Maybe do Talabheim for the next city guide. (It's basically Mordheim in reverse: First you get a comet, then you build a city.)
Oh, that’s a fun suggestion!
An adventure log describing a journey to, and then desperate escape from, Itza would be a fun idea.
That’s a fantastic idea!
I’m glad that the Pelican’s Perch got a mention - but now I’m going to have to dig out my copy of the issue of White Dwarf that detailed that pub to try to remember the name of the barmaid who knows *all* the games of chance…
It’s always worth revisiting those issues, some of the best ever White Dwarfs I think!
I’d love to see a travel log of the wasteland swamps as well as one through old Westerland of impoverished noble families at the peripheries of Marienburg’s lands
Praag would be fun, there's a lot of history in the cursed city of the north
That’s a good shout!
Your use of the magazine was genius, wonderful video
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it!
Loved this video, great craic, and I particularly like your in-character delivery for it. Please, bring this character back!
I had the privilege to write the cult of Handrich entry for WFRP 4th ed. recently which meant a lot of time reading up on Marienburg. It's such a fun location!
As for where next, my vote would be for Karak Kadrin or Barak Varr.
Thank you, that’s very nice of you to say! I’m definitely hoping there’s opportunity for more Bunferrin in the future!
Is that in Archives of the Empire? I’m looking forward to checking that out!
(Also, great suggestions!)
A journey through the Border Princes would be great. 👍
I like that idea!
Quickly become my fave old world channel cant wait for more
This was incredible. Felt like i was there. Could smell the city.
Hmm a version of Disney's Gargoyles but set in Marienburg...
Awesome video, in-character lore is a refreshing change of pace. Not overly familiar with many cities/locations in the Old World but happily look forward to any future videos in this format
Now that would be a fantastic show!
So glad to see other folks remember/taking an interest in Marienburg! I loved the articles in White Dwarf in the 90s, so full of atmosphere! The 2e Volo’s Guide to Waterdeep scratched a similar itch, but Marienburg was always the best… thanks dude!
+1 (eye) for fimir. I never understood why humans don't believe in skaven when they could just ask a dwarf
It gets even worse; one of their emperors is called Mandred Skavenslayer. If empire folk don't believe in Skaven, then what do they think he slew?
In my roleplay, they mistake Skaven for rat Beastmen.
@@nikoladedic6623 Yes! That's another thing: people from te empire are like: "Beastmen? mutated creatures with the heads of beasts. Yeah there's a lot of those around in the forrest. Skaven? Creatures with the heads of rats? They can't possibly exist."
@@nikoladedic6623 it's that they refuse to accept the existence of the highest technology, most widespread race in the world despite their capital city being on the Empire's borders and their closest allies having so much animus with them that they're one of the few things they hate beyond anything and the Empire itself having been almost destroyed by them which they could also ask any elf about as they remember it happening
Been like 10 years since I read Skaven lore but I think the official Empire story is that the Skaven (if they ever were existed) was a kind of beastmen that were totally eradicated by Mandred Skavenslayer a thousand years ago.
That this story persist is more of a defence mechanism, The Empire can't accept that under each of their cities lies a similar or larger city of ratmen. If it came out people would panic and the empire would break down as each province would try to save themself.
The fact that most people who investigates the skaven either mysteriously dies or are declared insane doesn't help either
Loved this!
Those magazine covers were fantastic, bet you had loads of fun doing those.
Cheers Stu! I did, probably too much fun to be fair as I could have made a dozen more!
Great looking force.
Another suggestion: do a travelogue about Sylvania and it's many historical sights such as Templehof, and Drakenhof castle.
This is another great shout!
@@jordansorcery I could have sworn there's a warhammer map of Sylvania that had "the tower of Roystone Vasey" on it, but I've had a look and now I can't find it anymore. Can you find it or am I just misremembering things? My best guess it's in a WD from '99 or later.
There's no place in the world so richly detailed as Marienburg, but to throw a wild card candidate in the mix, I nominate either Naggarond or Har Ganeth. I hear they know how to have a good time in the New World, and it would be nice to learn a bit about the locals before booking a holiday.
That’s an epic shout, always something interesting/despicable happening in Naggarond!
Wonderful job, sir! A brilliant walk through Marienburg's history and its locales. I'd very much love to see more of these.
Thank you, I’m glad it worked! I’d love to do some more of these!
Brilliant as always
I don't know if goblin or orc towns exists but it would be fantastic to see what you could do
Oh that could be really fun!
