Please note for any NA player who are new to Hr, the class itself has a number of nuance you need to learn first. In JP, Hr isn't a popular class compared to the rest as they have a huge Achilles heel, which makes or break a Hr player. While the class itself have a pretty high dmg multiplier, one of their high multiplier skill that contributes to their dmg, "Hero Boost", requires you to try not to get hit as taking a certain amount of dmg will lower your dmg% overall, but this multiplier slowly recovers over time or when you counter (if learned). This means you need to learn to telegraph your dodge against bosses to maintain your dmg% and avoid getting hit to take penalty from your Hero Boost skill. Another thing is with Hr and their weapon usage, you'll want to get used to using all three weapon so that you can build gear efficiently (which leads to Hero time and that leads to higher overall dps), also learning all three weapons enables you to make use specific against certain bosses like Deus for example.
@Durake no Not exactly; tl;dr Hero has a multiplier, Hero Boost, that caps at 80% extra damage (recently buffed on JP from 60%). It increases at 1% per second (and +20% with every Hero Counter, also a recent buff on JP). If you lose 20% of your hp in 5 seconds, the multiplier is reduced (used to be -30%, but is now buffed to only -20% per hit). Play good and not get hit, get Hero Counters = more Hero Boost

A few things from a JP player who's loved and hated Hero in equal measure: Hero Boost. The class hinges almost entirely on it. Not even Gunner is this unforgiving when it comes to missed dodges. Without Hero Boost, the class won't scale well in endgame. At times it felt like Bloodlust/Heroism back in World of Warcraft. Mastering 3 weapons. To achieve results like in this video, you're going to have to min/max Sword/TMG/Talis. All 3. I know of folks who get by with just Sword. It's doable. Just not as potentially fun and/or content-clearing. Also, affixing 3 weapons. Heavy investment, prohibitively so for some. Once Phantom/Etoile/Luster come to NA, you probably won't be playing much Hero. Hero was the first successor class and the concept had...well...teething problems. But SEGA being SEGA, changes were few and far between, added to the fact that Hero on JP remains the only non-sub-able class, people either went with it (at least up to 75 for the title boost) or left entirely.

Here's a summery of Hero class. 1) The best subclass for any dps with MATK, TATK, RATK 2) The weapon not exactly the best for the main class. It only has secondary damage type weapon if you try to main tech there... Tails are good but not the best as a Force main myself. It's weak as fk. Every other weapon are good though. 3) Even at level 60 you already get all the important skill as subclass. 4) Weakness that it doesn't work with DEX mag. If you looking for best DPS type of successor class it would be Phantom honestly. The best mag for it is DEX though. However if you main DEX there you literally are unstopable as Braver/Phantom or just Phantom. You literally get 3 best weapon for each and every kind of attack. The only weakness is there's too many skill that you can't spent on everything. That's the only weakness. Well for sure it's peak of damage with peak of self defence. This successor class is one of the reason why Fighter is no longer meta. I mean this one did just as much damage but with protection. What's there to compare? The best support successor will be the third one that I forgot it's name... (Sorry) By just exist in the team you already support everyone. That's why it's REALLY good as support. It's best to play Braver with DEX cause you won't be limited by range at all. Even more, if you want to max out other class to level 75 all you need to do is set braver or bouncer as sub class. This actually not that bad of an idea. I did the same too. Even more it's cheap to buy Mag too. You can just set your DEX mag character with also RATK mag. Literally no weakness. So the best way to play PSO2 is actually having 4 mag. Server, as in a Ship? (edit) if it's a choice of the Global or JP server, then I'd first recommend jumping in where you have friends or people to play with. Global has its issues, but as it's 100% English you might find that a little less daunting. It's also pretty accessible since it's on Steam. But it's not like JP is devoid of English players; Ships 2 and 10 have a lot of English players around. Midgame & endgame is a lot more accessible there than it is on Global, and you also get a lot more options in terms of cosmetics (six years' worth of periodic releases, compared to Global's couple months). However, there's also slightly more things to consider and learn if you intend on going there long-term, particularly with weapon gearing. If you have friends to play with on Global, I'd recommend starting there. If you're more interested in playing the game for yourself, starting on JP is a good choice too.
Dex, as in the stat or in a mag? Because Hero doesn't use a Dex mag nor does the Dex stat contribute a lot to damage. You just need as much Dex as required to equip the weapon you want to use I suppose.
@@silfes3036 I think it boils down to a combination of both learning enemy attack timings and getting used to the class's dodge i-frames. @@vyrde oho, thx for the tip, what about your key bind for ability pallette switch, weapon action and dodge? Since it feels like with my current key bond makes it hard to move right while trying to dodge
@@silfes3036 for switching between weapons, I just use Hero's cycle PAs since they're generally pretty convenient. Outside of that (when playing Bouncer for example) I use the numpad for quicker switching than mouse scroll. The attack slot I have weapon action bound to varies per weapon (RMB on TMGs, MMB on swords, Shift+MMB on talis), I think this is more a matter of preference. If there's one thing I strongly recommend, it's to turn off double tap directions for dodging and using a dedicated dodge button if you haven't already. I still use the default setting (bound to X) for all classes, and it makes dodging more consistent and less intrusive for movement.
If the damage taken within 5 (?) seconds of getting hit doesn't add up to 20% of your HP, Hero Boost will remain. But yes, you don't want to get hit on this class because having Hero Boost is a 80% damage buff at 60 seconds.
and then phantom comes and you will be baited into that and then etoile comes and you are baited into that and then luster comes and you will be baited into that
Ultra Hard area bosses aren't meant to be soloed. I'm not geared to take them on either since I didn't invest a lot -- gearwise or timewise -- into Hero. Hence, I can't make short & small highlights showcasing the class nearly as easily. The point of these videos is to showcase what the class plays like, not what I can get from killing enemies and bosses. Rare drops in PSO2 are too common anyways, while actual _valuable_ rare drops only appear once in a blue moon thanks to RNG.

