    I always used to go barefoot as much as possible during summer, so I didn't need much of a transition to barefoot shoes. I'd say for those who enjoy going barefoot, minimalist shoes are a great option for when you have to wear something, but still want the ground feel.

    My favourite Vivobarefoot shoes are the Primus School II Juniors. I wore my first pair for 6 years, then this year replaced them.

    Just a small correction, our early ancestors started walking on two legs about 5 million years ago - that is the evolutionary history of our feet.

    Hey I noticed a difference in the toe box between a primus lite knit and a primus lite 3(lll) the toe box on the Primus lite 3 is wider than the primus lite knit so I feel more snuggled on knit one . My question what others vivo barefoot shoes are like fhe Primus lite 3 ? Maybe the primus lite fg ?

    One of your earlier videos is what made me decide to buy the Vivobarefoot primus trail 2 for trail running and im loving it even though i think I should have taken it slower because I got a calf injury not sure what its called in english Calf whiplash or something. Anyway im back at it and taking it a bit slower now and bought "zero drop wide toe box" safety shoes for work. And also got the Jim Green african ranger barefoot boots about a week ago for daily and im loving these the quality is superb and they feel good sole is thicker than the vivo's though but i think you should really try them out if you can get your hands on them!

      That's awesome to hear!
      Transition time is definitely an important factor that I think we've all been guilty of not taking into account at some point.
      I have heard of the Jim Greens and hopefully will get to give them a run out at some point in the future!

      I love the look and idea of the 'barefoot' collab model of the African Rangers.. but they don't appear to be actually barefoot shaped in the toe box. While they are wide and round, they still taper along the big toe. Any taper there will deviate the big toe when the foot is pressed against that side.

      I agree with you there but i gotta say mine are so wide that my little toe and big toe arent touching on the sides of the shoe and while im walking they do a little because my foot can move around in the shoe, the leather is very supple. @@childcrone

    I’ve been using barefoot for 2-3 years now and normal shoes just hurt so much more than they used too.

      Same dude. As soon as I put on a normal pair my old plantar fasciitis flares up almost immediately.

    Sorry, the picture to the video is a scam! That angle in the toe of the left foot doesn't come from the shoes shown! You need more extrem shoes to get such a false angle.

    • @TheBarefootStrengthProject
      @TheBarefootStrengthProject  9 месяцев назад

      Incorrect, a bunion forms from pressure on the big toe joint. Over time, the normal position of the bone, tendons, and ligaments changes, resulting in the big toe to lean toward the second toe.
      Summary: It's not the angle of the toe box, it's the pressure on the joint from a narrow tow box and you can clearly see the shoe is narrower than the foot, particularly around the toe joint.

      But it still beats a purpose of barefoot shoe. Vivobarefoot is still focused on fashion and it doesn't accomodate fully splayed foot as shown in the miniature the toe drop is still very agressive. softstar shoes with primal width are the only ones on the market with fully functional design (as far as i know)@@TheBarefootStrengthProject

      Not true at all. There are literally tribes that are barefoot with bunions.
