    Also, going back to the controversial Buchart review. We had a pair for 6 weeks for our Speakerfest Event End of August. In my home the sound was "okay". Same at the Event. But at a members home who measured and adjusted EQ they sounded totally amazing. I was shocked
    to know how different the exact same pair could sound. Another club member ended up buying them.

    Looking forward to your comparison video LRS + vs LRS.

    • @StefanUrkel
      @StefanUrkel Год назад

      yeah, i for one would like to know if it's just a rehashed LRS, maybe simplified manufacturing to lower costs, and whether the new stands are making the bulk of the sound difference, or if there is really a fundamental upgrade in design and parts (stand aside) that makes it worth a 25% premium. the optional premium stands are said to be taking a page from 3rd party stand maker designs that have been out for years. so i'm genuinely curious. also, there's a good deal of hype about the upcoming mini subwoofers that apparently are supposed to be pretty amazing.

      @StefanUrkel Год назад +1

      @@maheeinfy13 haven't had them together to compare, so can't really say.. i can say there are videos on youtube comparing LRS to the 0.7 and 1.7i. 1.7i seems to have it all, but is much bigger. 0.7 seems to be more detailed/analytical of the 3, based on what i could gather from videos. LRS+ does sound good though.

      the best value part, for the $650 LRS originals, perhaps, and the jury's out on the LRS+. But one thing seems to be in wide agreement - to get the best out of them, you need much, much more expensive components in the chain.. which negates the value part of it. one also needs to consider if they have room to properly space and position them to get the most out of them.

    • @enniol8043
      @enniol8043 Год назад

      @@StefanUrkel The space issue does not negate them from being a good bargain. Even if you bought a good pair of box speakers you still would not power them with inferior components. Assume you use the same $5K to $10K integrated you still save on the speakers.

    • @StefanUrkel
      @StefanUrkel Год назад +1

      @@enniol8043 nobody said the space issue negates them from being a bargain.. it was just noted for those who think they will get the best out of them with limited space scenarios. they won't. and the argument is that with the LRS you really need expensive components to get the best out of them in a way that you may not with a different speaker. buyer should go in with open eyes about these two things.

    Magnepan speakers are a novelty at best. They draw so much power they destroy amplifiers, and the people that work there are not informed about the products enough to be answer questions about compatibility. Also, the sound is directional and don't film the room well. Buy SVS instead and save yourself the headache. These aren't "great," speakers by any measurement. The LRS plus are dogass.

    Considering the expensive 3.7 measure really bad, with poor quality crossover parts, and have extreme low impedance, with some diaphram ringing issues, I doubt these will be better but worse quality.
