To anyone like me who is playing Super Mario Eclipse (a fan-made deluxe edition to this game), I can confirm that all of the Blue Coins are in the same places as they were before. You can follow this guide input for input, frame for frame, and you would still find them all. There are two small differences however. Firstly, a QOL change: you can collect all Blue Coins in virtually any episode of an area. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule, mainly concerning those in episode-specific sub areas (the Sand Bird section or the arena where you help Eely-Mouth for example). Secondly, Eclipse makes small changes to the level design to create a web of pathways that link all 11 main areas (7 returning and 4 original) into one continuous path. Because of this, some Blue Coins are moved around a little bit, such as the first one collected in Pianta Village. It’s still an M graffiti Blue Coin, but the wall it’s on is removed to create a shortcut to Bianco Hills and Gelato Beach. It is now on the right side of the entrance instead.
Of all the games that came out earlier than Super Mario Odyssey, it is this game that reminds me the most of that one. The purple regional currency in odyssey are practically the blue coins in Sunshine, there’s such a wide distribution and variety in interactive NPCs, both have plenty of linear platforming challenges, cappy is FLUDD basically, and they both take place in areas that look like a place I’d want to visit with great architecture and everything.
41:28 You know ledge grabbing in this game is broken when it’s more desirable to avoid it at all cost. It is so inconsistent and, if there is any consistency to be had, it involves only a frame’s worth of reaction time to tilt the stick forward as soon as you start falling.
24:47; It is impossible to follow along and get this Blue Coin. I've played the video in slow motion and I can't get the sun to appear on the sand. I've tried everything. Either that, or the shine doesn't reappear in the sand if you already got that Blue Coin. I wish that was clarified. I used the video and I think I collected every Blue Coin there was, I haven't double-checked yet.
Im guessing he is switching between save files. He needs them with 0 blue coins but also needs the areas unlocked. Im guessing he just clipped it all together. Doesnt make the guide non perfect in any way.
Don’t ask me why my childish mind wanted me to punt them durians the whole time, including into her basket. That coin took me I swore weeks to finally get. Now watching this….. I feel like a moron lol 16:57 holy crap those 2 coins are on such a short timer it has to be flawless jumps to get them

It was because of this video, I was able to get the Durian Blue Coins
The best guide for blue coins I ever seen. Thank you Retro Archive for the content of this legendary game. Also, the platforming skills are awesome.
You literally are a sunshine master. I’m jealous of how good you are lol

I finally got done beating super Mario sunshine in 100 percent complete thank you for your help with this video
I think this is worth mentioning. In Pinna park you can actually get the ep 3 coins in ep 1 already
This was invaluable in 100 percenting the game :) Thank you so much!
I cant tell you how it feels to cash in all 240 blue coins at once. Just absolute pleasure
This helped me so much!!!
Thank you so much!

Why is it that when he picks up the last coin of the lava phase he appears with 238 blue coins and out of nowhere there in the house he appears 240?

Have you played Super Mario Eclipse?
The video is excellent, although, after checking everything, there's only two blue coins left. Any ideas where these two coins are?
you can check the map to see how many coins yoo have per area
In gelato beach he forgets the one with beehive and you use yoshi to eat the bees
26:20 show off😂😂
Salut est ce qu'on est obligé de prendre les piece bleus dans se jeux ?
Non c’est optionnel mais si tu veux finir le jeu a 100% il te faut les pieces bleus pour avoir 120 shines.
Minute 56:10 and 56:37
Screw the whole 5 seconds to get them gig
37:57 that wasn’t there.
You forgot gelato beach
Did you have a mistake because I count 241
No there is 240
Total stars in the game 96
10 =1 star
240=24 stars
Total stars 120
I misscount, I counted the delfino airstrip Coín as an independent coin but it is part from delfino plaza
Wow what
Why they do that, sucks a lot
