ASMR - Tomatoes - Australian Accent - Discussing in a Quiet Whisper - Plus Cutting & Eating

- An Australian man's voice (#AussieASMRMan) is quietly whispering as he looks at the #Tomato. Twelve tomatoes are cut into quarters and the entire process is discussed in a quiet whisper. This discussion also includes a brief history of tomatoes. Autonomous sensory meridian response (#ASMR). After cutting the tomatoes, they are all eaten (at the end of the video).
The two tomatoes that are shown are:
1. Tommy Toe Tomatoes - a heritage tomato from the Ozark Mountains USA, and
2. Wapsipinicon Peach Tomatoes - another heritage tomato named after the Wapsipinicon River in Iowa USA.
You should play Geoguesser it’s a game that uses google earth and you have to guess where you are in the world. Might be interesting to talk about the different countries

I remember my first experience with ASMR. I was taking a test in 7th grade science class and it was very quiet. Then my teacher began eating an apple and it was like I was in another dimension lol. That was before the internet so I had no clue why it happened. These sounds reminded me of that. Thanks!

Bit of a left field suggestion but, like your previous list videos, ie, liveable cities, spelling tests.. there’s something so calming about ASMR with order involved ( well I personally find that anyway )

Thanks, yes you should try to get some yellow tomatoes if you can. Although any home grown tomatoes, ripened on the vine, are pretty nice!

We call this type of tomatoes as "coctail tomato" in Hungary, because of their size. And we have green tomatoes too, they are super delicious. ;) And also we put these tomatoes to pickles :D

I agree with one comment in this comment section you should play geoguesser it’s a really fun game where you guess a location in a certain country.

In the Netherlands we actually say tomatoes with an a also: tomaten . There no other way of saying it

legally speaking, a tomato is a vegetable due to a Supreme Court ruling in the USA
they ruled that tomatoes were legally a vegetable due to them not being prepared like traditional fruit and therefore qualified for import taxes as a foreign vegetable

the ozark mountains run through the midwest of the united states. a large part of the range runs through my state of missouri, so neat to see the tomatoes all the way in australia!

I know I'm two years late, but the Ozark mountains are in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas (in the midwest)! Some of the oldest and most beautiful mountains in the world, just not very large anymore due to their incredible age.

A tomato slice is a common addition to a burger here in the U.S., but when I was in Australia about 30 years ago I found out a slice of pickled beet was more common. Is that still the norm?

I’m loving these fresh videos. Have you ever thought of going back and re-recording old videos and update or add some interesting information? For example your first gum video is great but you don’t try any of the gum, and same thing with the Tim Tam video (although all those Tim Tams would be rough!

Another banger of a video. Makes me want a fresh tomato sandwich-couple peices of light toast, butter on the insides, a nice thick few slices of fresh tomatoes from the garden, little shake of salt and pepper, maybe a slice of cheddar cheese, and a tall glass of iced tea to wash it down.
Tastes even better if you're sitting on a porch of an evening in the sunshine just listening to the sounds of the world around you.

Its interesting, I grow an heirloom variety called garden peach that seems very similar to the yellow tomato you've got. Its a less domesticated member of the nightshade family. Quite delicious.

We have a yellow variety of tomato in the supermarkets in the UK. They're a little sweeter and quite firm, proper delicious. Wouldn't mind trying your yellow ones, they look so soft! Thanks for another garden upload!
