Titanfall refugee here! There's no hope for a good sequel to the titanfall series. Apex story, lore, and community is like a hollow shit filled husk of the titanfall community. I've gotten 330 hours on PS5 and stand by my PC brothers and sisters. I've many friends on PC and I would not blame them for stopping playing. And if they walk, I walk. PS+ be downgraded to basic at renewal also. Sony just another shit company all about £££ like Activision is.

Sony's region system is not fully enforced. I am a PlayStation owner and my country is not PSN supported. So I set my country as the US. I once wanted to change it to another country, so I contacted playstation support. I explained the situation, and still didn't get banned...

@@saunshilu The idea of linking accounts was always there, the Steam page confirms it. They didn't enforce it because they were focusing on the server issues and thought it wasn't important.
@ernis808 again, very stupid decision to even make it available to those same regions that don't support PSN. Also, I'm not sure if it was even confirmed or known if it was required for the game or only for crossplay. Either way, why let people buy it from those regions?

The only two good things about this game coming out was the supporting of a local game shop and the fun I had with a friend I never played with because we don’t like each other’s games.

I been trying to refund for the pass two days. It’s rough out there and with 250 hours I doubt it will happen, but imma still keep trying.

Keep trying. And make sure to mention the legal ramifications of non-compliance.
Legal Mindset has encouraged everyone to refund the game and leave a bad review, even if the refund doesn't go through it leaves Sony open to a class action lawsuit (and YES they can be sued).
Until the requirement is reversed I will continue to request a refund. If I do get a refund first then they reverse, I'll repurchase - reward good, punish bad.
I'll tell you now though, if Sony does what Sony does, I'm just done with them in general. Outside of maybe blu-ray there are plenty of other good alternatives out there that haven't given me the finger. At least, not yet.

Breaking news - This game was just removed from those countries that cannot create PSN accounts from Steam. Just when you think it couldn't get worse. It can always get worse.
For anyone who needs to know, if you submit a manual support ticket to steam (not a refund request, that goes through bot approval) steam will actually refund your purchase of Helldivers 2 even if you have over 90 hours like me :)

I made the EternalSwede discord account after my main account got banned for criticizing Spitz messaging on certain HD2 mechanics. If he is really so sorry, how come he hasn't rescinded the ban on my EternalSwede or Frank Deluxe discord handles? Anyway, Arrowhead has treated its customers horribly. I won't forget.

I love the game and how the devs were operating it too much to just immediately refund it, especially as this is a publisher issue, not the company itself (also those CMs are usually either women or soyboys, for every company, Escape From Tarkov taught me that CMs/Emissaries and so on are all in cahoots with the corpos, best to just ignore their opinions and listen to them for game stuff only.
Anyway two days ago I gave them two weeks notice of my intention to refund the game. As an Australian Citizen I have some really good consumer protections, it was actually our laws that changed Steam's refund policy from not at all to 2 hours maximum gameplay for the worldwide customers. If no change to the PSN account requirement, to my satisfaction as the customer/consumer, I will request a refund via Steam, if Valve do not honor the refund, I will simply take it to the ACCC and have them pursue Valve/Sony for my $80 AUD in value that was spent buying the game and also getting a few cheap MTX packs.
Doesnt matter what these scumlords write in their ToS/EULA, those aren't binding for the most part if they breach consumer law (which they almost always are anti-consumer if you ever read them)
It's not about my money, no matter how poor I am, it's about sending a damn message.

My bank blocks me from using my debit card to renew my PS+ or buy games. Wanna know why? Because so many kids max out everything you can buy for a game like CoD and when the parents find out, the banks are forced to refund the parents credit card for unauthorized purchases because the information is stored in the PS5 if the card is used once. These kids make it the default card on file. I have to call into customer service every single time I want to buy something on PSN. It just goes to show how much Sony makes on unauthorized purchases across a plethora of games and the banks have suffered so much that they block Sony. Unbelievable. It's getting worse too. Many more banks are following suite.

