I love watching these videos about tally ho. I'm definitely a fan, very relaxing and educational. Keep up the great work guys and gales, can't wait to see the final project.
Sailing left to right looks like jibs are cleated to the Starboard side of the model. I may be wrong ! Looks fantastic though. Having been a bit of a sailor and done 1 Sydney Hobart together with a number of other races I am loving to watch Leo progress with the rebuild and I look in Awe of how technical and competent shipwrights are. I wish I had a fraction of their skill. Seeing the Americas Cup yachts makes me want to put foils on my Status 19 hull. A wish and wow wouldn't it be a head turner.
@@LCC389 no, the coota boats evolved in the south of Port Phillip Bay for hand lining baracoota and potting for southern rock lobster. Plenty on the web about these boats.
Fantastic! She looks beautiful and she slips through the water very nicely. Great job Paul.
Can't wait for real thing !!
I like the back of the boat best 😏. Can't believe it's taken a year for me to find this but Tally looks beautiful on the water.
@@Deftonesdsm Hopefully in only another 2 or 3 years!
And Dave Mikelthwaite who built it!
Thank you for sharing, Paul. 👍
All it needs is a miniature Leo at the helm.
She looks amazing and sails so nicely. Great job.
Thanks for posting. Beautiful model and very pleasant to watch. Art in motion.
Think this will give Leo a boost of spirit to finish his project. 👍🇬🇧👍
I hope the forward hatch is properly offset
She's lovely. I love the chain plates....nice touch

That's done on purpose to help the boat staying on course.
Well done!
WOW!! That had to be a lot of work. Very nice.
The sounds of Australia in the background haha. I love my country.
Cant wait to see her sail in heavier winds...please show us more!
Very beautiful! If only there was a real boat like this!
It’s being build right now, see Sampson boat on youtube.
Beautiful
Someone should build that to full scale that would be cool!
How many views did you get from people who thought this was Leo's channel....?

Samson Boats & Co is restoring this boat. If you are interested you will find her on YT
Cute model :)
Very nice. The way Leo Goolden is going the full size Tally Ho should be re-built and sailing again in about another year....... or two. :)
Two is the official estimate, I believe.
Beauty! Gosh can't wait for that fine day.
Beautiful lines. Looks fair.
Would like to also see under full Gaff Cutter sail as in 1927.
Have you been watching the guy rebuilding the real one if you haven't seen it take a look.. Beautiful model
Well done mate. Reminds me of the old Couta boats.
Is Couta Australian or New Zealander for Cutter?

That is awesome!
Nice boat
Nicely balanced.
Well I guess Leo now knows for sure where is the water line!
Alrighty youtube algorithm. Thanks for the recommendation!
Good job.
Great stuff
Just found this, impressive. At 1/4 or 1/5 scale would make a fine dinghy.
Absolutely lovely and stable...
I don't see tiny Leo anywhere?
Waiting for 10:1 of this one. 😊
Why is the forward head sail backed?
Hope Leo doesn’t give up
By the time I'm Daves age I may have the patience to be this good.
Your jib sheets are fastened on the windward side.?
Well done to the builder ... can you add a servo so you can trim the headsails ?
really nice lines gliding in the water ... are there plans available?
Sampson boat Co.. That's the channel
Where's the deckhouse?
By the way, It is a lovely model Jealous as all heck!
...Very nice...!
excellent ! what were the skie's like when you were young ?
Awesome
Lovely model that sails great. Is it a scratch built one?
Leo would be interested to see this. By the way this looks and sounds like Australia - just where is this place? Cheers
Did you recognize the birds accent??!!! ;-)
@@karwai2673 Yes, sounds like my Australia, the sounds I'm hearing out side just now.
@@AquaMarine1000 Lake Eppalock in Victoria maybe?
Only Aussies use the word "Mate". According to the blog, Dave the builder lives in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
Lake Wivenhoe about 50km north west of Brisbane Queensland.
This must be the nautical equivalent to a pregnancy ultrasound scan
That is so cool. How long did it take to build?
Seems fast with a bit of wind behind him.
Have you seen the channel on here about the restoration of the Tally Ho ?.......
Sampson Boat Co
The headsails are aback.
Yes, I know. It takes a bit more wind to drag the sheets across to the other side. It's still a work in progress and I will fix it eventually!
super looking boat .. shame the sail settings are lacking performance .
Good joke😂👍
Well done !
