That shouldn't be a problem since once NGS releases, you'll likely be hopping back and forth to PSO2 since once you finish doing the new content for NGS there will be a lull time until they release a new update with new content. That's one of the main selling points the devs have been telling players as hopping between worlds is seamless and you are encouraged to do so since NGS will still need to flesh out content as they go while PSO2 has a lot already.
Do you like Devil May Cry? Do you want to feel like Dante or Raiden from MGS:Revengeance? Do you want to bet crazy amounts of burst dmg solely on your skills to dodge and i-frame your way through bosses' patterns? Then welcome aboard the Luster hype-train.
Mah dude. I know its a noob thing to ask. But how do you zap dodge? Im level 63 luster and i cant even do that. Looks so cool The problem with this scion is that it doesn't have practice luster.
Some Luster options are locked behind a level barrier for some reason, iirc the alternative forwards & backwards dodge are as such (unlocked at lv75). And yeah, there's just way too many things to keep track of at once ._.
In your personal opinion which stance is the best all around. If not applicable then which stance is best in which situations? Ontop of this which was the most enjoyable for you to play with?
I personally use Barants the most, followed by Fomel then Zandi. Barants' reach with the normal attack's projectile and weapon action makes it easier to stay at a distance, and the guard frames during stationary PAs also help a good deal with survivability. Fomel can do more damage than Barants, but has less range and is just a bit too high above my skill level to make the most use of. Zandi for me is more of a niche tool for mobbing; though single-target rotations exist, I just find it clunky with my PA button setup.
Wow thanks for the info, will you be doing a quick start guide at some point like you have with the other scions? Just curious as I'm really looking forward to this class with the global release and having that bit of knowledge to start up will help alot :)
I don't really use Zandi style outside of mobbing, but afaik it's mostly hold down normal attack for mob gathering (ala Zondeel) and charged weapon action for an area-based thunder blast that'll hit everything in the blast zone.
There's definitely a lot of em, yeah. - Regular Luster counter (dodge -> attack) - Movement counters (dodging counter) - Fomel & Barants weapon action charged attack (Guard frames) - Jump action (Also guard frames) - All stationary PAs during Barants (even more guard frames) - The entirety of Luster Time Finish There might be some I missed, but the list's already pretty long
@@silfes3036 Phantom's got invincibility on weapon action (both the normal dodge as well as the charged Marker Detonation), some PAs, and most notably one full second (!!!) of invincibility when casting techniques.
Can't you do this on any scion. I dont see how its "crazy"...I hope PSO2NGS sees some class division. All the scion class and look way too similar. Anyway banging sound track tho :)
yes, but it serves more as training wheels than an optimal way to play, since there's a lot to keep track of when playing Luster and the Smart PA can't manage _everything_ the game throws at it
I don't get why people are comparing this to the NGS Slayer class. This looks like a dull version of a Fighter/Braver and Hunter/Fighter set up in NGS. Hell, the actual Slayer class for NGS looks better than this. I can't believe people think that this is worth the like hundreds of hours of dull bullshit combat in PSO2 Classic you have to sit through to unlock the class.
This is a first-week impressions video that does a pretty meh job at showcasing the class's complexities (which is 100% my bad). I'd still consider Luster as the most mechanically complex (and well-kitted) class in legacy PSO2. It's a bit hard to tell from visuals, so a different comparison: the "quick guide" I made to explain how luster worked after putting more time into it clocks in at 9 mins, while the other scion classes' guides were 2-4 mins. Would recommend looking at high-tier plays like Depth 999 Masquerade runs to see the class in its full glory, would be a better demonstration than this video for sure.
@vyrde I think I saw both of those on the results list that also got me this video. I wasn't expecting a level-headed response though.