@@swigmcale7555No. It's not just Sony. Some banks block AliExpress. Some block Temu. I have been going down the rabbit hole to find out what's really going on. I didn't know all of this until I talked to a customer service rep for my bank to find out why I couldn't buy anything online from Sony. Watch out in the future making purchases because I have bought things overseas. The transaction goes through, but it will freeze your card until you call and confirm it was you. Which is ridiculous because if you thought it was fraud, why did you let it go through. It makes no sense. I think these banks are in the process of figuring everything out.
I have worked in fast food for 3+ years, the only reason that the suits can get away with what they’ve been doing is because the consumer is still buying the product. I currently work at chipotle and I’ve noticed that most of the customers that I see live and breathe chipotle. Thats why they were able to get away with the promo, because people are buying the product still. In helldivers case, people are not buying the product and its making sony lose money bc of refunds. If it affects the bottom line, they’ll change it.

That's what I thought at first because I mixed up PSN with PS+, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. The mere existence of PS+ and others like it should be illegal, that's why I moved to PC.

Ok, serious question, and I want a serious answer:
1. Would Arrowhead have been any better off signing a contract with Microsoft instead? I know Microsoft has their own version of this with their Microsoft accounts required on some games, but it doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as intrusive/problematic as Sony’s, what with their cyber security issues and all.
2. Is there any chance that Arrowhead can get out of their contract with Sony? Yeah, it would probably mean HD2 would be a PC exclusive game, which would cut the player-base, but then at least Arrowhead wouldn’t have to deal with the absolute fustercluck this situation has become, and actually just continue to make a fun game.
HD2 was such a breath of fresh air. They are proof you don’t need a full priced game to make bank. Just make the core gameplay so fun and addicting by its own merits alone, and you will practically print money with the number of people who’ll buy the game, AND continue to come back and play the game due to the almighty, the mythical, player retention Activi$ion keeps spouting on and on about to justify SBMM/EOMM.
Side note fuck chipotle. Qdoba’s a better tasting option anyways. Chipotle is bold charging $20 for that fuckin e coli meat

I'm admitting some major purchases in tin-foil stock as of late, but...I think this is why we don't have any massive co-op games like this anymore. The mindset transfers.
When you have a rage-inducing SBMM-infested shitshow like COD, you are going to have a divided community that still shells out every year. They are going to rage and bitch and moan on reddit and forums about everything but actually banding together for the sake of a better game. God bless Arrowhead, they actually pulled a really strong community together, and that zealous energy that Helldivers are using in-game is now being turned into positive change.
Companies. Do. Not. Want. That. I bet we will never see a game published by a major corporation that has this kind of game design/core mechanic ever again, solely because of the type of people it will bring: people that want a good game. We're not the target audience anymore.

I stopped caring about Helldivers 2 when they increased the spawn rate for solo players. Its bad enough playing Level 7 missions solo for any real action in the game but they are pushing the solo players out of the game. at this point why do we have the option to turn off matchmaking.
I’m happy I didn’t purchase helldivers 2 it seemed so boring I don’t like the overall hype the game had and now requires a 3rd party launcher or app to run it on pc. I’m already tired of it with Ubisoft as a company and ea doing this shit just to load up a simple game. Not only does it take up storage it also takes away from the full performance of a gaming pc by wasting cpu space on a 3rd party launcher. Now I understand that helldivers 2 doesn’t have a app or launcher for Sony but the fact that I have to sign in constantly when I created a account to avoid this shit through steam is a steaming pile of shit 💩 huge waste of time. SPITZ disrespecting players in that OG comment of his is what drove me to request refund. uninformed or not. SPITZ should have done the research behind the reason why it would be fought against. I do have a PSN account. I have a PS5 I was gifted for my birthday. but the disrespect is not excusable. F sony and I wish they had rather got me an XBOX or a better PC than I currently have

I understand your point about the fast food thing. But, I also don't blame employees there for not caring. They're treated like shit and literally paid $7.25 an hour where I live which isn't even enough to pay for gas to and from work anymore, let alone food and a roof over their head. So I don't blame them at all for putting minimal effort for minimal respect and pay