They should make a witcher style rpg with Marienburg as the main hub. I imagine the base plot: a pair of swordmasters of hoeth sent to the old world to assist mankind in their fight against chaos. Your master gets killed, you play the student investigating who/what is behind the murder
Wonderful, I'd love to hear about more places. Ubersriek has an excellent setting book in the wfrp starter set, that might be an easy one!
That’s a great suggestion!
Ubersreik is my favorite by far, I’d love to hear more about it.
Loved the magazine covers! A great addition.
I've always been keen to know more about Middenheim!
Thanks Clayton! I really enjoyed making those so there'll definitely be more to come when the time is right. Middenheim is a very appealing suggestion, though Bunferrin sounds like he might not be ready to talk about the place any time soon!
Good stuff. I'm liking how your channel is starting to shape up, down to the snarky little details like those fake magazine covers. Keep it up!
Glad you’re enjoying it!
Hergig. Let's go. Great video!
Great work excellent narration please do more like this
Thank you, I’m hoping to do more!
Great job! I second Nuln too. Or not part of the Empire but an interesting city to hear about would be Praag. Cheers and keep steam rolling!
Thank you! Nuln and Praag are great suggestions!
Nice video.
*adding this to my Warhammer playlist for my rp*
Excellent, thank you!
My god, you must be the BEATING HEART of your RP table. Congrats man, EXCELLENT VIDEO!
What a compliment! Fortunately my group puts my roleplaying to shame so I’m very lucky!
@@jordansorcery Is that so? you oughta have a conversation with 'em then
Take care bro, great content
Love it, a traveloregue sounds just great (although my spelling sure looks dodgy)
Fab, thanks for that 🤩
Nuln, things to expand upon.
Mootland, more Halfling love
Skavenblight - the place that is 'never' talked about
Bitter Stink - building towards a commercial sourcebook, go on 😉
Squeak-Squeak 🐀🌠
These are some brilliant ideas! I wonder if even Banbury Bunferrin would be curious enough to risk a trip into Skaven lands!
Fantastic narration. Always a pleasure to hear you. Would you consider to do the same kind of videos for the other iconic warhammer cities like Lothern or Karaz a Karak ?
I like both of those suggestions a lot! Thank you!
Has there ever been a City Guide, official or otherwise, to the jolly old city of *Skavenblight?* 😉🐀 (Or Nagash's Warpstone Fortress while they took it in his absence?) Oh *boy* am I tempting fate. 😛
Oh those are some dangerously tempting places!
Great Video! I would love to see the capital of the empire, Aldorf
Good shout!
Great video and format! Keep up the great work
Thanks!
Great content, yet again!
Thank you!
did you make all those silly magazine covers yourself ?!! Talent properly used, hats off
Thank you! I had a fair amount of fun with photoshop on this one!
So good!
Cheers!
Great video. Cheers!
Many thanks!
Wonderful and fantastic telling! I loved your delivery of this and am wondering did you write this or is it read from one/some WH supplements?
I remember the name of Marienburgh I had the WHFRP book as young although we never ended up playing it.
Thanks so much! I wrote the script based on plenty of bits of fiction from across the Warhammer and WFRP books, glad you liked it!
Amazing!
Love it!
I’m glad!
Please do a 'Travellers Guide to the Old World' as InDeepGeek did for Westeros & Essos
I like this idea a lot!
Please do Estalia or Nordland next.
Excellent suggestions!
How about the city that named an entire empire. Khemri.
That’s an excellent suggestion!
Wonderful stuff and very inspiring for my own hobby projects.
As an Afficiondao of the Tamurkhan book, a Nuln travelogue would be very welcome!
Nuln is a strong contender. Tamurkhan is one of the best!
gottab be kislev
Could have sworn you called that halfling “Bumferret” ….. 😂
Also love the Enquirer rip. I actually used to get the real world enquirer. Proper funny but utter boll***s.
The noble Bunferrins have received plenty of scurrilous name calling over the years!
Much more trustworthy than that Volo fellow.
You can definitely absolutely trust every word a Bunferrin says!
@@jordansorcery Also, I wouldn't mind seeing one of these on Nuln or Skavenblight.
Please check your pronunciation of your script - "ensign", "boatswain", and several others got far more letters than they normally have!
You’re quite right
@@jordansorcery ...as in for the next one, 'cos it's a great concept and more should happen.
You think rent is bad there?
There’s accommodations to fit every budget!
