Can you please help me, where do you live, what will I need? I’m traveling with my 31 year old and I want to move soon. I’m retired i want out of the US.
We travel full time so we don’t live in any one area, we typically go to a new country or new region every 2-3 months. In terms of what you need, honestly you don’t need much. Living like this has shown us how lil we actually need to live an enjoyable and fulfilling lifestyle. We travel to each country with just 1 carry on and 1 book bag each and that’s it. And the best part is when you have US income, it goes very very far in other places around the globe (especially Southeast Asia).
Thank you for joining the fam. And I don’t blame you, the Philippines are really high up on our places we want to visit. I’m sure there’s lots to love about living there. What areas do you recommend we stay in?
Definitely, you’re very right! But we do like to go out and try some of the local restaurants. So we try to find a balance between that and making food at home.
More and more of the family has been finding us so it makes us so happy that we're finally connecting with the right audience. We already left Thailand and are in Japan now, but we are looking to return to Thailand soon, do you have an Instagram that we can connect on?
Thank you so much! We will keep that top of mind when we're living somewhere new. We're realizing that's what people enjoy watching. Those massages were clutch! We were getting them on a regular. 😂
It’s not as outright rejected as it is in Japan, but it’s definitely not mandatory or expected, there will usually be a service charge added to the bill.
Yall GOT ROBBBBBBEEEEDD ATTHAT MASSAGE PARLOR!!!! A massage in Thailand shouldn’t even cost you over $10 usd and that I would still consider expensive in Thailand for a massage.
We were in the touristy part of town so of course it’s going to be more expensive than other areas. I like a little balance, we had some very inexpensive massages and some “pricier” ones too. I was fine with the price I paid for both massages. $50 wouldn’t even cover a 10 minute massage back in NY for 1 person so if $50 is robbery when we both got 2hrs+ off a quality massage, then I need to get robbed more often lol
@ Eh, if you’re on vacation and you want to spend your money that way I guess. But, as expat here for years I would never pay that much and I’m American making too 10% income. I like to get fair prices for the local market regardless of how much I make and can afford. Even for Phucket they robbed you. It should have been at the very most about 15 for each of you. They definitely taxed you guys. But, at least you enjoyed it.
@@LifeWithRilla I'm with you, and I agree, but you have much more experience with the area, while we were there just a month. Please show us some grace, it's all very much a learning experience for us. And like you said, we enjoyed it, so we have no regrets.
For healthcare it is actually far more affordable, you can do full comprehensive checkups at a hospital in Bangkok (Bumrungrad) for about $300-$600 and you can use travel insurance like safetywing for emergent needs. And those comprehensive checkups literally do everything, you can visit the hospital website to see all the details.

I love how you show where you are going and the view of the architecture. Keep that up please
You got it, we love showing the unique architecture too!
Renting on Facebook marketplace is way more affordable. Don’t use Airbnb for anything over a month stay.
I agree with you fam, we took the easy way out and didn't mind spending a lil more on Airbnb since we were only gonna be there a month.
Found y’all randomly, and I’m glad I did. I’m partial to the Philippines but I’m trying to learn more about Thailand.

The massage and the whole fish 😊 … love the day in the life information!!
Hey girl! Thank you for watching and supporting🫶🏾! I need to go back just for that fish lol
Lots of food make your breakfast and dinner home
Fruits and smoothie could be prepared as well
Definitely, you’re very right! But we do like to go out and try some of the local restaurants. So we try to find a balance between that and making food at home.
Found you guys randomly my husband and I live in Bangtao if you guy ever want to meet up and explore more restaurants!

I love it too!
Y'all should go to Greece
There’s a couple areas of Europe we’ll eventually visit, and Greece is for sure one of them. What areas should we look to visit?
Love this! Y'all made me hungry

Y’all sold me on the Thai massage👌🏾-you both looked so refreshed and relaxed afterwards.

I’m on my way back over December 1 just subbed
Appreciate you Zach. What part(s) are you gonna visit?
@ I’m living there this time around cha am, Ubon and prob Vietnam 3-5 years Tefl teaching
Awesome, definitely some great places to settle, those two countries are exactly where we want to go for long term stays
What is the tipping like? Is it like Japan where they don't practice tipping or they encourage it in Thailand??
It’s not as outright rejected as it is in Japan, but it’s definitely not mandatory or expected, there will usually be a service charge added to the bill.
@GoingFartherTogether thank you. This is good to know !

@@GoingFartherTogether just trying to give info so you don’t allow that moving forward. So long as you guys enjoyed yourselves that’s great
Keep going guys, you made it out JUST in time. hahaha
You're right, the timing was impeccable! 😂