What tmg camo is that?
Not a camo per se, but transmogrification using the Attache Nic TMG. I don't think it's in Global.
which voice character that you curently using?
Female Extra Voice 114.
What sword (or camo) is that?
The sword is the Atlas Ex sword without any camos, should be the premiere 15* weapon of Episode 5 alongside the Lightstream series.
Wht dex is good for This OP class?
Dex, as in the stat or in a mag? Because Hero doesn't use a Dex mag nor does the Dex stat contribute a lot to damage. You just need as much Dex as required to equip the weapon you want to use I suppose.
I must find the ora ora voice pack
BEASLEY!!!!! Look like 2B GAMEPLAY
How in the world do you do this, I can't even switch combo or even regular combo with hero
Well, I do have a Hero quick guide you can take a look at if you're feeling lost 👀
@@vyrde you have any tips on dodging? Like for hero, phantom, and luster since dodging is important for those classes
@@silfes3036 I think it boils down to a combination of both learning enemy attack timings and getting used to the class's dodge i-frames. If you can get past the constant deaths and look at her as a sparring partner, I honestly think Phaleg is a good place to practice not getting hit thanks to her aggressiveness and unforgiving damage
I still use the default setting (bound to X) for all classes, and it makes dodging more consistent and less intrusive for movement.
how does one get those kinds of words/voice lines out of the character?
Voice tickets, which I don't think are in Global.
@@vyrde so will they ever come
Get hit once...
"I'm not good at it"
???
U cant get hit using hero it lowers your damage multiplier
If the damage taken within 5 (?) seconds of getting hit doesn't add up to 20% of your HP, Hero Boost will remain. But yes, you don't want to get hit on this class because having Hero Boost is a 80% damage buff at 60 seconds.
what he said
@@acefreak9561 you should read the description
@@atlasdgen i did it says nothing important dont try to be a smartass kid
it looks like they took hunter and actually made it fun lol or is this just sped up and its not really that fast?
This is real time, no DMC Turbo mode here.
@@vyrde im actually interested in regular swords again now not just katanas lol
Build?
80% kekw
Damn you are baiting to main Hero XD
do it 👀
and then phantom comes and you will be baited into that and then etoile comes and you are baited into that and then luster comes and you will be baited into that
Release on xbox?
The game's on Xbox yes, but the class isn't out just yet no. 1 more week until release I think
@@vyrde ty
Kora.... domo xD
Skill tree?
Generic maxed-out Hero tree, with the spare points dumped into All Atk Up:

why u do low level enemies? Why not ultra hard? also why not show loot? what point of kill with no loot?
Ultra Hard area bosses aren't meant to be soloed. I'm not geared to take them on either since I didn't invest a lot -- gearwise or timewise -- into Hero. Hence, I can't make short & small highlights showcasing the class nearly as easily.
The point of these videos is to showcase what the class plays like, not what I can get from killing enemies and bosses. Rare drops in PSO2 are too common anyways, while actual _valuable_ rare drops only appear once in a blue moon thanks to RNG.
Bleh try fighting someone your own size XD
game isnt balanced what so ever. this is ridiculously easy looking. 10000 pc attacks vs 1 npc attack.
What if I told you these were the punching bags, and not the sparring match?
@@vyrde looks like a toddlers button mashing would be would be overkill still
@@codysthoughts4301 If you're looking for challenging quest showcases, there's a lot of more skillfull PSO2 demonstrations than mine out there. Phaleg, Execour, and Mitra/Varuna runs come to mind
I want those TMGs
What TMG camo was that
Attache Nic, but transmog. Not in Global since it's an Old-type weapon
@@vyrde actually I think I found it. It's the Smart Obs Katana / TMG skin or something like that, from the photon booster shop
@@weltall7283 The color is different, but yeah the shape is basically that.
