I own the Holzfforma G372XP...JUNK!!! 3 tanks of gas is all it lasted. Choke fell out, replaced with Husqvarna OEM choke. Throttle cable fell apart, replaced with Husqvarna OEM throttle cable. Handle broke, replaced it with Husqvarna OEM handle. Yesterday on the third tank of gas the engine blew...throwing it away and buying a Husqvarna today!! I've owned a couple Husqvarna 268's for 20 years with no issues, so I'm going back.

Hey Jason, sounds like you got a very bad one. That has not been my experience with mine. It was my main saw last summer and I cut 25 or so face cords with it with only minor issues. But you can't go wrong with the husqvarna for sure. Good luck and thanks for watching.

Did you Calobrate it like you are sapposed to before turning it 10,000
Rpm. Ive run my 545 for 2 years and ive had not a single issue. Also proper preventive maintenance goes a long way no matter what kind or size of equipment it may be.

I like my husky 460 for 40 face cord or less. 24 bar too. Cheap. Cheap enough to upgrade if you end up cutting more. Good second saw for what it is as a homeowner saw.

Hello Stan, Yes I have a 455 Rancher It's a good back up saw. And I can see someone cutting 40 cords a year with it. 100% But after running my 372 xp cone this summer, I don't want to go back to a smaller saw. Have a great weekend Stan.

    I hear ya man
    I would hope a 71cc would out cut a 50cc.
Not sure what kind of "firewood" operation you have but nor sure why a man would let his saw be in a shop for 3 months when you can replace a sprocket in less than 5 minutes. But I know how folks are.Sounds like you need the big 592XP. So kick out $2000
    Cause the Holzfmans are junk

Good day BOSSMAN. Sorry to hear you had so much trouble with that 545 mkII. I kinda thought you’d have issues with it as I cautioned you about the pitch of a bar you were running. As I stated before, that saw, as well as the 550mkII XP both run a .325” with either a .050/.058 The bar can be 13-20” with a nose sprocket of 11/12 tooth. In all situations stated, the saw sprocket is a Rim style with 7 teeth (RIM7). If you run the bar that you were running YOU WILL DESTROY DRIVE SPOCKETS. Personally that saw deserved a better review as it can only perform if it’s run with proper accessories. I’m glad your moving to a longer bar as bucking on the ground can be a pain in the back. Even with a 24” bar I might add. Will be interesting to see the warranty coverage offered with your new saws. Be sure to keep us up to date on all your saws. Oh and be sure to pair that husky with a .325” pitch bar and chain before you sell it. Someone will be getting a great working saw. BTW why is it taking that saw shop so long to repair a sprocket? It’s a 10min fix. Maybe it’s time to move on from them if they haven’t realized it’s the wrong bar and chain setup. BOSSMAN if I’m wrong here I’ll happily publicly apologize. But as it stands there is no other explanation to this issue as contrary to what your stating; sprockets aren’t an issue with the 545/550xp. Sprockets can wear as due chains. Some say change the sprocket when you wear out the chain. I check them but rarely change them as I keep my chain taunt all the time.
Good luck BOSSMAN. Oh and the max rpm is 9900 and the 550 is 10200rpm.

Wow Bill, I need to give you an award for longest comment. LOL The saw shop I have no chose in and the store I go the saw from uses them and they have been good so far. As far as the sprocket go's they all tell me its right bar, chain, is match. So I don't know. Like you say it's just time for me to move on. Thanks for all of your info and help. I will keep you all up to date on the saws. Have an awesome weekend Bill.

Hey boss I have three 72cc chainsaws I run 24-in bars on them. They all run the same chain. And I can cut all day long. I have one 80cc chainsaw I run my 28-in and 32-in bars on that. It will also run the same 24 inch bar.

Hey boss on your 372 what size chain and sprocket do you run? Hi Run 3/8-0.50 by 84 links chain. Now will that sprocket that comes with the g372 XP chainsaw you have run that size chain? Or do you have to get a different sprocket?

Hey Stanly, I am running the same as you it's 3/8 x.50x84DL As far as I know the new one I don't have yet should be the same as its the same saw just with better parts and looks cooler. Have a great day Stanly.

I also have the 590 timberwolf. That's a 60cc chainsaw thereabouts. It came with a 20 inch bar. It'll run a 24 inch bar all day long. Myself I look for reliability.

Timberwolf never been around one. I guess reliability and performance are what I look for. At some point in time I want to get a ported saw and see what I think of it.
