Handheld tally counter, good hiking socks, good ankle brace if u have weak ankles, highliters, sharpies, multi tool, a good stainless steel fishing pliers tether for your keys, and a couple handkerchiefs wouldn't hurt.
@@christian5525 as of right now I have only done U/A drug test. Of course I was clear , also passed/clear the medical 🏥 exam. Passed the back check very fast . Just got my Physical Ability Test to do in 4 days, less than an hour ago they moved it a day early, maybe 🤔 it’s a good 👍🏼 sign.
@@christian5525 the line where I type “Pass the back test….” I meant passed the background check. I always applied for BNSF but I guess I wasn’t their type. But I am grateful 😇 I got Union Pacific Railroad 🛤️ process going and feeling good 👍🏼 about it. Union Pacific Railroad 🛤️ & BNSF Railway are the 2 big boys on the block , I am grateful 😇 I got a conditional job offer, been passing & clearing one test after another. Grateful 😇 for a new challenge after a long previous challenging 👮🏼♂️career. You should apply Union Pacific Railroad 🛤️, they got many types of jobs that can lead to a challenging career with great pay 💰 & benefits.
Agree, i suggest don't buy anything new until you know how (what) you need or want. Thrift store can find great back backs and in expensive clothing until you learn how and what you need. Also Pencils! pens don't work well on wet (soggy) switch lists.
Well i had my first day of class today, i went to leave this morning and discovered someone had stolen my truck from the hotel parking lot. I got a ride to class from the officer that took my report, all i kept thanking diring my hang test was i have to stay on this ladder because i have no way back to ohio 😢
Do not EVER use ANYTHING other than a railroad latern for sigaling the Engineer. They are designed for this porpoise... remember the spot light is for you the ring light is for me! Dont shine the spot in the Engineers mirrors!
I've been at railroad conductor almost 19yrs..and i literally have everything he suggested in this video..lol👍

@@1INSOLENTDOBERMAN nice goodluck man! i submitted an application to UP few days ago, just waiting to hear back
@@1INSOLENTDOBERMAN did you have another interview after the virtual one?
Is it true what the indeed reviews are saying on CPKC that they are hiring people they firing them right after?
Been going on for years yes
Don’t forget the spare knuckle pin to add to the engrs bag for added weight
Don't forget to pack a knuckle in your grip when you get a "Not so great Engineer "...👍👍👍👍
I’m awaiting start date with ns how long before they get back in touch with me?
thanks for the video. I just recently did a interview with ns
I came to class with all of my ppe i didn't use any of it once. Lol. I just needed my iPad and a notebook for class.
This wait time for the apps is brutal lol
Really appreciate your videos, thanks for all the helpful information.
Glad you like them!
Add a break away lanyard for the mic. Some companies don’t like them that’s all I used in my career and they made radio usage tolerable.
What is the brand of ear piece do you use? Thanks
the ones i'm currently using are SkullCandy
I have been thinking about doing machinist for the CPKC. Need to get stronger though

How terrible, where was this?
@sergstrucks it was the comfort inn on Bill Gardner parkway in McDonough Georgia
Do those ear pieces really work….I use a kenwood radio at cp conductor 2 years
WHATS THE MOST YOU EVER MADE IN A YEAR AS A CONDUCTOR FOR BNSF

you mean you don't like being blinded by a random bright light when shoving?
Goid rain gear. Not the cheap plastic stuff.. You'll sweat wet just as much as being in the rain.
