- Join developer Parallel Studios as it gives us an exclusive look behind the scenes at the upcoming narrative-adventure, Under the Waves. Set in the depths of the North Sea in an alt-history 1970s, our diver hero Stan is trying to overcome life-changing loss in the darkness. But, as the isolation starts to get to him, it may be making things worse rather than better.

I dont know if its because I have a young daughter or because I recently lost someone but I have to add this game to the short list of games that made me cry ❤️ absolutely beautiful game from start to finish. Im happy I bought it. I feel sad when people write that its not worth buying a game thats 8 hours long for 30 euro… but its worth spending about the same seing a mediocre film thats 2 hours long on cinema? I have played most games worth playing since ealry 2000 and this for me managed to captivate me and I really enjoyed this work of art from start to finish. I hope more people try this 🙏

I 100%ed this game twice on Steam. It's wonderful, I especially liked the design and atmosphere. This is one of the few games about the underwater world.
I'm just starting the adventure and the Ambiance are already awesome !

I think this and Pacific Drive for PS5 are the only 2 "Must Buy" games (physical of course) for me in 2024..in fact I just now bought Under the Waves physical on Ebay..cant wait..looks amazing.

This game uses 3D models(most games do now because of Polygon Graphics), do you use something like 3DS Max to make them...?
I ask because I have used it to make Arcade Cabinets from the 70s/80s and 90s, I have even made a arcade environment for them to be put into, and where you can walk around in it.

One thing I have noticed that on the PS5 version... Stan's mouth is not moving correctly with the English voice over, its like his mouth is moving when there is a gap in the voice over so his mouth does not match the movement to the voice over, is this a bug...? I try not to look at Stan when he is talking because its very annoying, seeing his mouth out of sync, he looks like a puppet when he talks.
Really loved this game.
