats...and Hemingway was a cool guy, and decent writer (HA!) Nice job getting the cats on vid.

I've never read anything written by Hemingway but I have done a fair amount of reading about him and he himself seemed to be more interesting than the books he wrote...... I got curious for the strangest reason because I quit cigarettes by vaping and my favorite electric cigarette juice flavor is named after him...................... for a good laugh search RUclips for the animation domination Hemingway video
Nice! Eric, please go to those two key lime pie places, both which claim to be the original and best. That's on my kick the bucket list. Oh, and NEVER change your closing song, etc. Actually, I wish you'd go back to your original, a year or so ago one. Think about it - we recognize the tunes of TV shows we like and associate those tunes forever with those shows. Old ones like Andy Griffith show, etc., and new ones too. Thanks!

Thanks for the extraordinary Videos. I made a trip from Fort Lauderdale to Key west and back in one day. I was working and only had a Sunday off. Things like the inside of Hemingway's house are what I didn't have time for, Thanks. The only really tropical place you can drive too in the US.

My stove is almost exactly like that, even has a light that lights up the stovetop. Had an electrical outlet in the middle of the front. My grandfather had a new house built for my grandmother in the 50's and when she died in 1957, my parents bought the house and I grew up there. When my parents died in their 90's, I bought a brand new stove for their house in exchange for their stove because it held so many memories of my beloved Daddy cooking (He was a fire fighter and when he retired, he took over all the cooking.) I got the cheapest new stove Lowe's had, but the realtor said it would help sale the house. Anyway, the most perfect stove is mine now and it cooks perfectly. I even have the little booklet that came with it because my parents and grandparents never threw anything away.
Amazing that Jax will walk on a leash! When I had a cat, I tried to get him to walk on a leash, but when I put it on him, he would lie down like he was dead. I'd pull him across the carpet but he didn't move. Just dead. I'm not sure what he thought that was accomplishing, but it accomplished what he wanted.....he never had to wear a leash.

Cool video's. I've been watching for a few month's. We just got a 34 foot class A and will be doing a lot of camping in the near future. As much as I enjoy the travel-channel type style you have switched to in recent months, I really preferred the more day-to-day stuff. Whoever told you to stop filming yourself eating was wrong. My favorite video of yours is the old boondocking one where you are going from spot to spot, eating food and playing with your cat. I want to know what life is like in your new RV. How is it working out for you? More day to day stuff please! I want to know how often and where you dump. Where you get water. Do you use a water filter? What are you eating day to day and why? What stores well? What do you buy at Walmart? Where else do you shop? Who sells good RV stuff? People are watching your videos to get an idea what traveling in an RV is like. Disneyland is pretty, but it is the RV I care about.
Great video!! Brought back memories of when I went to Key West. Been there twice and it is definitely a beautiful relaxing place to admire paradise!! Love the cats and free roaming chicken and roosters. :)
Fisheye lens with all the warping kind of wore me out. Otherwise, your last two videos have been fine. I wish you'd discuss a little more about WHERE you were able to boondock in the Keys. When I've been there I figured I'd get a 3am wake up from the guys/gals in blue if I even tried it on a public street.
Next time you go to Key West, check out the sunset celebration on Mallory Square. I believe they have it every evening at sunset, but I could be wrong about that. You will find all the street performers doing their thing and it'really a fantastic time. The wife and I went there about 10 years ago and I'm looking forward to going back. Thanks for the video!

I know what you mean about going to miss Key West. I retired from the Navy @ NAS Key West in 1995 and moved away. I still miss it to this day. Wished that I had stayed. Spent three years living there. Loved the sunsets.

Great video, I really enjoyed your viewing of the keys. Just wondering (since your down there) if you would consider heading to the west coast of south Florida to explore the Naples? The Gulf Coast of Florida is quite a trip and there is lots of activities to venture there.
Sweeet. I like how you had your advance team arrange for the purfect parking spot. And then, how about the yaht slowing passing in the background as you and Jax walked toward the beach. Now that is priceless. lol
Eric, did you notice how they kept the kitties confined in the Hemingway's house property, cats are very good climbers and jumpers, has me wondering how they keep them all from getting out.
Sounds like you have spiritually connected to Key West. Enjoy it whenever you can. Video intro is short and sweet. A little disappointed that you aren't Jax's human servant but I guess Jeeves only has one name too. 😉

I know you're very careful about where you park but do you ever worry that the RV might get towed with Jax inside while you're checking out a new town? I think that would be in the back of my mind whenever I left to explore. If it did get towed, how quick could you find out where it was towed and get back to Jax? I would always be a nervous wreck thinking about that.

Loved the tour of the Hemingway House! I am an avid reader and enjoy all the tours you've done of writer's homes and haunts. Got a little bit of a vertiginous feeling on the balcony with that danged fish-eye lens, though. Don't see why so many people like it. It distorts everything. Love the palm tree spot you found. Keep having a great time
I really enjoyed that Hemingway House tour, I was friends with a fellow that use to enter the Hemingway look alike contest, never won, but, fun.
