My guy this episode was absolutely fantastic, getting an Artist on board and music created really brought this story up to another level. Do i write a script? That's alot of work... when do i start drawing? Should i draw all the first 7 dwarves and read their whole bio description?" Questions after questions! Also all the dwarves died to the undead, but there were some epic events along the line! And then just tried to survive, unable to rebuild or do anything productive as I wtched a couple years go by, hoping the oldest dwarven daughter becomes old enough to be able to work and fix up the base. If you have any tips, I'd love to hear your process and how you go about doing everything. Much love, Zonalar.

Great one shot. I'm always amazed at the potential Dwarf Fortress has. The implementation of other races in the game would be incredible for the types of narratives that would emerge.
I really like these 'special' forts with modded civs. But then again, you come up with interesting, novel concepts on a regular basis, regular dwarves or something different. Also, props to the illustrator and mod-maker! Hooray for Bird Fortress!
It was a really fun episode! Props to Pythania for the amazing art, always fun to see guest artists, and to Angelo for the music. And of course, to APPW for the fun mod that brought us this change of pace!
I love this. Bird people are so cool. Definitely going to pass this on to some of my friends. Maybe that will open their eyes to what Dwarf Fortress can do.
I love how the game of Dwarf Fortress works with many different settings and species of sentient folks. Avian folks? Check. Super Mario Toads? Check. Whatever you want to do, there should be some means to do it with DF.
I would imagine that Ave egg meals would be seen as peasant food. Afterall, it's what the poorest would most likely have to get by on. And there's probably a bit of a stigma attached to it, while other eggs are fine. Like humans and how we refuse to drink milk from humans. People are silly like that. But whatever way this culture develops, I am VERY interested! Really nice to see you do something different like this. Living in trees, shooting bows, taming animals, this could have become a dreadful elf fortress! But Aves are great! Because they're not elves. Wait did you say one-off? Dangit.
I really like these episodes that focus on non-dwarf species (or even just unusual dwarf societies). It's always cool to see how the game changes when dwarves aren't the focus!
About graphics for mods, there is an aschii mode in the game that you can use now. Even if we somehow need a graphics pack, modders can just choose to use letters anyway. In fact, they can always make the letters how they want. They could use other kinds of fonts to distinguish different tiles apart among other tricks that dont require being an artist. Plus, dedicated artists can also make graphics packs for the mods they love if they want to. I don't think any modders should be discouraged just because they still use letters. They will need letters anyway to be able to make mods work in classic.

Awesome to see another guest artist!
I really like the presentation and theme of this video. The art is done well if different
This video was so far from my expectations my head was spinning with amazement. Your passion is inspiring. You're a great advocate for the DF community!
Omg this art is incredible. Rac taking a nest box and laying eggs was incredible. I'm so hyped for this series.
This was such a fun short-fort! Pythania's art and Angelo's music gave it such a unique vibe - thank-you to both for the wonderful collaboration! I wouldn't be averse to more Aves content if it's something you want to stick with, and I'm always up for watching weird experiments of course!
production value just went through the roof
This was a TWEET video, which had me RAVEN that I cannot play this version of the game. It's no wonder fans FLOCK to your work, it's truly something to CROW about!
Puns aside, wonderful work!
This was a great episode! I fully support having other artists involved in your playthroughs.
You are by far the best Dorf youtuber. It would be cool to have moments when you look at everything in asci to see what it looks like for the OGs
This was such a cool fort, nice refreshing art and music too 👍
Absolutely gorgeous illustrations from your guest artist! And fun story as always, Krugg never disappoints.
Awesome video! I'm a huge fan of birds and the artist did a fantastic job! Your storytelling is fantastic as usual, Krugg!
I love the way you play df more than any other RUclips and seeing smaller mod showcases with your specific style of story telling and playing df makes mods more attractive. Keep it up krugg, this channel has craftsdwarfship of the highest quality. ❤
i really hope u never burn urself out on these videos. they just keep getting better and better!!
the music is amazing btw
Great one shot. I'm always amazed at the potential Dwarf Fortress has. The implementation of other races in the game would be incredible for the types of narratives that would emerge.
Just finished Northbridge and now there is another one of you videos. Beautiful.
Thank you for your work.
much as i love the standard kruggsmash art style the guest episodes are always fun
I really like these 'special' forts with modded civs. But then again, you come up with interesting, novel concepts on a regular basis, regular dwarves or something different.
Also, props to the illustrator and mod-maker!
Hooray for Bird Fortress!
Really hitting it out of the park with the art on this one, it is absolutely fantastic.
It was a really fun episode! Props to Pythania for the amazing art, always fun to see guest artists, and to Angelo for the music. And of course, to APPW for the fun mod that brought us this change of pace!
the culture shock of ave society and how they treat their eggs was hilarious
Hahaha lost it at Fatty noping out of the snake hunt
Loved this episode, what a great way to showcase a fun little mod and a very talented artist and musician! Keep up the Great Work! Cheers, Ivan :D
