Thank you so much. Well organized and clear explanations. Like your quiet approach. Maybe I need an even more basic course in this, but what about microphone for zoom etc? Thanks

One thing I would look at is the type of padding texture that will be touching against or around the ear (specifically for on-ear or over-ear models). The earphone covers with with a more foamy texture tend to heat up the skin and cause itching over time, whereas a more leathery or closed texture makes for more comfortable wearing and reduces the heating sensation over time. I wear headphones for long hours when working with the computer, so this would be an important factor for me.

As I am hearing impaired I prefer over ear headphones as I can remove my hearing aids and sound is amazing. I have Sennheiser HDR165 wireless which are noise cancelling. I can listen to music, tv, laptop with RUclips etc

I would say wired for all out HiFi quality. That includes earphones. Wireless you always lose a bit.
However wireless all the way for everyday listening.

One more thing that’s important for me is how far away you can go from mobile while wireless earphones are in the ear before the voice quality goes. I usually listen while cooking or or house chores and need to go upstairs etc and the voice goes ☹️

If you watch a lot of RUclips, Tv and movies on your laptop it usually doesn't work well with bluetooth headphones then, due to a slight delay of the sound, so it's never quite synchronized. That's what I've found anyway.

That's a problem with your phone, not the headphones. My LG had that issue with certain wireless headphones. Same headphones work perfectly with my Samsung S21.

@@RBLevin No it's the same with two different laptops and different headphones as well.

@@Leadfoot_P71 Probably your Bluetooth codec then. What version of Bluetooth? And do you know what codec it's using? Older codecs have issues with real-time streams.

Another point for the Sennheiser is that the cushion pads are all replaceable, which I've just done.

All good points but I knew the answer before I watched. Sony noise cancellers. All day long. Better than Bose or B&O.

Larger drivers don't always translate into better sound. There are many high quality earbuds available that offer better performance with smaller drivers.
