The thing to take away was Kobe, Artest and Pau. Kobe finally got his knee's drained and it slowed him down tremendously, also the fatigue of 3 straight finals appearance (08, 09, '10) Kobe was not in his best form that year same with Pau. Artest on the other hand aged poorly. He fit well in 09-10 after that he struggled.

LOL at the MJ fan commenting on this video. Everyone knows MJ is the GOAT, can we leave him out of this?? Everyone knows how great he is. If you're gonna say Kobe suck because he doesn't pass or that he shoots 46%, then Idk what to say. 2008 MVP, Top 5 in MVP several times, 2009 and 10 Finals MVP, multiple All-Star appearences, multiple All-Defensive Teams, 4th in Scoring All-Time, Consecutive 40+, 50+ Point Games, 62 in 3 quarters, 56 Points in 34 Minutes, 61 Points in MSG, 81 Points, 2 Time Olympic Gold Medalist (Best Player + Closer in 2008 Team) 7 Finals appearences, (30-7-6 throught '01 playoffs), All-Time Lakers leader in everything, 4x ASG MVP, and still got two years to seal his legacy.
Ask any of his teammates on those 5 title teams. Shaq and Phil both said they had ups and downs, but when it mattered most, Kobe rose his game to a level he trusted his teammates, let his ego aside, and did what it took to get the job done. Michael Jordan will never ever be replaced. But the greatness of Kobe Bryant cannot be understated.

Ok lets get this straight kobe is miles ahead of lebron in terms of shooting espicially when it comes to the mid range game, lebron is a beast he can drive literally when he wants because of his size and athleticism which is why he has such a high fg percentage, the only way to guard him is to sag off like the spurs did and when you do his fg declines drastically

Like you said before a couple of bad games dont mean anything which is the same as saying a couple of good games dont mean anything. Durant consistantly had great games in the postseason. Again, you're comparing two different styles of play here. In Jordan's prime the bulk of his shot attempts came either right at the rim or from the close to midrange areas on the court. Same thing with Duncan. Kobe is a better and more willing jumpshooter, so naturally his efficiency is going to dip. The numbers you're using don't tell the full story here...

YES, In YOUR opinion. But I can agree with you, KD is 23 Years Old and a 6'11 guy (an average centers height) who can step up and hit the shot. Now that's scary and he can just shoot right over you with his athleticism and flexibility. I know what you are saying though, he can make a shot when it counts on any given night but not every night. But we have to agree that Kobe and KD are tied up #1 not by each other, but "close" in the category of the NBA's best clutch players. You can disagree on it

Kobe had a 3/21 night last season and they still won and your saying he isnt getting the support? Even if westbrook wasnt on the team KD would still average more than 35ppg while shooting at least 46%. KD will be in top 2 in mvp votings for the next 7 years. Kobe is still great but depends a lot more on jumpshots while KD can score in every which way.KD=tallerkobe

Kobe sat out the last game because he knew that KD deserved the scoring title because durant was way more effecient than him .. Kobe shot 43% from the field this year and Durant shot 50% from the field so thats why kobe sat out he knew he didnt deserve the scoring title .. I respect kobe and his career but the man has never shot 48% from the field his entire 16 year career .. And do you realize championships are a team achivement and a scoring title is an individual achivement ..

think about what? I have already stated that prime kobe wipes the floor with every player in the nba today. But right now in the year 2012 KD is better than 34 year old Kobe.

I was just pointing out the FACT that kobe has been ineffecient for his whole career and also KD has had to take alot of shots for his team as well the diffrence between him and kobe is that kobe is a volume scorer meaning that for him to score alot of points he has to take alot of shots and Kevin Durant on the other hand scores via accuracy.

You seem to want to hate. Obviously Kobe is better than Hakeem, he's better than Duncan, he's better than Russell, he's better than Robertson, he's better than Shaq, he's better than Magic, he's better than Bird, he's the next Michael Jordan, he's better than Wilt. I only seem to think that Jordan and Kareem are on top of him, but that still makes him one of the greatest in the NBA.

Right now currently? Durant is better than Kobe. Kobe is my favorite player but you cannot deny that Durant is just better. Better scorer, rebounder, and super lethal. Kobe said it himself, Durant is just another version of Kobe plus a couple inches taller.

How did it feel when the Thunder lost against the Heat?

..your right he depends more on his jump shot..but its because kobe is 34..he is not that quick..compare durant to kobe way back kobe is still in his prime...26-29 year old...think about that man..

The Lakers very well could have won this series if their defense didn't turn to crap the last 6 mins of the fourth quarters during this series. Kobe can only do so much, and I don't care if you're Michael Jordan during his prime or Kobe during his prime, 1 guy can't guard five other guys, just simply poor execution, so sad.

but KD has won 3 scoring titles in a row and hes only 23...how is he not the best scorer in the nba right now. A bad night might not prove shit but a whole season through the playoffs 2 years in a row might...

@Thelatios1011 Did you not see Kevin Durant walk down metta world peace and hit a three right in his face with the clock running down on the road at staples center in a playoff game, now thats what I call cold blooded .. KD is the most cold blooded killer in the NBA and kobe is second IMO.

How can you even compare these players? They don't even play the same position. Of course Duncan's FG% is going to be higher...he's taking shots way closer to the basket than Kobe is. If it were the other way around there'd be a problem! And while Duncan is a great defender, it is much easier to defend a post player than it is a quick agile guard. Those numbers are irrelevant.

and I mean right now. All time Kobe clearly better than durant but as of right now Durant and Lebron are on top.
